PostFri Feb 17, 2006 2:08 am    Passion

Everyone has a passion. For some it's a sport. For others its some specific issue or alternate item they care much about.
For me, while I like business and all and want to go into--and plan on going into--it, politics is my passion.
I don't know why, but for some reason I get really passionate about politics and political issues, as is often apparent on this site. I would say politics is my passion, and something that I want to get involved in after business (and before/during, although not directly involved myself [running]).

So, I ask you: what's your passion? Politics(/debate) is mine. What's yours?

I can't answer the question posed by RM. This is a family forum after all.

Seriously, I have a passion for a lot of things. I enjoy as much as I can in life. I like to try new things too.

1.) Comic books. I've read them for years, they're great to immerse yourself in. You can lose yourself in them. You can lose yourself in a world where Superman flies around the globe battling evil, or The Hulk battles monsters from outer space, or Dr. Strange travels to magical dimensions to battle evil sorcerers. I love comic books, particularly those published by DC and Marvel.

2.) Movies. We all love movies, right? I like movies, particularly older movies (say, 1930s to 1980s). You see, before there was CGI, movies were required to have that little something called a plot.

3.) Socializing. I love to go out a lot, whether it be for a meal with friends from work, a night at a bowling alley, or just a few drinks in the local pub. I think it's important to value friendship and socialize when you can. I just don't think anything can beat going for a meal with friends, or catching a movie with friends.

4.) The fairer sex. Especially those who love foot massages.

For me?

1) Flight and aviation. I took ground school last year and haven't gotten my head out of the clouds yet.

2) Computers. Don't get me started in PC (Windows v. Linus) v. Mac, or FF v. IE, XHTML v. HTML v. CSS. You'll regret it

3. Fashion. I'm not anything like "OMG! That dress, is like, so cute!" or having to have the most popular "in" clothing. But I have had a thing for evening wear and stuff since I was little. For dress ups my sister and I would go to the local fabric store and raid teh $2/yard table. A yards of fabric were our dress ups. And I still like to go to the local department stores and just try on their evening wear

4. Art. I love to draw. It calms me down. Pencil, charcoal, chalk, oil pastel. Those are my favorite mediums. I love to draw people, their faces just facinate me.

5. Politics. Sometime, when I'm in the mood. Right now I'm mostly into learning more about it so that I can for more structured opinions, and on most issues I've yet to form a rock solit opinion. And some days I'm just too tired to process it

I'm a very passionate person, very wild. I run so much on my hormones and instincts but my mean mum put me on these pills so I get less hormonal. It sucks. I don't feel stuff any more.

My passion is creation. I love to create, whether it be through artwork, sewing, knitting or creative writing, I just love creating.
I love my imagination. I am completely passionate about expressing myself as much as possible in as many ways as possible.

Mmmn...passion. Education, more than anything, is a huge passion of mine. Education is the most important issue to me as a person, and as I see it, the most important element to society. Other than that, I have a great love of music and dance, as well as science. My somewhat newer passion is philosophy in all forms... especially the philosophical side of story telling.

Behaviour.

Really, I'm so fascinated by it. Not only from humans, but also monkeys, like chimps.. They're so much like us!
I analyze almost everything I come across, and it's even more now I'm learning to be a social worker. It's so much fun, I love doing it.
Why someone's behaving like he/she is, where it comes from, where it gets him/her, etc... Yup, analyzing is cool!
