Hey everyone. I decided to make a space for new poems I'm currently coming up with. If you have any comments please don't hold back. You may also voice your opinions as well.

The upcoming one is of one I've just written. Really, it was used as a practice one, but hopefully through the course of my writings my ability will improve. Remember... my poems will continue to be posted on this thread.

Amazon Dreams
By: Andrew J. Bullock

We wish upon stars
For destined desires
And just when we get our hopes up
We fall in great fires

The witch with pigeons
The actor with billions
Sick twisted lies
Hurt us a zillion

Racists with power
Gunners go louder
Thugs with knifes
Lookin’ for lives

Rivers go crimson
Now they glisten
Violence was taught
And everyone fought

The musical of life
Seems like a fright
When really this night
Is just before the flight

Is killing all we understand?
Is pain something we know how to man?
A ten-year-old child
Just died in my hands

“Give me your money,” he says
And takes a knife in his hands
I offered my watch
But wanted my life instead

I now soar through the air
Watching all who really care
My Amazon dream
Is now my crime scene.

I'm seriously loving that verse

Again, another practice one.

Spark
Andrew J. Bullock

"I look to the stars
Wishing for you to call
I miss you everyday
And I love you for your traits

A pain in my chest
A quicken in my blood
This is what happens
When I think of you

Is this a crush?
Is this a love?
I want you with me
Desperation follows, you see

I pick up the phone
And dial your number
But quickly hang up
And fall in a slumber

I want you
But I can’t have you
I need you
But you don’t need me

Your personality is golden
Your mind is solid
A unique blend
All thanks to the molding

It feels like you’re so far away
When really you’re just next door
God, show me what I must do
To make this love so pure

I continue looking out the window
Wishing upon a star
But as soon as I was ready to give up
I saw a flare shooting past Mars

Here we are sitting together
And I finish reading your letter
You were afraid of what I’d say
So I kissed you, as it may

I’ve never seen a greater complexion
Or a brighter spark of a flame
Together we walked off the sand
With my hand placed in yours

Missing You
Andrew J. Bullock

We sit up talking late at nights
We made each other laugh

But I made a mistake
This cost us everything

You may not know it
But I still blame myself

And on some days
It even hurts

We became great friends
But I let it go to far

Deep down inside
I’m missing you terribly

You wrote good stories
So I came to you for advice

And with your help
I’ve even bettered myself

You have your own life now
I understand that

But I wonder what it’d be like
To still be apart of it

I’m missing the long talks
I’m missing the long walks

I’m missing the mystery
You were so sisterly

I still believe He sent you my way
But I’ve let you go

I feel like I’ve failed you
I wish things were normal

I’m really missing you…
