Class Information/History:
The Nova classes are Starfleet�s newest, most advanced scientific starships. The Class is intended as a replacement for the aging Oberth Class. The Nova class is designed as a scientific and scout vessel intended for short term planetary research and analysis after the region has been scouted by larger explorer vessels. This class is not meant for Long range tactical missions.

The Nova class has a maximum warp speed of eight. In comparison with other Starfleet vessels, the Nova class has minimal weaponry, limited to defensive phasers and torpedoes. The class has a small crew compliment and no holodecks. Nova class starships are capable of extended atmospheric flights, and are capable of planetary landings. A Special feature to this class is the Waverider shuttle.

Unlike most other Starfleet vessels, the Nova class has only one impulse drive, located at the aft of deck two.

The weapons systems on the Nova class are meant for defensive purposes only.

The Main Deflector is located at the secondary hull. In the event of failure, an auxiliary Deflector is located on the saucer section.

The class is equipped with deflector shields for defensive purposes. The shields can be recharged fully after a charging period of 45 seconds. The grid of the shield system is located along the secondary hull.

The Nova class ships are equipped with escape pods.

Bio: Mitchell Reins grew up on an old Earth Colony in the Beta Quadrant called Allara. Little is known of his childhood home or of his family other than the fact that they are of Scottish origin. He joined Starfleet acadamy at 16 as to become a Tactical Officer. His studies changed to Engineering and command. After Graduating he was assigned to DSG where he served as an engineer untill he was transferred to the USS Endevor and promoted to Lieutenant and assistant Cheif Engineer. He was soon promoted to Lieutenant Commander due to the lack of Officers. He continued to serve on the Endevor untill it was destroyed in an engagement with the Borg and the crew was forced to abandon ship. After a few more years he was promoted to Commander and served as first officer aboard the USS Petemkin-C. In 2391 Mitchell was promoted to Captain and Captained the USS Arginaught for 2 years, he was then Transferred to the USS Halo where he still serves.

Bio: Keer was born and raised on Earth on 2317. She is very old and has seen the Alpha quadrant undergo many changes. Keer did not join Starfleet until she was nearly 50 years old. She had wanted to stay out of galactic politics her whole life, but could no longer after the Borg threat. She had been a scholar on Earth and due to her knoweledge, she graduated Starfleet academy easily. Keer was assgined to the USS Halo as an ensign. She rose through the ranks until eventually attaining the rank of first officer. She had seen many of her comrades dies, from Dominion forces to anomalies. Her wise knowledge had been a huge help for the captain and the ship

Admiral Riker:

Bio: Riker entered Starfleet Academy c. 2353 and graduated in 2357, finishing eighth in his class. He acquired a lifelong reputation for using unorthodox solutions, as Enterprise Second Officer Data estimated he used traditional tactics only 21% of the time. Among the earliest assignments of his career were on the Excelsior-class USS Potemkin, on the planet Betazed, where he met Deanna Troi. He then served as a lieutenant and then a lieutenant commander on the USS Hood. Riker had two cruises on the Hood, his second (2361 � 4) as XO. During his time on the Potemkin, Riker was involved in a transporter accident while beaming up from a planet; that accident created an exact copy of him � later going by the name Thomas Riker � who remained on the planet. Seven years after graduation, 2364, he requested and received a transfer to the USS Enterprise-D, the Starfleet flagship of that time, where he served as XO under Captain Jean-Luc Picard. During the Borg invasion of 2366-7, Riker was field promoted to Captain of the Enterprise after Captain Picard was abducted and transformed into the drone/spokesperson Locutus; after Picard's rescue, Riker returned to his previous position and rank. After his assignment to the Enterprise, the fast-tracking young commander's career came to rest, and he remained on the Enterprise for nearly a decade and a half. Following the destruction of the Enterprise-D in 2371, Riker was reassigned to the USS Enterprise-E, where he again was Picard's first officer.

On the Enterprise, Riker was a popular officer with many close friends among the crew, acting as the visible extension and "softer face" of the somewhat aristocratic Captain Picard's authority. He also served as a diplomat to alien races, becoming romantically involved with a number of alien women before finally marrying long-time friend and companion Deanna Troi, now the ship's counselor.

In 2379, having previously turned down several promotions in order to continue serving with Picard, Riker finally accepted promotion to Captain and assignment to command of the USS Titan. In the same year, he also married Deanna Troi.

In 2380 when Jean Luc Picard finnaly accepted his promotion to Admiral, he requested that Riker become the new captain of the Enterprise, Riker accepted the offer.

Riker served as captain with his wife as cheif councillor for another 10 years before he was promoted to Admiral.
