PostWed Dec 21, 2005 4:14 pm    Official STV Awards

This is the Official STV awards nomination topic, done with the approval of the STV staff. There will be a "winner" and a "follow up" for each award.

All are for "Of the Year", unless otherwise stated.

This is a serious voting topic; nominations will be counted as you post, so be sure that what you have down is what you want for nominations.

A sentence or two on your reasons while not required, would be nice.

Might I ask why WN debater is not included? I really think that that's a good one to include.
Thank you.

Newbie of the Year: BrightStar82 (She had joined in april or something, but only really started posting in november. I feel she deserves this)

RPG GM: Founder (He has gotton DSG on the front page, and the information on the RPG introduction is informative, and well organized.)

RPGer: Founder (His skills are impressive, and he has an awesome ability to portay several people at once. He always is on the look out for visual aids, and takes extra care and time to post QUALITY posts.)

RPG: Deep Space Guardian (Again, On the Front Page, and the information is informative, AND the members are good)

As of this post, it had been decided not to include that as a catagory, that could change though.

PostWed Dec 21, 2005 4:45 pm    Re: Official STV Awards

Admin: Morphy - Clearly, no one else gets the site back up when it crashes.
Most Well Known Admin: Theresa - I think that's just obvious.
Mod: Valathous - Dan is always fair and usually tries at least to present both sides even when I don't want to see them.
Most Well Known Mod: IntrepidIsMe - Everyone talks about Aaron...I mean, who wouldn't want to be connect to that kind of popularity?
Member: Anyone who does not, or very rarely posts in Fun & Games.
Most Well Known User: Republican_Man - He has made a name for himself in WN, RPGs, and all the other areas of the forum. Def has to be the most well known.
Newbie of the Year: luit14
RPG GM: Founder
RPGer: Valathous/Lord Borg
RPG: Deep Space Guardian
Fan Fic Writer: n/a
Most Helpful: n/a
Most Trek Knowledge: Sonic74205 - While I don't really go into the ST topics that much any more, except to mod, he was the first person who came to mind.
And I am just going write in Hitchhiker as WN Debater...if we choose to do that. He always presents a logical, though provoking argument. Along with that, I don't think he has ever come close to losing his temper, which I know for me is very hard sometimes.

Admin: Morphy (With out him, there would be no STV)

Most Well Known Admin: Thomas (Almost everyone knows Thomas!)

Mod: Aaron (He seems to be everywhere)

Most Well Known Mod:Kevin (I guess I agree with Chris)

Member: HitchHiker (Well, because... He just is)

Most Well Known User: Republican_Man (Had to change my vote, the previous person wasn't well known, just notorious for being in trouble.)

Newbie of the Year: Nadia (Nadia's a great kid, she sticks by what she believes, and likes emus.)

RPG GM: Founder (He's the only one I know who has an RPG I'd read)

RPGer: Chris [Lord Borg] (I'm going to take part of Syd's answer from before. Knowing Chris personally, and watching his writing, spelling, and grammar skills improve as great as they have, I'm impressed)

RPG: Deep Space Guardian (This would be the only RPG I know the name of w/out having to go look.)

Fan Fic Writer: Exalya (She's Good!)

Most Helpful: Valathous (I always bounce ideas off him, and he doesn't complain, )

Most Trek Knowledge: HH(Well, everyone says it's him, so, they must be right, )

Admin: Morphy, this one is obvious but I'll say it anyway, he has done a great job with STV.

Most Well Known Admin: Theresa, T is nice to me, not saying that Thomas isn't, but I just really like T and I think everyone here knows her the most.

Mod: IndrepidIsMe, even though he has fun laughing at me, I think he is nice, and funny. But hay( ) I'm laughing too.

Most Well Known Mod: Puck, I think everyone knows Puck.

Member:Thomas, just because I didn't vote for him in the admin part, and I think he deserves it.

Most Well Known User: Republican_Man, I think that almost everyone on here knows Republican_Man through RPGing or debating in WN.

Newbie of the Year: luit14, I'm not sure why but I had him down for this one in my last vote thingy.

RPG GM: Founder, he's good at what he does.

RPGer: Founder, once again, he is good at what he does.

RPG: Deep Space Guardian, I don't know why....

Fan Fic Writer: AndrewBullock, I like his poems

Most Helpful: Leo Wyatt and Lord Borg, Deb because I can come to her with anything and she will help me with my problem. And Chris because I once asked him if I should make a topic about something, and asked him if that would be ok, or if it would just get locked....

PostSat Dec 24, 2005 2:21 pm    Re: Official STV Awards

Admin [Morphy] It's really quite simple. Without Morphy, we wouldn't be here. He's like our Founding Father--the Founding Father of STV!
Most Well Known Admin [Theresa] Who doesn't know Theresa?
Mod [Valathous] He's been exceptional, I think, just overall. He's a good STV friend of mine and I've seen him do nothing less than good things in that position.
Most Well Known Mod [IntrepidIsMe] He's him. It may not always be for the right reasons, but he's probably the most well known.
Member [Hitchhiker] My good STV friend came in, upon my recruitment of him from STSF, has made COUNTLESS contributions to this site, with his intellectual posts, fantastic RPGing skills, and just everything else; therefore he's well deserving of this award.
Most Well Known User [Defiant] As Starbuck said, there's nothing that says that we can't nominate a user that's no longer here. I have to vote Defiant as well. Although it's more often than not for the worst reasons, Defiant has to be considered the most well known user. He just does.
Newbie of the Year [Hitchhiker] Look, when I recruited the man I didn't think that he would post in anything other than RPGs (the real reason I recruited him j/k). However, when he came in he got used to the site and started adding to the discussions and everything. He's gotta be the Newbie of the Year. No one fits the position better.
RPG GM [Founder] What can I say? He started the most active RPG (with the best posts, I mean) and has run the BEST RPG yet. Not to mention he's running a war in the series based on my character , but seriously--he's gotten a front page RPG through the means he's supposed to get and has run the best RPG ever, with the best RPer base and everything.
RPGer [Hitchhiker/Exalya] I've been called by some as a good RPer--although I'm skeptical as to whether or not that is true--and yet am not, I feel, anywhere near deserving of this award. It's close between Lord Borg and Valathous, but this award HAS to go to my good STV friends, Tach and Exalya. Tach has made countless contributions to so many GMs, including myself and Founder, through images and great posts and has just contributed some of the best RP posts I've yet to see. He is well-deserving of the job. Exalya is a fantastic writer, very talented in descriptions and everything. She's done quite well in RPGs that she's a member of, and can really act out different characters. She's been a great asset to all the RPGs she's a member of. Therefore, she also is deserving of this award. I can't choose between the two!
RPG [DSG] By far THE BEST RPG I've ever seen and been in. It's phenominal on every letter. It should be made into a TV series, a miniseries, AND a movie series--it's just great! I'd see it a million times over, and give it FIVE STARS!
Fan Fic Writer [Exalya] From the bits of fanfiction I've read of hers, I can safely say that she is definitely the best Fan Fiction writer. Definitely deserving of the award.
Most Helpful [Exalya] Hitchhiker is close to that position, what with his help for RPGers such as myself (pictures) and stuff, but I have to vote for the person whom I would consider my best STV friend--Exalya. She helped me get through my site-wide ban, is helping me continuously with a problem I have, has helped me with my RPGs (developing and acting as a Secretary ), and other things. I could think of no one more helpful than her.
Most Trek Knowledge [Hitchhiker] In RPGs he shines when it comes to Trek knowledge, particularly engineering. He's definitely got the most Trek knowledge of anyone I know...

Admin: Theresa - Even though I have had a lot of different... conflicts in the past. Theresa has actually given a lot to the site. Yes Morphy is the one that runs the entire site on the ... technicaly aspects, but T is actually the Admin that runs the forums it self in my view.
Most Well Known Admin: Theresa - Read above

RPG [Founder] By far THE BEST RPG I've ever seen and been in.
