I do, but I suck. i've never gotten a deer, it seems a lot easyer to hit them while driving. of course the fact that I like to shoot at random moving things probley dosent help...

Er...nope. Doesn't really appeal to me. I'll eat meat, but the idea of killing it myself makes me a little queasy...

thats why its so fun, reaching inside a dead animal past your elbows and pulling out what used to be their insides, the trick is to not throw up inside of the animal but next to it so you have less to clean out

I'm pretty sure I want to. Though I wouldn't be the one gutting it, that's for sure. Dad said if I actually had the nerve to shoot it, he'd take care of it,
I do like to shoot though, as you well know.

There is nothing to hunt in my new state of Texas. All the animals here are roadkill.....
As for the topic, I'm not too big on hunting, but I don't care if other people do.

I use to go bird hunting with Charlie's Granddad in SC when I was 17 years old. That was years ago. I went deer hunting with Charlie's brother not too long ago. I am a bad shot. I missed the first time and got the another deer the second shot I fired.

Nope. Was against foxhunting (there are more humane ways to kill them) but am not against it for food. The sight of a gun makes me panic, so there's no way I'm handling one!

I'm into guns but not into the act of killing animal. I like the technical stuff of guns and the power. I'm the guy in school that would experiment with different chemicals and try to find the most destructive combinations, not the guy who would take great intrest in the rat dissecting and studying.

a friend of mine is getting instructions on how to make bombs out of cow crap, I guess they used to make them to take down tree's back in the day.
blowing stuff up is too much fun

thats why its so fun, reaching inside a dead animal past your elbows and pulling out what used to be their insides, the trick is to not throw up inside of the animal but next to it so you have less to clean out |
Most people string up the critter and let the stuff fall out. No throwing up required.

I'm an avid hunter of whitetail deer and grouse. I support nearly all rifle/shotgun hunting, but I have second thoughts about bowhunting. Usually, a good shooter with a rifle can drop a deer before it knows it's been hit; but i've never seen a dead killed in its tracks by a bow, they usually run, punctured, for several hundred yards. Bow hunting should be left to the professionals, I just don't think all hunters are cut out for it.
Evicerating an animal isn't so bad, it's kinda warm on a cold northwoods November day. Basically, all you have to do is detatch the internal organs from the muscular body cavity, and then let it all roll out. Plus, if you're smart, you wear latex gloves during this process. (Not many places for a sanitary handwash in the woods.) I've eaten every animal I killed; especially grouse, I usually eat them the same day I shoot them. Tastiest bird you can eat!

its hard to hang a deer up in a tree by yourself, plus you can cut it open and lift up on it so most of it comes out on its own.

I want to try bow hunting, I have one but it needs a new string. I used to be a good shot with it but I probley cant hit anything now.
its legal to hunt with a cross bow in maine now too, I think i'm going to have to invest.

lol yea as a matter of fact...
i'd have had it fixed a long time ago but they charge some crazy price to string a bow, I think i'm going to buy a press so I can do it myself. first thing I do when I get a job is fix my 9mm. I cant wait, its so cheap to shoot its not funny

We've got a meat rack on our land, complete with pulleys, and adjustable roping. all you have to do is tie the rope around either the antlers or the neck, run the rope over the pulley, connect the other end of the rope to a 4-wheeler, pull it up, and tie it off.
