Hmm, I think it looks pretty interesting.

I read the book the other night (only 55 pages, psh), it was okay.

It's crazy how many great reviews and award nominations this movie is getting.

I don't plan on seeing it, but more power to them for creating it. I do think, however, that part of the reason for this movie, and the great reviews, is because of politics. But I don't care if they make it or you see it. I have no wish to see it, but if you want to, go and see it.

Well it's practically guaranteed to be good, based on the actors and director. It would probably be worth going to see just for those reasons alone, even if you can't appreciate the plot.

Personally, I don't think I could sit through a movie about a man in love with another man. Nothing against gays--seriously; it's just that I don't think I could sit through a movie about that. I just couldn't.
But you guys enjoy it!

Well, they aren't gay. I'd suggest that you read the book, but we know that that won't happen, so nevermind,

Well then what is it? From what I've understood of it, from watching the news and an interview with a proponent of the movie or something, that's what it is...

Well, they're in love, but they aren't gay. It's kind of complicated, but not really since the book is under 60 pages... They both end up married and have children.

Wha! You just told the ending, and I haven't seen the movie, yet! Quick, edit your message, and maybe I'll forget what you wrote!

I don't think I'd enjoy seeing a movie with Heath Ledger and another guy 'making out'. What makes me really sick is that this movie is getting such good reviews and that it should be considered for awards. Nothing against gays, but I would rather watch grass grow.

Subject matter isn't considered as far as whether films are nominated for most awards, or if they get good or bad reviews. They instead tend to be based on acting, cinematography, directing, etc.

Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are excellent actors, Ang Lee is an excellent director. When you put that together, what do you have? Most likely an excellent movie, regardless of the subject. But sure, grass is interesting, too...

I hope the movie sweeps the Oscars and golden globes. About time we had a movie like this.

As i said in some other topics. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I didn't bash the passion of the Christ or any other movie i don't like the look of. i just didn't watch it.

I think in the movie they say "I'm no queer," so that technically means their not gay. But i suppose you could class them as Bisexual or gay if you want to put a label on them

This movie should only get Oscars and Golden Globes in categories it was good in, like directing, score, cinematography, etc. I don't think, and I hope that it doesn't get best picture, but that's just me.

I reeeeeeeally want to go see this, I just don't want to go by myself. At the same time, I don't know if I really want to ask anyone to go with me either, so I guess we are in a bit of a predicament.

I'm curious about the movie, and wouldn't mind seeing it...only thing is, I wouldn't be "allowed" to. So I suppose that's another to add to the list of things I'll see when I turn 18.
