I just got this game 1 day ago and I am very impressed. Normally I wouldn't buy wrestling games for the ps2 but this one was really interesting so I got it. Now the game is realistic to the bone, which makes it so great.
A couple of things the game should have is more wrestlers available for use during match events. I can only have a maximum 20 wrestlers on my roster and quite frankly that is too low. I want at least 30 wrestlers.
Now the game is great because you can be a General Manager and run Smackdown or RAW. You can set up matches and types of matches with the allowed budget.
The one feature missing in this game is an anytime Royal Rumble, which means I can have a Royal Rumble on Raw or Smackdown when I want. They instead have Battle Royals which only has a maximum 6 wrestlers. What they also did wrong is only 4 female wrestlers can wrestle at the same time compared to male who can wrestle with 6.
But besides these issues the game is great and fun.
I recommend this game to hardcore wrestling fans.

I have it. In fact, I have every Smackdown game released for the PS1/PS2.
I like this new one, particularly the stamina system, which allows for more realism during matches and means you have to come up with a strategy, rather than just throwing moves out. I also like the General Manager mode, it's more exciting than I thought it would be.
I think it's better than last years SD VS Raw, but will SD VS Raw 2007 top it? I hope we see even more wrestlers in the 2007 version, particularly The Boogeyman, Simon Dean and Bobby Lashley.
Also, I've unlocked all the legends now. I think it's time I put Hulk Hogan (my favourite wrestler of the 80s) VS Stone Cold Steve Austin in a Steel Cage Match.
Borgslayer, please tell me a bit more about what you've been doing with the game? Who are your champions currently? Are you playing Season or GM mode? I look forward to your views.

Well in the game currently my Stars as GM on Smackdown.
Mark Jindrak 84 Ratings. (World Heavyweight Champion)
Shawn Michaels 99 Ratings & Chris Jericho 80 Ratings (World Tag Team Champions)
Big Show 78 Ratings (United States Champion)
Tajiri 72 (Cruiserweight Champion)
What I am trying to do in the game is boost up the ratings of the not so well known stars like William Regal, Tajiri, Rob Van Dam, Mark Jindrak...etc
If I can raise their ratings to 90 or close to it I wouldn't need to have guys like Triple H or John Cena. I have already a great line up that would give me great matches.

A really good strategy for boosting a rating on GM Mode is to have 2 of your best stars battle each other for the whole day. Lets say Triple H is 90 Rating vs Shawn Michaels at 95 have these guys battle different main event matches just for that day.
I can get up to 3.5 4.0 or even 4.5 and 5 ratings for every match if both stars have high ratings. This will quickly steal the fans from the other show.

Interesting strategies there, I'll have to bear them in mind.
Mark Jindrak as World Champion? That sounds good, I like that.

I switched to RAW so my Smackdown is obsolete.
So Far my highest ranking star is Randy Orton, Batista, Triple H, and Kane.
For my divas its Stacy Keibler and Trish Stratus. I am going to trade Lita for someone else because her ranking is starting to fall.
Of course in a no rules match I basically beat Danny Basham, and Randy Orton so my Mark Jindrak is a Continental Champion and Heavyweight Champion. I will work to get him to 100 Popularity.
As for the overall game the best strategy now to giving a low ranking star up fast is to always have a handicap match against the person who has the highest rank in the show. Have the person who is highest in rank who just won the match go against a 3 vs 1 handicap match. Then pick on someone else who has a second highest rank. In no time my stars will be in the 80s and 90s and even 100s popularity.
Another fun thing to do in the game is to create a celebrity using the create a superstar. So far I have created Jeri Ryan as my Diva.

I've created a few comic book characters. Aquaman was easy to do, and so was The Joker. I'd love to do Superman and Batman, but I don't think you can add capes.
I'm not playing Season Mode or GM mode for a little while, I'm just relaxing with some random matches right now. By the way, did you ever play any of the Legends of Wrestling games, developed and published by Acclaim?
