If you could sit down and have a talk with anyone in history who would it be and why?

Moses. I'd like to hear more detailed accounts of his exploits, and ask him a few questions on various subjects.

Great topic, by the way.

I thought it would be a topic that would get everyone thinking, ... I'm still thinking of mine though ...

I came up with mine quickly, didn't I? It was an easy choice, I just think it'd be interesting to talk to Moses and hear detailed accounts of things we can only read about in the Bible.

Oh, gosh. Who specifically would be difficult, 'cause I have a few.
Jesus, no doubt. Moses is good, as you suggested, Superman.
Reagan and Lincoln--great leaders. Them also.
Can't really think of anyone else right now...

Anyone? Ameliea Earhart would be one for sure. I love flight, and she's perhaps the best person to talk to about women in aviation. And if I had any say as to where I was talking to her, I'd want to be sitting next to her in the cockpit, at the other set of controls, flying over something really beautiful. Like a city at night or the Grand Canyon.

Probably Jesus to see what kind of junk Paul and certain churches did to the bible. Aaaaand... hmn. Probably Howard Hughes, too. He really intrigues me. And Hitler. Just because...he's Hitler. I'd like to talk to him and see what a man like that is really like... (Sure, I want to scare myself!)

Nostradomus.

I've found his works fascinating since I was very young, and would like to get a greater insight into the things he's seen.

But Hitler's exactly the kind of guy you want to hang out with! Brilliant, murderous, crazy military genius... THAT'S the kind of guy I want to have tea with. (He might have a little trouble with the tea, since he'll be in the complementary straight jacket)

Woodrow Wilson. He seems like someone that you could have long nice intelligent conversations with. We have learned some about him and history and I think he's definately one of our best presidents.

Gene Rodenberry, so I could "look into the mind" of Star Trek's creative genius and the fine details about it.

I'd choose someone from my own country, like:

Domela-Nieuwenhuis (1846-1919) He made sure that women and man had the same rights and made sure that everyone had the right to vote.

Aletta Jacobs. (1854-1929) First woman to study at a university in Holland! She became a doctor and was a feminist.

Thorbecke. (1798-1872) He founded the constitution of Holland, and made sure that the people had a say in what should happen to the country, not just the king. Plus he was responsible for letting Aletta Jacobs study at a university!

I mean no offense by this, but:

If you were to sit down with Jesus for a chat, it would only go two ways.
If you were saved, he wouldn't have much more to say than "Bless you, my child."
If you weren't, well.... we already know pretty much what He would say, don't we.

Creepy, as soon as I saw the question, I first thought of my ex-boyfriend, and then of Hitler. I suppose that puts them in the same place in my mind.

I would like to talk to Dante. All he ever does is faint in Dante's Inferno. Wuss.

As Christians believe that he loves everyone, if you weren't saved, surely he would still say, "Bless you my child."...?

I guess I would like to talk to one of my own ancestors. Perhaps the mother of my mother's grandmother (great granmother's mother) because after the battle of the Somme when the Manchester regiment were wiped up in WW1, she was the only woman in the area who wasn't a widow, and my great grandmother was the only girl in her class with a father.
