This is for discusion on possible NX-Class names had we seen the class coninue. Mind you it takes about 3 years to make one (according to what we saw in ent for Columbia to be made) so, this could change if they made them faster, or had more then one ship yard working on them.
Known:
Enterprise NX-01
Columbia NX-02
Speculation:
Columbia, was (according to back stage scources) named after the space shuttle columbia. Now, one can say that perhaps the NX class is being named after the Space Shuttles. (Enterprise OV-101, Columbia OV-102) in that case it could be....
Discovery NX-03 (OV-103)
Atlantis NX-04 (OV-104)
Endeavour NX-05 (OV-105)
As for the others, Challanger was remade so it can be used pathfinder never was but still..
Pathfinder (OV-098)
Challenger (OV-099)
Now, the other ships could be NX-06/NX-07 OR NX-98/NX-99

basicly it means challanger and Pathfinder wernt in the series, they were study models. Enterprise was to be refited, but it was cheaper to refit challanger. with that said, they could keep the 98/99 numbers, or renumber them to 06/07. what does anyone eles think? (personaly, save for sentimental reasons, I like renaming to 06/07)
Intersting Trivia:
After remaking Challanger, there was enough parts for a new shuttle. Work was started on a "OV-106" but it was ultimatly canclled.

Well after being part of the Atlantis RPG. I think it would be cool to have that one as the next one. All of those names are so great though.

Yeah, that is in the list to, as the same as HitchHiker named it NX-04 (Shuttle was OV-104) Good idea though

No, only the NX-01 and NX-02 are Canon. Everything eles is speculation, but its a popular speculation. I have read this one several times before, just not in so much detail.

Well we know for a fact that there will be at least 4 NX Class ships all together so i guess its safe to say they would be:
Enterprise NX-01
Columbia NX-02
Discovery NX-03
Atlantis NX-04

In which episode are the other two mentioned? (NX-03 and NX-04) I would be interested in the quote and episode.

They werent mentioned per se, there was an episode in the first season about three more NX ships on the drawing board. The names for NX-03 and NX-04 are speculation, but it's accepted due to the naming and numbering used for the first to NX ships

Fair enough. It can accepted that since they were on the drawing board, it would be a safe assumption that NX-03 and NX-04 would have eventually been completed. We just don't have names for them.
