The Temperal Prime Directive is like the Prime Directive, except it is for time, you are not allowed to change the timeline.

The temporal time directive is very well explained in the Voyager episode "Relativity" . That episode is entirely dedicated to the Voyager time-line.

the Temporal Time Directive basically says: nobody, from the future or anyother time, is allowed to go back in time and change history. because if you do the future changes and another timeline is created, and alternate timeline

It is good. Don't forget how they violated it in "Trials And Tribble-ations!" The Deep Space Nine episode.

the temporal time diective is a long thing, about 50 some odd pages, but it basically states that no person place or thing is allowed to go back to change the past. kinda like what admiral janeway did in voyager

the TPD states that the federations outlined "preferred" timeline cannot be changed, they also map other timelines to compare and change the preferred timeline in accordance with the past

thats why your not allowed to go back in time. they don't want people changing any timelines. no matter for good or for evil

You sure you aren't talking about the Department of Temporal Investigations?

but they are always messing with time. They have those ships that specifically go back in time to stop someone from *messing things up*. Like that ep of Voyager where they go through time to Earth in the 90's. And what about Admiral Janeway in Endgame? How can they punish you for messing with the TPD if you no longer exist because of it?

That is absolutly the problem associated with Quantom Mechanics. You realize that if you go back to help push things a little farther and faster it can eliminate peoples jobs, their source of income, and people's lives from ever accoring, and can even sprout new life. Then again, if you affected something you may never have been around to start the cycle in the first place.
