The movie has some similarities to the Matrix, but the idea is really from the movie Equilibrium. The person who made Equilibrium also made this movie Ultraviolet. The movie is different from that Matrix that it is about vampire-like disease and not about machines controlling the world. The movie is actioned pack and should be a very good movie. Since we all should love Milla Jovovich acting ability I would suggest this movie to anyone who likes these kinds of action films. This movie is a 4 Star film.

Set in the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have emerged who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease (Hemophagia)...

Another overused story line.

I haven't been too impressed with vampire movies over the last decade or so. I think the genre (if you can call it a genre) needs reinventing soon. Saying that, Mila Jovovich is a good reason to see the movie.

I just watched the movie and it was awesome. There was tons and tons of action. Milla Jovovich stunts and acrobatic moves were amazing. Thats about all I can say without giving away spoilers.

I went to go see this a few hours ago. It really wasn't good at all. The storyline wasn't interesting (overused, once again), and the acting was pretty terrible. I guess if you're idea of a good movie is simply guns and violence, it would really good. Otherwise...

LOL. The first user comment on IMDB is, "worse than Speed 2."

Yeah I did hear that it was pretty cheesy and stupid. I mean, Milla Jovavich is cool but the movie just looked bad.
