Marisa's plaintive attitude irked Walker slightly, but the captain did not show it. He simply said, "Commander du Sema will select the team based on the mission profile. It might be a good idea to have a doctor on the mission should we encounter injured.

((Understood, I'll edit my last post then.))

U.S.S. Serenity, Transporter Room Two

Kiyraesyn nodded to her team and motioned for them to each choose a place on the transporter pad. They were to set their phasers on stun and at the ready until further notice. When she heard confirmation of readiness from everyone, she gave the order to transport over to the station. "Energize."

Eridani-43, Main Power Hub

As each officer materialized inside the Main Power Hub, Kiyraesyn ordered Dicen and Rogers to stay put while she and Ensign Souray would clear the area of any obvious signs of danger. The two cautiously made their way about the Hub, phasers still at the ready in case of hostile attack. Kiyrae was well aware of the element of surprise, as she herself had been placed in many situations where it was not to her advantage. She moved stealthily and quickly, her eyes darting in all directions, searching for any and all hints of danger that might be lurking in the midst of the thick, grayish cloud of smoke that had enveloped the entire room. She coughed as quietly as she could, stepping over disembowled relays and charred conduits as she went. She could hear Souray's steady breathing beside her as he too managed to feel his way around. There were moments of total and suspenseful silence.

Finally, when DeRhys was satisfied that the perimeter was secure to begin their investigation, she sent Souray back to tell the others, and holstered her phaser to trade it in for a tricorder. This time, she was in search of the station's Main Computer. There was an eerie silence that seemed to linger over her as she made her way through a dimly lit corridor, scanning the area with the tricorder. Soon, she picked up the reading she had been waiting for, the composite from which all Federation-crafted computer cores are synthicated. The others, she had instructed, were to find a way to clear the smoke and gas from the room while she attempted to restore power to the station from the Main Computer.

The Lieutenant found herself inside a vast, dark room. She whipped out her personal light emission unit (flashlight) and swept it over until its beam zeroed in on the Main Computer Core. With a smile of gratitude, she approached the Core and knelt to pry open the panel that would give her access to the LCARS database, as well as the Shipwide System Controls. It took quite a while to accomplish, but Kiyraesyn was most probably Starfleet's quickest and most efficient Engineer. Her nimble fingers flew over the console as she worked almost effortlessly. One by one, the lights throughout the Hub flickered on and she could hear the Station's main systems activate. A faint hum could be heard as well, a good sign. This meant that all the Stations secondary and back-up functions had returned to online status. She wiped the beads of sweat from her brow and tapped her commbadge, satisfied with the fruits of her labor.

"Lieutenant DeRhys to Commander du Sema, all secondary and emergency back-up systems are online. I'm still working on primaries, but back-ups are all I can give you at the moment. I'll let you know when Main Power has been fully restored.

"No, Lieutenant Tigan can remain here," said Walker. "You may leave when ready, Commander."

The Vulcan nodded and turned, making his way for the turbolift. He stated the deck number of the transporter room and it shot up towards it.
Once it halted he exited and headed for Transporter Room One, where, upon arriving, he met up with Shorn and the two other security officers, both human.
All they had to do was wait for the CMO and her assistant to arrive, and then they would be off.

Walker instructed Hardy, "Keep us within transporter range of the station, but stay on alert. I don't want any surprises." He shot a glance to Tigan and said, "Continue investigating the station, but keep an eye out on the perimeter of the station."

USS Serenity, Transporter Room #1

Marisa rushed into Transporter Room #1, a young Bajoran woman trailing behind her. She stopped before the Vulcan Commander, hunched over, panting. She was out of breath. She had ran half the way to the Transporter Room. She didn't want to keep the First Officer...or the station, waiting.

"I...uh...I am sorry that I am late..." Marisa muttered, wiping some sweat from her brow. She gestured to her assistant with her elbow. "This is my Medical Assistant, Anara." Marisa introduced the young Bajoran woman to the Vulcan. Anara nodded, bowing her head, slightly, to the Vulcan.

"A pleasure to meet you, Commander." Anara said, softly. The young Bajorans voice was sweet and gentle, just like her face. Marisa nodded to her medical assistant, with a smile. Marisa liked the young Bajoran. She was a very capable woman. Marisa had always trusted her. Marisa and Anara had worked together for the last three years and come to know each other well. Now, they were the best of friends.

"Well? Are we going or not?" Marisa asked, clapping her hands together, happily.

Outpost 43-Eridani, Control Room

Jon slowly wakes up and look's around. Jon had the feeling that he was lying there for many days. When he tries to stand up, he sees a man lying next to him. He bows to the man and notice it's Brian, a Engineer who joined the Team several days ago. A big hole is in Brian's head and Jon notice that Brian is dead. Jon stands up, and tries to remember what happened, but his head was too foggy. He only remembered the name of the members of 'The Techno Team'. As a member of 'The Techno Team' Jon, nicknamed the 'Ironfist', walked slowly to the control conduit. He tried to see if he could activate the system, but nothing was responding. He saw the PADD Dr. Trax used for his researches. He picked it up. A crack in the monitor, showed it was broken. If Brian was still alive.. came into his mind. He puts it in his pocket, who was covered with Dust.

((Tuvok8917 is a 'survivor' of what happened on the station, and is in the room to which RM's team is beaming.))

While waiting for the away team's first report, Captain Walker turned to another PADD. It had more data on it regarding Outpost 43-Eridani--sensitive information, although not exactly classified.

"Well? Are we going or not?" Marisa asked, clapping her hands together, happily.
The Vulcan looked at the two medical officers as they entered the transporter room. "Of course we are, Doctor," Volch answered. "We were simply waiting for you."
He then walked up to the transporter pad. Once the entire team was on the pad he stated, "Energize."
In no time at all the away team, who had dematerialized from the ship, rematerialized on the station, inside their designated room.
He looked around, examining the situation and surroundings and pulling out his tricorder as the ship's Chief Engineer chimed in, stating, "Lieutenant DeRhys to Commander du Sema, all secondary and emergency back-up systems are online. I'm still working on primaries, but back-ups are all I can give you at the moment. I'll let you know when Main Power has been fully restored."
He tapped his commbadge in response, stating, "Aknowledged."
Suddenly he noticed a human Starfleet officer and quickly treaded over to him.
"Greetings. I am Commander Volch du Sema, First Ofifcer of the USS Serenity," the Vulcan stated. "Could you tell me what has transpired here?"

((OCC: I'm not from Starfleet, i'm just working on the station. As soon as Hitchhiker posts the bios, you will understand. ))

When Jon heard a voice from behind him, he quickly turned around. A few Starfleet officers where standing there, probally just materialized. A Vulcan man, who seemed to be the leader, asked him what happened.

"My.. my name is Jon, also known as 'The Ironfist'. I'm a member of 'The Techno Team', a group of Science specialists, who works for Starfleet." Jon slowly said. "I don't remember what happened... it seems i have been asleep for several weeks, maybe months..."

Jon turned around and sighs. A image of a sad Dr. Trax showed in his mind. He could even hear Dr. Trax saying that Starfleet stopped project Starfire.

"Why are you here..?" Jon asked, turning to the Vulcan again. "I do not aquire help from Starfleet. Infact, i am just a peasant. A counsellor you may say."

Outpost 43-Eridani, Main Engineering Hub

Time passed rather quickly as Kiyraesyn continued to work on restoring the station's power. She pulled out some various scanning and analyzing instruments and began running an extensive diagnostic on the system. It took quite a while for her to isolate the source of the outage, but she was successful in the end. Her instruments told her that the only way to get the station back up and fully running was to crawl into the mainframe and physically replace the main power relays. This wouldn't normally bother the Chief Engineer, if it weren't the fact that she would probably be taking a plasma torch with her in order to cut the damaged relays out. It was actually quite a dangerous task, to say the least. She stood and walked over to a console, called up for a copy of the layout of the mainframe, and tried to figure out a way for someone to crawl into the tubes with her in case anything happened to her. She was still slightly paranoid about the presence of some hostile force within the station, and she wasn't willing to risk lives. "Souray, you'll be coming with me into the station's mainframe, I found a way to get everything back up and running again, but it's going to be tricky. Everyone else is to stay here and confirm that power has been restored at peak efficiency. Comm channels open at all times, no excuses. Understood?"

"Understood," came the unanimous reply.

Outpost 43-Eridani, Station Mainframe

DeRhys and Souray made their way down a ladder, into a narrow shaft that led them deeper into the core of the station. It took several minutes for them to reach the station's power mainframe, but as soon as they did, time seemed to fly. Kiyraesyn looked back to check on Ensign Souray every now and then, still feeling that something was not right. When she spotted the relay panel, she saw that it had been charred and was now fused into the bulkhead. Sabotage, she thought to herself as she passed a tricorder over the panel, shaking her in head in disbelief. Both the burn patterns and her readings screamed weaponsfire. Someone had shot the panel at just the right weapon setting to seal it over the relay controls. "Damn!" She said aloud, unaware that Souray had heard her as he came up beside her to take a look.

Upon viewing the panel in all of its blackenedness, he too swore, under his breath of course. DeRhys shot him a stunned look and then smiled grimly in agreement. She tapped her badge, "DeRhys to Commander du Sema, we have a problem."

He faced towards the captain sititng in his chair on the bridge and said "Captain...could i see you please" He head jerked towards his ready room and his eyes widened trying to gesture him into the ready room.

Tigan's request caught Walker off guard. Not that it was unusual, but he just was not expecting it. "Of course, Lieutenant," said Walker. "Lieutenant Hardy, you have the conn."

He got up and walked toward the ready room, entering it and waiting for Tigan to follow.

He followed him in quickly and didnt bother with any pleasantrys. "Sir, i've finished my analysis. Its not good. Not good at all. As i said the EMP was a weapon directed at the station. Not many species are knowny by starfleet to have EMP weapons and starfleet hasnt even come close to developing this type of offensive weapon. Now we know that all it really does is render a ship or station without power and essentially disabled. Its the fact that starfleet has so little experience with this. This leads to my next anlysis.....I picked up a faint warp signature in this area. The timing is consitent with the insident on the station. Just one problem. The warp signature ended here. That ship never left." He paused for a moment to let the captain to take it all in, he guessed the captain would even more shocked than he was.

"I see," said Walker, drawing it out as he considered the implications. "So it's somewhere in the system. I'm assuming that you don't know exactly where, that it's hiding, otherwise you would have said so.

"We'll stay at yellow alert. Meanwhile, I want you to work on a defense against this electromagnetic pulse. I want to be prepared."

"Aye sir.", "My best guess is its hiding in orbit behind a planet" Verad then smiled slightly as he put his hand behind his back. He then walked out of the ready room and entered the turbo lift at the back of the bridge. He headed for the science lab.

The Executive Officer, however, was interrupted by a chime-in from the Chief Engineer, DeRhys, via the commbadge. "DeRhys to Commander du Sema, she stated. We have a problem."
Volch replied smoothly to the statement, saying, simply, coolly, Explain in that oh-so Vulcan manner.

Outpost 43-Eridani, Station Mainframe

Kiyraesyn sighed as she explained to the Commander. "Sir, it appears that someone took it upon themselves to seal the Mainframe Control Panel to the rear bulkhead with some sort of disruptor. My readings do not indicate that the weapon used was Starfleet in origin, or even Federation at all. Nevertheless, the station was sabotaged." She held her breath, waiting for the XO's response and allowing the word to cling to the air for a moment or two.

Jon heard the strange voice coming trough the combadge.

"Sabotaged..." He wispered. His hand grabbed the damaged PADD out of his pocket. "This is the PADD of Dr. Trax. I'm not sure if there some usefull information on it, since it's broken." He pushed the PADD in the hands of the Vulcan.

Volch took and examined the device given to him by Jon. It was definitely damaged, but upon examination the Vulcan determined that "it is repairable," as he said.
He tapped his commbadge to give the Captain his report.
"Du Sema to the Captain," he stated into the comm system. "Sir, the station's emergency power systems are online. We have also encountered a civlian tech officer, if you will, on board the station. He claims to have been asleep for an unknown allotment of time. Lieutenant DeRhys has also reported that the station was sabotaged in some manner."
He paused for a brief second, and then continued. "The tech officer, 'Jon', has presented me with a PADD from a Doctor Trax. It is highly damaged, but I do believe it is repairable."

-USS Serenity, Bridge-

Captain Walker sat up a little more straight with this news. His expression become more pensive as he thought about this. Sabotage. That was not good news.

"I see, Commander. Does 'Jon' have a last name, and is he injured? If not, please try and get as much information from him as possible, and try to access the station's computer if it's online. We need to find out what happened. Oh, and perhaps determine where everyone else has gone. have you detected more life signs?"

-Outpost 43-Eridani, Station Mainframe-

The inactive console in front of DeRhys suddenly lit up, displaying Error 140: Unknown network protocol. This flashed a few times before the console went blank again. Then, System restart in progress appeared.

The mainframe came to life with a small hum as every console blinked with activity and readouts. Main power was still offline, but the station computer appeared to have recovered from whatever had disabled it.

-43-Eridani System, Asteroid Belt-

Radiation signatures mixed with cosmic background noise to produce an indistinct signal. Something was out there, though. It could see the Serenity, but the Serenity could not see it. It was waiting, waiting for its weapon to be charged again so that it could disable the meddling starship that had arrived too soon for a clean getaway.

~Outpost 43-Eridani, some random Corridor/Room~

Griffin went down the corridor slowly looking around. It was dark aside from his beacon, and a couple emergancy lights, but mostly his hand beacon. He sweapt the corridor in a typical searching pattern. He entered a room that felt hot, really hot. He noticed some weird shapes in the darkness. He looked to the area and... "Good god!!!" The beacon fell from his hand and Griffin stumbled backwards, almost falling to the floor. he brought hsi hand to his communicator. "Griffin to Serenity! I just found several bodies, and thier not in a pleasent sight. It's safe to say these people suffered..."

Griffin nodded as if the Captain could see it. "A---Aye sir..." Griffin closed the comline and was about to call his Supperior, the first officer when he heard a noise. His head snaped to the right, the location of the sound. And deeper into the dark corridor. He reached down for the light beacon. I should speak to someone at command about putting the light beacons on the Phaser Rifle, or maybe a wrist mount somehow... Griffin squinted as he aimed the light down the hall. Something was errily wrong here. He took a step down the hall and stoped. He looked behind him momentarily then back to the direction of the noise he heard. His mind was screaming at him to call du Sema. He didn't yet though and continued to look down the hall. What if what ever killed those people is down there? I couldn't very well go down there alone could I? I also couldn't risk the lives of my supperiors...right? Griffin took another step down the hall...

Sitting in Science Lab 3, Verad was stumped on a way to solve this EMP problem. He just couldnt think of a way to defend against it. He had briefly searched through some federation science logs in the database but he didnt find much. He decided to look at a later time as most of the logs were boring him half to sleep.

He sighed and lay his head down on the table infront of him, both his arms layed out infront of him. He lay their like that in silence trying to focus his mind...
