C.S. Lewis wrote the book with the intention of spreading the gospel of Christ. Aslan is Jesus (crucified and risen 3 days later), the children are us, the White Witch is Satan (remember when Aslan roared at her and she sat down, just as Satan will bow before God). There is also a bunch of stuff about forgiveness.
If you read through all of the books it becomes more and more clear that this is his intention.

I didn't realize that. Thank you. However, that is no reason not to see the movie, just because there are religious overtones (and I meant undertones with regards to SW, Jeff).

There was nothing wrong with the movie that I saw. People who aren't religious wouldn't think it was good. no offense. Deb and I saw it twice already. It was good.

I beg to differ, though, Charlie. For instance, CJ Cregg isn't religious in the least--he's an athiest--and he liked it. Plus, there's no reason not to like it, even if you're an athiest.

I just recently watched the movie and to be honest with you, I am no Christian...but this is exactly what I liked about the movie and what kept my attention. Natuarally I didn't realize it until after the movie, but still, it just goes to prove that even someone who is completely not Christian or anything like that could also go on to enjoy such a movie.
