My mother bought a bunch of candy. Only four peanut butter cups/eggs. So, I grabbed those, and ran, They can all split the rest, that is so a fair trade, no?

Happy Easter, One and All! Did the Easter Bunny come to your house, 'cause he sure came to mine!
But keep in mind the reason for this holiday...

Personally, I think if you're not Christian you shouldn't celebrate Easter (unless your Pagan). But otherwise, I guess you could have candy and the Easter Bunny and all that.

Unbeknownst to you, I bet you don't realize that other cultures have similar holidays this long weekend.
In india, for example there was one of thier biggest celebrations on Saturday, but all anyone cared about was getting to the airport on time to make it for easter dinner on sunday.
I've also become disgusted around work with people getting days off because they are christian.
My assistant manager happens to be hindu, and, despite the fact that it was a holiday he still worked.
I also happen to wish to point out that alot of people in canada and the us would be celebrating thier own traditions, had it not been for the christians making it illegal to celebrate them several hundred years ago.
My father's tribe, for example, happens to be christian now, however, a century and a half ago, they were called "Savages" because they believe in thier traditions.
Perhaps you should think about other people's traditions before you go insulting people because they celebrate christian traditions without bieng christian to make thier family happy.
I realize this may offend some people, but this is how I feel.

Happy easter everyone. (just in time too, its april 16th at 23:45 now here)

Easter always reminds me of what it is for. The resurrection of Jesus.... Now to remember it for next year so i can play smart to all the people who don't.

He wasn't talking about those holidays, though. He was talking about Easter in particular. Or so I gathered.

Anyway, I only celebrate Easter because I have to. So on that note- Happy Easter.

The only shallow person in this topic is you.
People can celebrate whatever they want.

You're mad because people scrambled to the airport to get home to celebrate Easter with their families? So the hell what? What is wrong with that?

Those bastards wanted to celebrate Easter with their family! Sickos!

Thats great that the Hindu man continued to work despite the holiday, but just because he stayed to work, doesn't mean we all have to. People celebrate holidays in different ways. Remember? Isn't that what you're preaching? We all have different customs?

Also, my girl friend is Hindu and she says that the holiday this weekend was MINOR. Not "one of their biggest celebrations".

I think what RM was trying to say was that it may seem strange for a non-Christian to celebrate Easter. Almost like me, a Catholic, celebrating Ramadan. Muslims wouldn't be mad but would find it strange. Personally, I dont mind non-Christians celebrating Easter or Christmas or whatever. Its a holiday. Be safe and have fun. Nothing wrong with that. We shouldn't turn our holidays into excluve club only days.

I knew when I saw a religious topic that someone would come in to spread the hate and how Christianity=evil. Its a sad reality on STV. Sad....

Anywho...Happy Easter to all. Have a good and SAFE weekend. You too Dan, with all your legal age drinking....

Oi. I highly doubt this thread was intened to be a debate about religion and the meaning of holidays I think anyone can celebrate if they want to, as long as they know why the holiday came about.

[/end rant]

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday
