Thats a thought that I would'nt think too much on. Tom Paris is like 20 years younger than Kathryn, and shes like old enough to be his aunt. Not that age has held anyone back but its just...wrong. They might've had nice children though, but...no.*shakes uncontrolablely*
As for B'Elanna and Chakotay, eehh. I could see it but as I said above its like the age difference. I love all four characters the way they were set but you know me I'm one in a million other Janewayites on this site that are still going for J/C!

Yup j/c... Couldn't pic Chakotay and B'Elanna in a romantic relationship but just as good friends. Tom and Janeway, No, they wouldn't look good together.

LMAO! I know, that would be weird. Although I do know that somewhere out there, they do have Janeway/Paris fanfiction. They also have Janeway/Seven fanfiction, which is...interesting. But her and Chakotay had so much chemistry! I loved Tom and B'Elanna being together. It would have been interesting if Harry got together with Seven though.

- Kind of interesting that you've pointed out the age thing. When I notice your avatar...
I don't see anything between Janeway and Paris...Anyone on the crew I could ever see Janeway with would be Chakotay.
B'Elanna and Chakotay - they have much more potential than Janeway and Paris. But I see them more as a brother/sister type of relationship. And I do know that B'Elanna had a thing for Chak-old boy for a while there. I think it's a good thing she didn't act on it.

An awkward situation if you ask me, Paris and Janeway never got really close in the series, at least not as close as Chakotay and Janeway. Then ofcourse there's also the age difference and the personality of Tom doens't go too well with that of Kathryn either. Although personality differences can be a plus in relationships. It just doesn't seem right in this case.
And now to answer your question, What if...?
I think it would have seriously damaged STV.

Uh...hello!?
Janeway and Tom Paris did get together and made a GREAT couple. Hell, they loved each other so much they had babies.
Of course, you people are trying to forget that! Geez!

Oh...looks like I hit a nerve there....
Threshold, no matter what, is canon. Thus, Janeway and Thomas Paris are a couple. There are no morals on this show! I mean, they didn't even get married, they humped liked two random lizards and wham.

Haha...What about Kirk? And Riker? So Janeway and Tom were on the same crew...and one could say that because they were in a lizard state, that they were going off of primitive instinct...Where as Kirk and Riker made a CHOICE...LOL...
