Lets talk about the funniest guy in film.

What are your favorite lines from his movies?

My favorite line is "Somebody stop me!" for his character as The Mask, because I think that completely fills out his personality and lifestyle..."Somebody try and stop him from making more and more movies!"

on the film Dumb & Dumber

Harry: What's her last name?
Lloyd: You know, I don't really recall. Uh, it starts with "S". Let's see. Swammi? Slippy? Slappy? Swenson? Swanson?
Harry: Maybe it's on the briefcase.
Lloyd: Oh, yeah!
[He reads the manufacturer's name, which is Samsonite]
Lloyd: Here it is! "Samsonite"! I was way off! I knew it started with an "S" though.

"God i'm good! Can you feel that,do you feel that huh? Captain composte?"

"Do i have something in my teeth?"

"and you must be the monopoly guy!"

"earthquake test!"

"Take care now, bye bye then."

"Like a glove!"

Oh. My. God.
I loooooooooooooooove him! I love all him movies, he's great. I just love the line he uses in the Truman Show. He uses it in the film, and at the very end;
"In case I don't see ya: Goodafternoon, goodevening and goodnight!"
Omg, great:D.

I also love Ace Ventura, great movies. He's so weird in those movies, I love that.
I believe in 'When Nature Calls', he's in a monastery, and when he's pulled out cuz of a job, there's this big stairs they have to go down. He has like a spiral-thingy, and flips it down the stairs. When it's almost down, it stoppes. He's like; "Awwww can I do it againnn??"
Sooo funny.

And I love him in Liar Liar, so great when he tries to say things that are lies, and he can't say them.
Oh, and when he's in court, and he gets a revelation on how to win the case for his client, he dances around and sais: "Pre-nop-tual-a-gree-ment"

I really don't like most of his movies, he's obnoxious and it's really just annoying. The only movie I really like (aka: can stand) by him is The Truman Show.

I'll be polite and say that I do not like his films. It might be better if he actually played a different character in one of them, instead of the blethering idiot that always comes across.

Same face... same pantomime.

My mother says that too, even though she likes Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar, The Truman show and Bruce almighty.

I think he was best in Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, as it showed he could play a sensitive character, not just crazy ones. But I liked Bruce Almighty as well.

That's why I like him in ESOTSM

He also does "The Majectic" and "Man on the Moon" very well. Not a blethering idiot at all. He's a good actor. his deep understanding of good humor is very showable in Man On The Moon, great acting there.

what is ESOTSM?

I really liked "Liar, Liar." That was a funny movie. Had some of the best lines ever. I still need to get it on DVD. I haven't seen it in a while. "Fun with Dick & Jane" was a funny movie too. I've been very tight with money right now, so I could kind of understand their situation in that movie.

But anyway, lines from Liar, Liar:

"Here she comes to wreck the daaaayyyy!!!"

Man in bathroom-"What are you doing?"
Jim-"I'm kicking my ass, do ya mind?!"

Woman in bed-"Was it good for you?"
Jim-*smiling* "I've had better."

Truman Show is the movie where he overacts the least in my opinion, so he is at least tolerable on Truman show.

he doesn't "Overact" it comedy, its a very blatant comedy but itsjust that he is so good at it.

Nothing like Leslie Nielson they compare him too often. Leslie Nielson uses the same blatant comedy but mixes it with very lame jokes and Parody. Jim Carrey doesn't do that.

I mean, sure there are lame movies(liek the grinch and the Cable guy which i hated) but unlike Leslie Nielson some of his movies are good humor(like Bruce almighty and the Truman Show) and some of them get the best out of his ability to imitate people and understand comedy(like in Man on the moon and Me Myself and Irene)

i guess you just have to learn to like the movies where he does the thing he does best, over-exceggerate(sp?) like in Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, The Mask and Dumb and Dumber
