I have an idea.
The Borg and Dominion alliance and take on the Federation the borg viewing the Dominion as perfection agree to ally with the Dominion for the destruction of the Federation, Naturally this alliance is unstable but it is dangerious.

Naturally DS9 are the experts on the Founders so they would have to be involved in a reunion mission, Voyager being the experts have returned to the Alpha quadrant and after 2 years (The Romulans, Using Borg technology tried to create a new army the army escaped because they couldn't control it. The Borg implants take over the soldiers and the Borg are reborn. The borg flee into the Delta quadrant with the full knowledge of the old Borg, Including the location of 8 thousand unused ships)
Now since both of these crews are ok but nothing great they need a leader. Enter the Great John-Luc Picard to take command of this small taskforce whos job it is to stop this disaster before it begins.

This idea could be great, They will need to investigate Romulans and enter and battle their fleets so that they can figure out just how 'Borg like' this new borg are, They need to travel to the gamma quadrant to investigate how powerful the Dominion.

I take it you've never seen DS9. The Dominion would not ally with the Borg. They are now being led by Odo. He wouldn't join with the Borg, especially not to attack the Federation, who he grew to like.

I did watch DS9 and originally disliked it but I loved the Dominion. I know all about Odo however what is to stop him from being killed ? Or that the feelings of the other Founders overpowered his own making him want to take over the Alpha Quadrant ? (I don't honestly think that would happen but meh) Or that he got killed while heading to some distant world to help the population ? It is possible if Odo is the only key.
As for the Dominion they allied with the Cardassians and then the Breen so they have proved they use allies. If there are only a limited number of Borg as well they could plan to kill the Borg after they have taken the Alpha Quadrant.

I think the Borg would just assimilate the dominion. Or at least try to before they allied with them. Although, they prob couldn't assimilate the founders so they would assimilate the Jem'Hadar.

I couldn't see that happening since the Dominions Jem'Hader would just fly themselves into the Borg vessels rather than be assimilated.
After all they used those tactics several times against the Klingons and Federation.

I agree about the Borg trying to assimilate the Dominion. I also agree that they would fail.

I don't like the idea of killing off Odo simply as a plot device. He deserves more. You are right about the fact that maybe many of the Founders rejected his peaceful views. But they would not kill him. I could maybe stomach it if they exiled him, but not killed him.

The Dominion and Borg as bad guys has been beaten to death though...

Then again, the TOS movies used Klingon bad guys so many times...

Perhaps exile is better than death for Odo I suppose exile or he could come and warn the Federation that seems fitting for Odo.

I didn't know Odo was now leading the Founders. Ya, definitely exile before killing him. He's too big a character to just kill off as a plot device as Founder said.

The Borg wouldn't want to ally with the Dominion. I would guess they would think the Founders are less than perfect because they prefer (I'm assuming, not going on actual knowledge) prefer to remain in their formless shape. I think that wouldn't be perfect to the Borg. And if they know anything about the Jem'Hadar they probably wouldn't want to assimilate them because they are less than perfect as well. Due to the fact that they rely on that white stuff...can't remember what it's called at the moment.

Now, on top of it all, how did the Romulans get Borg technology anyway? and not only how did they get it, but how did they get enough of it to actually experiment with it? I know you don't need a lot to experiment with anything, but it also depends on what you're experimenting on/with. And I am sure that the Romulans feel the same as the Federation when their warriors/soldiers wouldn't want borg technology swimming through their veins with the potential, (as you say it actually happens) potential of the borg programming taking over...

And about the "needing a leader," thing, both crews ARE spectacular, and Janeway would be MORE than capable of leading them on this event. Hmm, she only brough the ship home and in one piece in just 7 years...

Otherwise, with the actual Star Trek producers looking at it, they could give the story more potential...not bad otherwise.

So it is either an ok idea or a bad idea.
Shame.
