Quote:
15% of us tally the loot in our wallet at least once a day, and 10% never do.

72% of "normal people" store bills in rigid order, with smaller currency leading up to higher denominations.

When the cashier gives us a penny and nothing more in change, just half of shoppers accept it.

35% of survey respondents say they wouldn't spend the time and energy to get a refund for anything less than a dollar.

26% of people jangle the change in their coat pockets.

We tip less at restaurants on rainy days and more when it's sunny, when the bill comes on a tray, and when we're eating alone. The tip also improves when waitresses draw a smiley face on the bill. When waiters do it, we're less generous.

If the fate of the penny is left to a coin toss, heed this final finding from "Are You Normal About Money?": People are three times more likely to call "heads" than "tails."

I read it, now I'm sharing it,

I read somewhere that 26% or something of British people throw currency under 10p in the bin! I save it all, even picking up pennies I find in the steet!!

We keep our small change in an old baby bottle (Sammie doesn't have them anymore) and then every Christmas whatever's in there we give to the Firemen when they come round with Father Christmas on the fire engine. They give us sweets in return, and Sammie loves it

If I have money, I check how much I have about twice a week, or if I'm working out what I need to buy. Normally my purse is empty (except I no longer have a purse, as I lost it, with money in ).

I never check to see how much money I have in my wallet. That's probably bad in practice, but whatever. And yeah, I usually don't pick up anything off the ground smaller than a quarter.

I don't look in my wallet, either, Since I never have cash in there. (I always use my debit/credit card).

I have two wallets. One never leaves my house, it has my emergency $1000 cash supply. The other is my regular one. I once walked out of the house with the emergency wallet!!!

I always accept the change of a penny. But if its not given then i don't say anything.

I usually have some money in my wallet, but i never carry it with me. On the moment i have 7 euro's but i usually have 15 euro's or something.

Well I always get paid by cash everyweek and don't have enough time to go to the bank enough so i'm often carrying hundreds in my wallet, sometimes upward of a thousand or more. But it works good for weekends though because I always have cash for alcohol

I don't tally the money in my wallet, but I do regulary count the money in my school blazer pocket. I count it about three times a day. It's a security thing.
