JAG - Previous JAG DVD Reports Confirmed By Info About Bonus Material
Posted by David Lambert
12/17/2005

One of our readers, Kylie Webb, sent us some great info the other day, that includes news about both JAG and the show that spun off from it, NCIS. It further confirms the previous story about JAG coming to DVD in 2006. We'll let Kylie's cool e-mail tell the tale:

Harriet, who works for DPB as an audience liason, posted the following to the NCIS-CBS YahooGroup tonight:

"The first seasons of "JAG" and "NCIS" will be released by Paramount late spring of 2006. The DVD production team is currently doing cast and crew interviews at the "NCIS" set to add as "Bonus Material."

I was interviewed yesterday for the "JAG" DVD, and haven't a clue as to what I said. Unhappily, I thought of a few great things to discuss after the production team left. Oh, well."

Sound good? It sounds great to us, especially since we tracked down Harriet at Belisarius Productions and confirmed the info with her. She was very nice to speak to us, and to break the info to the YahooGroup as well. We're keeping a sharp eye on Paramount's announcements, looking for the official announcements for both of these. Stay tuned!

USA channel is rerunning Jag and I am just recording it. Just until I can get a chance to get the DVDS.

I went to finally buy it yesterday, but right next to it was SG-1, and, well, I've no love for season one of JAG, so...,

- Yes it is a pretty old show. But not as old as ER (13...) or Law & Order (17...)

I'm a fan of JAG, but I've always had...a bone to pick with it. Thought it was somewhat sexist and (yes) cheesy at times. BUT...I still watched it. Wouldn't watch it with Tracy Needham though, did not like her. She was more suited to Lifetime type of stuff.

I'm much more familiar with NCIS, instead of JAG (NCIS is CSI-lite, but with the US Navy).

Yeah, NCIS did an ep when they first started that was a crossover w/ JAG. It totally ruined the story arc of JAG for awhile, so that pretty much turned me off to NCIS. Never even bothered to try watching after that.
