The most explored trek species?

Vulcans weren't featured prominentatly in TNG or DS9, which is why the Klingons have the edge. Not to mention they were in several of the movies.

No, I don't really mean episode wise, or what starfleet did. What I meant was over the period of time with trek. Like Klingons, we pretty much know everything about them in a sort, because of how much has been said about them.

I watched an episode in my DS9 Season II set called "Blood Oath". That episode alone had a lot of stuff to say about Klingons...not to mention, it is tied as being my favorite episode in the set.

Actually, while I agree that the Klingons were the most explored, Bajoran second, I disagree with you, Founder, that a non-Trek fan would say Klingon first. Believe me, every non-Trek fan, if anything, knows of the Vulcans because they know about Kirk and Spock. Even before I started to like Star Trek it was the Vulcans that I knew. If I asked someone at school if they knew of any species they would most definitely say Vulcan.

EDIT: Just as well, everyone knows the Vulcan hand salute or whatever they call it, as well as, about half as much, if not more, the Vulcan neck pinch (especially with Spacballs, lol). Most also recognize the "Live Long and Prosper" line, and if any non-Trek fan knows anything about Trek, it's usually the Vulcans, Kirk, or the "bald Captain" (Picard). Klingons would probably come after Vulcans in terms of non-human alien recognition.
It's like the Blues. You can ask people what they think about it, but when you ask them a musician they know, although there are very prominent ones that they know about (like, uh, Jimi Hendrix) it's B.B. King that everybody knows and recognizes. Same with the Vulcans.

Hhmm....not from what I've seen. Usually when they are making fun of ST in movies or tv shows, I've seen them mention Klingons. Even if it is a passing reference to Star Trek, they mention Klingons. The only time I've seen them mention Vulcans is only something about Spock, not Vulcans as a while.

Im still going for Vulcans. Also id like to add that i think one of the least devloped species in star trek story lines is humans.
