"The Zyhnn are not stupid, If they were your people would have bested them by now. As it is our people are more like a impass in this little war. If things did not appear to be that there is a greater danger out there then you and me would not be talking and i would have already killed you and most likely all of your men when we met in the forest. I doubt you even look up at all do you? " Lana said bitterly, stupid indeed ha!

She was no imbecile and she certainly wasnt stupid. And the only time her resources will give out is when she is old and grey. And even then she will have her sharp dagger with her to kill those who go against her.

Arnathus could help but laugh at the Zhynn woman, Lana. Kill all of his men indeed. He laughed for a good moment before ceasing.

"Kill myself? I could agree with you managing to best me with your stealth in the forest. But over 75 Men? That is simply folly," he said shaking his head and chuckling once more, "On top of that, you failed to comprehend my use of the word stupid. I did not mean intellectually inferior but referring to willing sending one's child to an almost certain death," he paused and grinned, "Though, I'm willing to reconsider my usage in your case after your amusing rant," he joked.

lana glared at him trying to control her temper, if she didnt she would do somthing stupid like stick her sai into his gut. "If I wasnt here for my people, i would stick my sai in your gut for calling my people stupid but for calling me amusing also. No one has ever dared to call me amusing, espeacially not to me face." she said folding her arms over her chest and turning once again to sit straight ahead.

Men. They are in sufferable creatures, no wonder her people are at war with them. Think they are all high and mighty and nothing can touch them. Why is she being tested like this?!

"If you have a extra cloak that will cover me from head to toe, i would like to borrow it before we reach any of your people." she said once she could manage a sense of calm in her voice.

Arnathus shook his head once more. Somehow the thought of how people had called him pompous just seemed out of place now.

"No sense of humour. That's how the war must have started; a man must have told a joke," he said, trying his luck once more, "And if you would prefer it, I could replace 'stupid' with 'careless'. Frankley, you should be honoured. It's on very rare occassion that I offer to retract or correct a statement I made."

Vlths, oddly enough, began to feel better as he battled. The stinging in his chest from the graze of the blade seemed to vanish. This was not something he thought bad; he was relieved.

Vlths' skill with a sword in battle was uncanny, near unbelievably quick. He rotated the blade to hold it backwards, the blade running up his arm; he blocked the strike of a Juar with his blade as such, then headbutted it. As it fell he switched his blade quickly to impale the Juar as it landed on the ground. Vlths did not hesitate to roll forwards upon impact, withdrawing his blade concurrently, then stood up facing several other Juar...

"sense of humor?" she asked raising a eyebrow at him as she glanced back. "Though i have heard of humor I have never participated in it. Only time i have seen humor is when in disguise saw men use humor to persuade a girl to share a night with him. I trust you are not flirtting with me milord. " she said with a humorous glint in her eye.

Arnathus cocked an eyebrow at the Zhynn woman, Lana. Never used humour? Even for a military man such as himself, humour was a part of Man's culture. It helped ease tensions or would offer great entertainment. It also made for good diner conversation.

"Oh, me flirt with a Zhynn such as yourself?" He stated as if surprised and taken aback by the comment, but quickly changed his expression, "Would not have been the first time I've flirted with death," he said with a smirk.

dn was launching arrow after arrow, letting them rain through the sky. He hit some Juar, but many continued to fight, with arrows in their torso. The nimble Elf looked back at Tilion.

"Tilion!" He yelled out, "Use your magic against them! Lessen our foes!"

(sorry had to deal with school stuff for awhile)

"Oh I have no doubt you flirt with death on a regular basis." She said. " Now that you are done, when do you believe we will arrive. And I am to assume to expect some hostility unless you have a cloak i can wear to cover my identity."

Skill and agility were highly underrated to brute strength, which Vlths would have been thinking if it were not for remaining alive being the only thought in his head in an attempt to hold off 3 Juar at the same time. The battle would have been going much better if Tilion, Hanthellion, Borimir, and Chagra decided to help but they seemed quite content to observe.

Vlths was strictly on defence now as he was unable to spare even a second without his blade near his torso for protection. He had managed to draw a large hunter's knife, though and use it to block Juar weapons as well.

"Tilion, you old fool! Cease your baffled, wide-eyed stare and make yourself useful in a time of need, for once!" Vlths yelled, more than aggitated.

~Bnrt~

The Zhynn woman was right. she would receive more than her share of hostility unless she received a cloak to cover her appearance. However slight the differences may be due to her being a half breed, the people would notice. By all rights they would have ever reason to show hostility. Raids by the Zhynn were not uncommon and many loved ones perrished.

"I have a cloak you may have, never fear," Arnathus replied, "But I would also suggest you remain close to myself as an added safety. You may be a skilled fighter capable of killing an angry villager or two but should that happen it is highly unlikely you'd kill an entire town and some warriors. Remain by me and they will think twice about attacking and should several decide to do so they entire town would not attempt to slaughter me if I were to stop them."

Tilion's mind raced with possibilities of things to do.

Vlths sword! I could enchant it

Tilion started for Vlths. He used his staff as a defensive weapon, choosing not to go on the offencive, or waste effort. Something Juar were doing plenty of. Tilion got close enough to Vlths to do what he needed. He started muttering. He made movments with his free hand over Vlths's sword.

"Ter'pa le fea be"

Vlths sword had now started to glow, showing the power Tilion had just given it.

"Use it well my friend!" Tilion turned and fought of another Juar.

-Lrnthi-

dn's arrows rained down upon the Juar almost as if swift judgement from the Gods came down upon them. Their numbers had lessened significantly. Their smelly bodies began to pile across the forest. Only a few were left alive and still fighting. The Elf reached for another arrow from his quiver, but it was empty. He sighed and placed his bow on his body. He unsheathed two short swords and twirled them around his body. A wild howl screamed out behind him. A Juar swung at with a large brunt sword. dn blocked with one sword and stabbed the Juar in the throat with the other. The Juar dropped to the ground, dead. Only three Juar were left alive and they were converging on Vlths. dn ran down the small clearing, his blades twirling menacingly at his side. One of the Juar were about to leap at his comrade. As it leapt into the air, dn jumped onto it's back. His short swords pierced the rough fur, all the way through the skin. It dropped to the ground with the Elf still on it. He looked up at Vlths and smiled.

"(Watch your back friend)." He said in Elvish.

dn yanked the two swords out of the Juar's back and stood alongside the Dnt. The two remaning Juar bared their yellow and rotten, but sharp teeth.

There were only two remaining. Tilion had finally decided to join the battle, which made an immediate impact despite being an old man. He had a power within him that was not matched by many. Using this power he had enchanted Vlths' sword with a flaming aura. The blade turned read with heat and flames spouted from it.

The Juar facing him was unmoved by the enchanted sword at first. he jumped at Vlths with a blade and his claws. Vlths used his sword to block the Juar's sword. The two blades erupted in flames and sparks as the two weapons collided. Vlths parried out of the way of the claws just in time and drove his hunting knife into the Juars arm as it followed through with the swing despite missing. It roared but quickly turned to a screaming his as Vlths drove his seering hot blade into its leg as it was preoccupied with the pain in it's arm. The sound of flesh cooking could be heard in a hiss and steam coming from it's leg. Vlths withdrew it quickly, raised it with a spin and brought it straight down on the Juar's head. It went through the skull effortlessly. The Juar fell backwards to the ground, dead. Vlths looked at the last remaining Juar as it was engaged with the Elf. He pulled his hunting knife out of the dead Juar's arm and threw it, hitting the last on in the side. This left it very vulnerable to dn as it shrieked in pain.

dn watched as the Juar dropped to one knee in pain, left open for attack. He put his short swords in an x position around the Juar's neck. It looked up and bared it's teeth in defiance. dn spread the swords apart and let the body fall to the ground, headless. He sighed heavily and looked back at Vlths.

"(We must go to my home land in haste)," He warned, "(The scent of Juar blood is in the air. Orc and Juar alike will smell it and could come here.)"

(Don't care if its a double post. I'm keeping this RPG alive. )

-Lrnthi-

dn wiped the Juar blood, staining his left cheek. An exuasted sigh escaped his thin lips. The stench of the air was revolting. His eyes cast upon the others. They did not participate much in the fight, but offered little help. No doubt they were surprised of the attack. The Elf was surprised the Juar was on the enchanted road. It was obvious dumb luck that they had made camp there. He sheathed his two short swords and motioned for the others to follow him.

"Come," He said, "We are not far from my home at all..."

He continued along the road, grateful to put distance between that dead Juar and the others, including himself. His pointed ears perked up when he heard a familiar sound. The sound of Elves singing and their voices carrying through the air. A cool gust of wind past through him and their beautiful voices carried on it.

"(M'lord Vlths)," He said, "(We have arrived. You, and the others, will find safe haven here...)

He pointed downward from the cliff they were on at the edge of the forest. A beautiful city, almost made of pure light was seen.

"(Welcome to Irienshri.)" He said with a smile on his face, happy to have returned.
