I'm sure it won't be as good as Kai's film about Margaret Thatcher

Interesting. I like Thatcher and think she was the best British PM, at least from my American conservative Republican anti-communist pro-Reagan position

She did do a lot of good as PM, but she's only remembered for the mistakes she made. She did want people to be more independent and more responsible with their lives. I don't agree with everything she did, but she was one of our best PM's.

She wasn't perfect. In particular, I don't think she did much for the UK's manufacturing base. I'd have her back in a second, though. Politicians years ago were far superior to today's image obsessed bunch and their spin doctors.

Everyone has they're faults. I especially like her in terms of foreign policy. She was a strong leader there, and a good ally. The first woman Prime Minister of the UK, was she not?
And lol. Don't have to worry too much about the manufacturing in the UK (or any other MDC [More Developed Country] for that matter) anymore, as more and more MDCs are becoming less and less reliant on manufacturing within their countries...

She was the first female Prime Minister, yes.
And she was a strong leader, and did have a tough foreign policy. You know, I truly believe that if she had been PM during the first Gulf War, and Reagan had still been US President, then they'd have finished off Hussein back in '91. Just a thought.

Perhaps...Gosh, Reagan. I like Bush, but I wish we had him here right now...Bush is the next best thing, though.
Reagan and Thatcher were like Bush and Blair, at least in some cases (i.e. Communism/Iraq).
And scratch that. Churchill, IMO, is the best, followed by Thatcher.

Yet Blair shouldn't be anything like Thatcher, but he is. He's gone too far, but that's another story.
Thatcher was ok, as a right wing conservative poor-hater can be

That'll make a great topic.
Going for a shower right now, but keep up the good points. Not sure if I agree that Thatcher hated the poor, I just think she wanted people to be a bit more independent. Too many people in the UK want money, but don't want to work for it, and there are far too many on benefits when they shouldn't be. A subject for another time, perhaps.
