-Ellera Prime-

Merik looked at Jones.

"Alright, Lets return to the station before we leave and get some equipment. I dont want to risk getting captured or defenceless," he said.
"I dont want to have to be rescued by the captain while Im trying to rescue him again"

Middle Ages, Throne Room

Before she got an answer out of the Human guard, the Romulan, who had escorted her to the washroom earlier, came out of nowhere and smashed the side of her face with the blunt end of an axe.

Juliana was stunned by the move. She let go of the wounded Human's body, letting it fall to the ground, along with her blood-covered iron dagger. Juliana, herself, stumbled backwards a few steps, her hand to her left cheek, which was now bruised a black color. Her skin had been torn by the edge of the axe and a slow, yet steady, stream of blood began to fall from her cheek, onto her uniform and then onto the stone ground.

Juliana felt no pain. She was sore, though. She couldn't feel her cheek, at all. She could feel the blood dripping down her skin, which was an eerie feeling.

Instinctively, Juliana ran forward. She brushed past the Romulan, across the hall, and into an open door, in which the boy and the Klingon had already entered, moments earlier. She wasn't strong enough to take on both of those guards, even if one of them was one-handed. She was a doctor, not a warrior!

Ziona shook her head.

"I understand why you did all this and I don't at the same time." She sighed heavily. "Things just seem so complicated at times."

Ziona leaned against the stone wall, glancing down into the battle again. Another sigh escaped her lips, this time a rather sad sigh. She leaned her cheek against her hand gently and watched the battle below her.

"I guess we're not meant to understand everything."

Bach slowly nodded his head.

"Life is always complicated," He replied, "God or not."

He watched the battle continue to rage. The rebels were being beaten, slowly and slowly.

"Well my wife," He said, "What do you think I should do with these...rebels?"

He turned to her and smiled.

-Middle Ages, Prison-

Ian was still being carried by the Klingon when he saw Julianna, blood soaked, run past them.

"Doctor!" He yelled, "What the hell is going on!"

-Elerra Prime-

Jones nodded his head and tapped his combadge.

"Jones to DSG," He said, "Three to beam up."

Jones, Merik, and the young Native American security officer beamed back to the station...

Ziona kept her eyes locked on the men below her. She was suddenly feeling comfortable with Bach, almost like she sympathized with him. She watched as the Rebels were beaten back farther and farther from the castle.

"I wonder what their intentions are." She spoke quietly. "I would suggest figuring what why it is they're attacking." She turned to look at Bach.

Middle Ages

Juliana was suprised by the Captain. She stopped and looked over to the Captain, who was still being carried by the burly Klingon from before. To the Captain's question, she merely shrugged.

"To be honest, Captain..." Juliana began, with a slight trace of worry in her tone of voice. "I have no idea..." Juliana let a small sigh escape her lips. "And...personally...I could care less about this world's internal affairs. All that I care about is getting away from this godforsaken world and returning to our own...if it even still exists..." Juliana sighed, as she remembered memories of the world she had known...of Deep Space Guardian...of Yelia...her Sickbay...it all seemed so far away. It felt as if she would never see her world, again...

-Middle Ages, Northern Tower-

Bach laughed loudly and for a moment, he was his old joviel self.

"I know why they're attacking," He said, "The rebellion was founded by your friend, captain Archer. Much older now. He realized what I had done and taught the people ways to fight against..."God"."

-Middle Ages, Prison-

Ian sighed and shook his head.

"Where is Ziona!?" He demanded.

Ziona frowned heavily at this. Captain Archer... a much older Captain Archer. She crossed her arms on her chest and sighed heavily.

"I don't like the fighting." She finally announced before moving to another window and looking out on the landscape in that direction.

Bach rose an eyebrow and eyed her carefully.

"Killing him will only make him a martyr," He said, "And there is no compromise. All they want is the "restoration" of time."

Middle Ages

Juliana shrugged, again.

"I don't know where she is, Captain." Juliana replied, with a hint of sadness in her voice. "I had "asked" one of the guards here, down in the Throne Room, but, I was attacked before he could answer." At that, Juliana pointed to her bruised cheek. The numbness had began to fade and she could feel the pain in her cheek, now. "Hurts like hell, Captain." Juliana muttered, with a soft laugh. "But, we don't have time to waste, Captain. We need to find Ziona before Bach's guards finish off the rebels down there." she pointed back down the staircase, to the Throne Room. "I swear that I had heard one of the guard's yell something about the North Tower. Maybe that is where Bach and Ziona are...I'm not exactly sure..." Juliana shrugged, again, with a faint sigh, afterwards.

"I'm not suggesting that you kill him.. I'm just saying I don't like the fighting." She leaned against the window sill again and looked out. "Can you believe that? The chief tactical officer of a Starfleet vessel... and I hate fighting."

-Middle Ages, Prison-

Ian felt himself being put down. The Klingon rushed off to face approaching soldiers. Ian groaned in pain from his injured leg. He looked at Julianna.

"Get yourself to safety!" He ordered.

Ian had lost sigh of Grey and had no clue where he was. Somewhere with the rebels, safe hopefully. Ian limped his way towards the North tower...

-Middle Ages, North Tower-

Bach smiled and shrugged.

"Fate tends to do that," He said, "Makes one wonder if I'm really in control at all, like mr Grey pointed out earlier."

Ziona sighed heavily and seated herself on a nearby straight-backed chair and watched Bach carefully. She studied him for a few moments.

"I guess I misjudged you, Bach." She looked down at her hands in her lap, smoothing them over her silk dress. "I just want to go back to Deep Space Guardian... I had a life there. And I miss the security. You have to understand that."

(I'm doing it, again...ugh!)

Middle Ages

Juliana raised in eyebrow to the Captain.

"You aren't going off like that, alone, are you?" Juliana snapped, sarcastically. Juliana laughed, which was followed up with a cough, mixed with a little bit of blood. "I'm going with you!" Juliana shouted, down to the Captain, who was limping his way down the staircase. With a shrug, she, too, rushed down the stairs, after the limping Captain.

-DSG Armory-

Merik walked into the Armory and grabbed a phaser rifle and put the strap around his neck.

He reached forward and grabbed another phaser holster and threw that over his other shoulder.

"Ian will need this" he thought to himself. He looked over his shoulder at Jones picking up a medical kit and a phaser. With a nod the two left for the Transporter room to attempt to beam into the Captains "location"

Bach slowly nodded his head.

"So you want me to...undo everything?" He said, "Let the galaxy take its own toll?"

He lifted his hand.

"Instead of placing the hand of the faithful on it?" He asked.

-Middles Ages, Throne Room-

Ian stumbled into the room, followed by Julianna. A dead Jem'Hadar, dressed as a knight, lay on the floor. Ian grabbed his phaser and walked up to the orb. It hung over his head, nearly fifty up into the air. He aimed the phaser at it.

"Julianna?" He asked, "Do you think you can deactivate the hover devices holding that?"

There were consoles everywhere. One was bound to control that...

-Elerra Prime-

Jones and Merik beamed back to the exact location. Jones held his tricroder up and looked at Merik.

"I'm going to find a way to stimulate the radiation," He said, "Here goes nothing..."

Jones tapped the the tricorder and saw the energy readings spike...

Ziona hesitated.

"No, that wouldn't work either." She sighed heavily. "I don't know what I want, Bach." She rested her chin in her hands and fell into silence. She wanted to go back to DSG but if that meant undoing everything... she couldn't go about changing the way things were. She couldn't face doing that.

Middle Ages, Throne Room

Juliana shrugged, for probably the hundreth time that day. She was a doctor, not an engineer, but, she did have some experience with engineering.

"Well...I'm not an engineer, but, I know my fair share. I took an Engineering Extensions course back at the Starfleet Medical Academy." Juliana explained, almost rambling. When she had realized she was rambling, she quickly snapped back into reality. "Sorry..." Juliana muttered, her ears turning a bright pink.

Juliana glanced around the room. Many consoles lined the walls. One of them would control the orb that hovered above.

"I think I can do it." Juliana said, at last. She looked over to the Captain and winked. "Although, I bet Mr. Grey would be better at this situation than I. I'll do my best, in his stead." Juliana sighed, with a grin. "And...uhh...Captain? Good luck finding Ziona." Juliana said, her voice full of warmth.

With that, she hurried off, narrowly avoiding a stray axe blow, from a massive Gorn rebel, towards the computers on the far end of the room.

-Elerra Prime-

Jones was about to respond to Merik when suddenly the radiation compounded itself to them and they were whised away to another time...

-Middle Ages, North Tower-

Bach was about to respond when a moment later, Ian stumbled through the doors. All of Bach's guards were dealing with the rebels. They were alone...

"Get away from her Bach!" Ian yelled.

He raised his phaser to him.

Ziona jumped, startled when Ian burst in. She stood next to Bach, her hand on her chest watching Ian.

"Ian." She whispered as he limped in. She noticed his leg and started towards him. "Oh my god, you're injured."

Merik and Jones both "appeared" in the stairwell.

Meriks heart was thumping so hard in his chest he could hear it. The sudden change of scenery caught him off guard. He quickly shook off and looked to Jones.

"Any sign of the Captain and the rest of the crew?" he said, he thought he could hear the sounds of battle in the distance.

Middle Ages, Throne Room

Juliana worked away on one of the computer consoles that were lined along the far wall. So far, her attempts at releasing the orb from the device, above, had been unsuccesful. Apparently her Engineering Extensions courses back at the Medical Academy weren't enough.

She stepped back from the console, with a look of frustration in her eye's. She wiped the sweat off of her brow, hurridely, her eye's gleaming in worry. If they were to get back to the "real world", they would need that Orb. It was how they got to this place in the first place.

Behind Juliana, the fight was coming to a close. The rebels were losing. Only about five rebels remained, compared to over ten guards. The rebels were beginning to defeat. She was running out of time.

With no other choice, Juliana picked up an axe that lie on the floor, next to a dead Gorn, and smashed it into the computer console. Just as she did so, the Orb was released from the device above and fell to the ground.

Juliana was suprised. Sometimes violence was the answer, after all. She cast the axe to the ground and ran off, into the middle of the room, to catch the Orb as it fell to the ground.

She managed to catch the Orb, succesfully. With the mysterious, gel-like Orb in hand, she ran off towards the North Tower, in order to inform the Captain of her success. Also, she would need to know what to do with it. It seemed that only Bach knew the Orb's true purpose.

As she ran, she thought about the Captain and the others. She hoped that the Captain and Chief Tactical Officer were alright...

Bach watched the reunion and made no move to stop her. Ian looked over at Ziona and shook his head.

"I'm fine," He said, "Did he hurt you?"

Jones held up his tricorder and scanned. Strangely enough, he detected ALIEN life forms. He ignored it and tried to find a Starfleet signiture. He couldn't find any, so he tried to find their specific life signs. Much more detailed and difficult scan.

"I'm getting something," He said, "To the north..."

Ziona shook her head.

"No... he... he didn't." She glanced back at Bach. "I..." She hesitated. "Maybe he isn't as bad as we think, Ian." She looked over at Ian. The words coming out of her mouth seemed so foreign to her but they felt true... like she actually believed them.
