This is not my first post, I always join a new forum and get right into the conversation without thought to introducing myself. Thought I would take a pause to do so.
I am the wife of a diehard trekkie dude. When we first met, I didn't even have cable (i'm a country bumpkin) and i didn't know or care anything about startrek.
So when my husband watched startrek, I got interested. He would be watching Voyager, and I'm like "Why does that lady (seven) have that thing over her eye?"
"Cause she's borg"
"Bore?"
"NO! BorG!"
"What's that?"
Followed by his careful and patient explanation of borg-dom.
He would put his tapes/dvd's of startrek on pause to explain to me each and every character I was confused about and what they were all about.
He was very excited about my Startrek interest and subsequently strived to make me his perfect Trekkie Wife.
So it is 5 years into my marriage with my Trekkie dude, and now I am just as experienced in Trek-dom as he is. Recently I was in the loungroom at my job, and startrek was on TV in there, and I got into a conversation with another gentleman employee about startrek. I got into the semantics of how that Trill on Startrek Next Generation was put into Riker's body to keep it alive, and how that trill was in love with Crusher, and how it being in Riker's body caused issues with Deanna Troi, etc etc etc, revealing the true extent of my "trekkiness", and that gentleman, who I had never met before that day was astonished. He was like, "MY GOD! I've met my match! Are you married?" I did not know he was a trekkie, too. And I had to explain to him that the only reason I'm know so much about it is because of my husband. He was greatly disappointed. That's day when I realized the extent of my "Trekkiness", for everyone else in the lounge room was looking at me like I was crazy, and didn't have a life.
SO ANYHOW!
My husband just recently ordered and received all 7 seasons of Voyager, and I stumbled across this website while searching for information as to what episode it was that Icheb and the borg children came aboard Voyager. I liked this forum, so here I am!
So anyhow, for some odd reason, Seven of Nine has always been my favorite. Liberated borgs always intrigue me. I like "Hue", too.
I also like Janeway, the Doctor, Odo, and Warf, and Data.
OH!
And "Q" cracks me up!

Got something in common with me... I am a trekkie wife too. I was not interested in Star Trek until I met my husband. Actually he finally got me interested in it like a few years after we was married. i got interested in it back in 97.

Hello, pat!
Hmm....What other shows do I like?
Well, I'm a big kid at heart. I like cartoons and comedy shows. (Only good sitcoms, not stupid ones)
My husband is the big science fiction nut.
He loves movies having anything to do with science fiction. And he is also a big fan of CSI.
