Day looked at her with a great big grin. "Well let's hurry up eat so we can meet this new commander, which you and me can fight over by the way." Dayanara said with a grin and a wink. "By the way, what did you do to get that Klingon woman mad, sleep with her husband?" Day said with a twinkle in her eyes as she joked with Jenni.

Ken shifted from his place leaning against a wall and pulled out a small handheld computer and started toying with a few programs on it. He glanced up enough to take into account the other people in the room before he took a seat on the floor, his back to the wall, bent over his work.

Setra let out a huff of air, trying to not be so nerviouse. She noticed the one of asian decent was working on a computer, doing somehting. She casually, inched closer, sure that no one here would be mean to her. "Uh...what have you got there?" Setra huffed again, gaining a bit of confidence...

Ken glanced up at Setra and smiled halfway.

"I'm working on a... program for life support control and such. Pet project of mine." He spoke slowly, pronouncing all his words carefully. He was self-concious of his Japanese accent. He held the computer so she could see. "It's... sort of just a skeletal structure at the moment, but... I should be able to finish soon."

Setra nodded and kneeled down. She was intruiged. Life support now, on ships were ran with constant human supervision needed. She thought she noticed his words being... carfully done, but she just figured maybe thats how he spoke. "What do you plan for it to do? be more automated?"

Setras eyes widen momentarily. She let out a whisper. "Wow..." She made a half glance at the PADD. "Would it scan the person, and adjust to the comforts to the person as per pre programed? or just a general idea, from comfots averaged from a particular species?" Setra was deffinitly interested now. Messing around with sensors and the like was something her father had tuaght her on computers.

"The temperature will adjust to the species and body temperature and the climate will adjust towards the person's... preprogrammed settings."

Ken smiled at Setra.

"You seem to know alot about this sort of thing."

Setra nodded. "Well, My father taught me some things, He did some things with computers, and such. Passed it on to me." Setra let out a half smile. "Have you figured out a power disrabution system yet?"

Setra thought for a moment. She needed more to solve the problem, but had an Idea of what it could be. "Is it an EPS feedback of any kind?"

Setra nodded and started looking at the Computer. She squinted her eyes as she looked over what was programed so far, and the power requirements. She nodded slowly. "OK,...I think the EPS junction wasn't set up for this kind of a system, becuase it don't run though the core system." She tapped some controls. "If you adjust it here, and here... then the power systems can withstand the increase in the system preformance and fucntions..."

Ken looked it over carefully and nodded in agreement.

"Very good. I didn't even think of changing that."

He typed quickly and entered a few items before he saved the program.

"That should work. Thank you... um... I don't know you're name, ma'am."

Setra started to blush. "Not many think of that..." She looked down, trying to hide her face turning a tan/crimson. "Uh...Setra...that's my name." She cleared her throat. "what's yours?"

Ken watched her momentarily.

"Se-ta-ra." He romanized her name into Japanese syllables and said it a few times to engrain it into his mind. "My name is Ken. It's very nice to meet you." He bowed slightly to her, even from his sitting position on the floor.

Ahmad watched as another person entered the room. He was talking to the Asian male he knocked over. Ahmad was in no mood to socialize. He rushed towards the front row of the conference room and took a seat.

Setra smiled slightly while she still felt herself blushing. It was starting to go away though. "It's nice to meet you, too." She looked at him for a moment. "Where are you from, Ken?"

Setra replied. "Right here in California. Mostly San Fransico, even after my mother died at Wolf 359." Setra looked down and fidiled with her hands. "What's Tokyo like?"

Ken watched Setra.

"I'm sorry to hear about your mother, Setra-san. it is hard to lose a loved one."

He paused a few moments.

"Tokyo... it's hard to me to think of how to expalin Tokyo in English. Let me see..." He paused a few moments, thinking of the translations. "Very busy... crowded... but it's a wonderful town. Much to do... all the time. It's a great night town. You go out with friends at night and there are tons of places to go and people to see."
