Hello, and welcome to the USS Hickory.

USS Hickory Current statistics:
NCC-Irrelevant USS Hickory Rogue Saucer.
Statistics:
The USS Hickory was originally part of the USS Icarus, a Galaxy Class starship, which was part of a fleet sent to search the lorianan planet for romulan spies. When it was discovered that Starfleet simply intended to obliterate the Lorianans so that the federation could have the dilithium the Lorianans did not wish to give, Three ships faced off against the other 12.
Acting purely on ethics, and the prime directive, rather than an admiral's word, the captains of the USS Devange, USS Fairview, and the USS Icarus deflty managed to take out all of the remaining starfleet presence.
Renowned as heroes on Loriana, sadly only part of one vessel made it.
You see, the borg were waiting. They too, wanted the planet Loriana.
The fairview was obliterated by the cube in seconds... It didn't take much... after all, it was an outdated vessel.
The Devange never stood a chance, seeing as it was slightly smaller than a shuttle.
The USS Icarus left, against one cube did the only thing they could think up.
They seperated the ship.
And WARPED the engineering half into the borg cube.
The battle ended, and now the only thing remaining was the Saucer of the USS Icarus.

The crew decided to rename the vessel Hickory, as in hickory smoked, because that is what happened to the rest of thier fleet.

Now, while the saucer managed to salvage the USS Fairview's "Hyperwarp" core, and some weapon arrays, it is now a small ship, rather than part of one.
It's mission: To retake honor, and prove that the dead of the Icarus, Devange, and Fairview were correct in what they did.

Chapter Prologue: Aftermath.

Carefully landed, the USS Hickory was under repairs and upgrades, and the patched together crew of rebels had to learn to co-exist.

Soon, the time for honor to return shall come.

Overall appearance: A rather strange looking critter, it is rather short for it's attitude. Usually clad in blue, and brown, it has a slightly more powerful form, which it has not unlocked. The eyes make it seem much more sinister than it is.
Special Ability: Black Elementals: Fire, Thunder, Blizzard, Variations thereof.(Set things on fire... electrocute them, freeze them... not very powerful, however.)

BIO:The Yuke, Yuko LightMage, had exceptional healing powers at birth. The mother of Luitenant LightMage, had an great wound and with the birth the wound closed when the mother took him on her arm. After finding himself interested in space he sought for a good Space Exploring ship. He then on his 15'd joined Starfleet Academy and studied in advanced healing methods. On his 19'd he already graduated as a Doctor. On previous ships he whas commented by all his previous captains for doing exceptional work and keep going on even if it whas a minor wound. After 8 years of experience he departed on the USS Icarus. During the half a year from it's launch from Starfleet Dock Yards, he has made himself an integral part of the ship's medicine.

Laurent moved casually amongst the outer hull of the ship. He saw many random aliens... they were all adding weapons ports, or trying to install the hyperwarp drive... it was quite a bustle of activity.
Rather than impede the way, he decided to go try and help out with the welding process...
This is why Starship captains make bad engineers.
Laurent: "Frigging useless welding torches..."

Engineer: "No! What are you doing!"

Steve was ofcourse on the bridge maintaining command and helping the soomsailing of repairs.

"No No DONT DO THAT u stupid ensign, just go do something else before i demote you". You understand of course what the ensign was trying to do was strange he was wielding a eps console with a phaser; if he would have been slightly off he could have got the console and overloaded it.

Steven was always annoyed at the untrained ensigns here, he thought to himself "One day im going to fix that with some training!".

With an amused expression, Laurent walks on the bridge, casually climbing out of the Turbo-lift tube, since the lifts were off-line.
"Remember, Commander, we're not in Starfleet anymore."
The ensign had a smug look on his face.
"Ensign... what are you so smug about?"
Ensign: "He was telling me how to do my job. I'm glad you bit him out."
"Ensign... Tell me... have you ever, ever been so cold you can't feel anything?"
Ensign: "No... why?"
"Blizzara."
With a quick burst of water, and freezing wind, the ensign became and ensign-cicle.
"Darn trigger happy ensigns..."

Steve gave a chuckle and spoke: "Stupid ensign, now what shall we do with his this "ensign-cicle" maybe throw him in a cold morgue tube or the brig? which one captain?. Steve gave an evil grin!

"Bah... leave him outside."
A random engineer entered with a status report.
"Ahh... the impulse engines are tied into the hyperwarp core. Now we can go places, we just can't fight yet."
...
"It would also seem that a creature has been praying on andorians at night..."
hmm...
"Computer, get me the intercom."

"Attention all Andorian crew. Due to safety concerns, no Andorians shall be permitted off the vessel after hours. Security shall be doubled at all entries and exits."

Chapter 0: Prologue: The Andorian Hunter

With an unpleasant look on his face, Laurent thought back to the battle against his own fleet(including quite a few of his good friends), and the battle against the cube. He didn't like the fact that he destroyed over half his ship... but the crew had to be saved... he remembered when the Admiral ordered them to send down armed away teams, and erradicate the planet. He remembered many things...
How the Interpid class Scientia sent down several armed security forces... how he sent down his own people to stop them.
They killed thousands... The klingons had a proverb: "A running man can slit a thousand throats in one night."
27 Starfleet personel, armed with phasers only killed 2400 people in less than half an hour.
Those lives were on Laurent's hands. He hesistated before sending down a counter force.
The Devange already had sent one down... and the Fairview was quickly becomming a joke, as it fired pot shots at the scientia with it's outdated weaponry... Someone HAD to do something.
The Devange... the Fairview... Captain Reid... Captain Loren... thier crew... they had to regain they're honor.
And someone HAS to do it.
Laurent looked up at the sky...
"I will make those who caused this suffer. I promise."
And so he set out to go help the engineering crew install the phasers and torpedoes.
And somewhere, on Earth, an Admiral was not amused.

Admiral Bates' Office, Earth.

Admiral Bates watched the viewscreen carefully. The cloaked USS Monitor had seen the rebels strike back. It had watched, and sent it all back.
He now watched as the Devange, the Fairview, and the Icarus fought against his orders, and his men. He was pleased to see the Fairview taken out without much effort. It was after all over 100 years old. The Devange, and the Icarus managed to take out 10 starships... with the help of a cube.
The part that shocked Bates the most, was that, according to the Monitor's sensor scans of the planet, quite alot of crew had survived.
As had the saucer part of the USS Icarus.
Admiral Bates paced his office, pondering what on earth he was going to do.
If the remainder of the Icarus took off, and came back, he'd be in some hot water.
Admiral Bates: "To the attention of the Captain of the USS Monitor: Launch your prototype creature. Nothing on that planet may live. Not even the Icarus' crew."
With a small laugh, Bates walked out of his room.
He had a story to brew up... just in case the Icarus did take off.

Planet Loriana, Crash Site, USS Icarus/Hickory

Laurent looked up. He knew for sometime, that the monitor was around. Starfleet always kept an eye on Reid, and Loren, and it didn't surprise him that thier watch dog would be watching him, now that they were gone.
That was why the weapons had to be installed BEFORE taking off.
Laurent quickly left, as darkness fell.
In the distance, a strange howl could just barely be heard.

[Admiral Dani�l]

The Doctor whas in Sickbay making the repairs of sickbay self with 11 of his summoned workers. Sometimes someone walked cos he got injured by repairs, but further he heard nothing what whas going on outside.

-U.S.S. Hickory, Bridge-

Steve then Responded: "Outside" you say?, ok!. Computer transfer the frozen ensign to outside on the planet we landed on!." The computer than repsonded and the ensign was on the planet "Melting". Steve then replied: "That will teach that ensign his lesson".

Ofcourse Steve was unaware of a prototype creature that was lurking on the planet surface, ready to kill the inhabitants of it. How unfortunate for this ensign, i think its safe to say now his fate is sealed.

[Admiral Dani�l]

The Doctor had finished the repairs on sickbay and desummoned the 11 workers. He then walked a bit around to see the status of the ship.

USS Hickory- Captain's Observatory(Previously Captain's quarters, except that Captain Laurent can't sleep anymore.)

Laurent stared out his window, at the vast forest. He sensed something evil out there.
Intercom: "Engineering to Captain Laurent."
"Yes, Engineering, Report."
Intercom: "All weapons functional. Transporter test turned out positive, and the Hyperwarp passed all it's test runs. By the way... there was a "Cloak option" in the Hyperwarp's programming that permits it to be virtually undetectable when in Hyperwarp. Also, There are reports of a strange creature lurking about the outside of the ship. A frozen ensign was found brutally murdered this morning."
"He deserved it."
Intercom: "WHAT?"
"We aren't in starfleet anymore, Engineering. He questioned his commanding officer's orders, and made rude obscene gestures towards both his commanding officer, and his captain. This isn't starfleet. He got what he deserved. After all, Discipline must be maintained."
Intercom: "*clears throat*. Yes Sir. Engineering out."
With a slightly odd smile, Laurent wandered over to the other viewport. Darkness was falling, and he could faintly hear a strange howl... and something moved in the brush.
"What in the hell is that?"

Leo tapped his combadge: "Commander Leo to Captain LaurenT, Should i go outside and check it out, im detecting a starnge bieng outside heading for our ship, it could be hostile?"

Captain's Observatory, USS Hickory

"No! Do not leave the ship. Have security seal all entrances. I sense a great evil from that thing."
Another howl, this time about half as far away as last time pierced through the hull.
A chill went down the strange captain's spine, and he shivered.
He knew that eventually he'd have to fight it.
He just hoped it didn't have to be SOON.

[Uss_Voyager]

-U.S.S. Hickory, Bridge-

Comcall: "Yes Captain, id also recommend taking off? what do you think?"

Captain's Observatory:

"I agree. Order the crew to lift off. We have to get off this planet, and get into hyperwarp so the Monitor can't find us. Scan the area for the closest non-inhabited class M planet. We still have a few things we need to do... like organize our crew. I don't feel like dealing with the monitor until we're ready."
Another howl... maybe a kilometer away now...
"Laurent to helm. Take off. Now. Full impulse. Hyperwarp when safe."
With an incredible shudder, the saucer took off. The crew of the USS Hickory set out for the stars, in search of a safe haven, and eventually, Honor.

-U.S.S. Hickory, Bridge-

"Yes captain, leo Out"

Leo than spoke: "ALL HANDS PREPARE FOR DECENT AND ENTER CODE BLUE!"

As leo said that the computer spoke and the lights dimmed with flashing blue lights.

After the computer finished Leo spoke to the helm: "Ok Take us up Lt"

The helm officer replied: "ok" and the ship decended. As we did the Ops officer screamed and said: "THE Unknown lifeform is on the top of our hull is following us" as she spoke you could here foot steps on the hull"

Leo the replied: "Try to shake it Off"

The Crew of hickory were off for the ride of there life!

As the planet's gravity pulled the Saucer back, it started spinning, and moving in a strange pattern, as the Helm ensign, bieng unexperienced, tried to stay stable, and shake off the creature.

Captain's Observatory:

"What in the hell?"
Computer: "Attention all crew! Attention all crew! Automated doors are now off-line."
"What in the hell?"

The ship crashed into the planet, and the windows to the captain's observatory shattered.

Captain's Observatory-Ruins:

Laurent looked around, after the saucer had crashed.
There was Dirt piled into his observatory, and something was trying to dig it's way in.
"Computer... Damage Report."
Computer: "All engines off-line. All weapons active. Hyperwarp core undamaged, but unusable until IMpulse engines come on-line. Hull breaches in the following locations: Engineering, and Captain's Quarters."
"Joy" he said to no one in particular.
The door out of his observatory still wouldn't budge.
Intercom: "Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert! Unknown life sign in the Captain's Quarters! Intruder Alert! Intru..."
"What?" Laurent exclaimed loudly, and whirled about.
The creature stared down at the 2.9 foot tall mage.
It was Eleven feet tall....
and the crash hadn't hurt it one bit.
"You will not take me without a fight!" Laurent exclaimed, and grabbed his ceremonial staff from his mantle.
Intercom: "...der Alert! Intruder Alert! There is an Unknown Life sing in the Captain's Quarters..."

-U.S.S. Hickory, Bridge-

As the alarm went off Leo spoke to the computer; "Computer transport 2 Phaser rifles to me", the computer then responded and 2 phaser rifles apeared in my hand i then rushed to the captains observatory doors and with leos manly strengh slid them open to find the alien:


The alien was just about to make a pounce on the captain so i dived infront of him pushing her aside along with a rifle and the alien bit Leo in his Stomch with its big beak and Leo sat there bleeding and with his last enegery got his rifle and shot the alien, and it had no effect.

Captain's Observatory:

"What in home's name is THAT?"
he watched leo pass out slowly.
"That is ENOUGH. This ends HERE. NO MORE."
His skin charged with static electricity, and he became completely incandescant, lighting up the entire room.
"Thundara!" he screamed.
The creature was hit with 25000 volts of electricity.
With no effect.
Except that the creature now turned to him.
It opened it's beak, and dashed towards him.
"Fira!" He exclaimed as he aimed the staff at it's open mouth.
A large fireball went down it's throat.
It stopped...
and then it burped.
And then it resumed it's charge.
"I don't know what else to do..."
It came faster and faster...
"Blizzara!" He exclaimed, still aiming the staff at it's open mouth.
The block of ice got stuck in the bird's beak, and it couldn't attack him with it.
"Blizzara!" He exclaimed again, this time aiming for it's breathing holes above it's beak, and it's eyes.
They froze shut.
The creature died within minutes, of suffocation.
"This isn't over yet, Leo. I do not intend to see my crew die."
He grabbed leo's foot, and lugged him through the doors, towards sickbay.
Silently watching, the USS monitor noted that the creature's transponder stopped functioning.

Admiral Bates' Office, Earth
"Yes Captain, What can I do for you?" Admiral Bates asked, as the captain of the Monitor hailed him.
Captain of the Monitor: "The creatures' transponder has ceased to function."
"Retreat, then captain. But don't let them get far."
Captain of the Monitor: "Aye Sir."
Admiral Bates turned off his screen.
This ship, and most especially the two running it, were becomming a serious pain in this admiral's stomach.

-U.S.S. Hickory, Turbolift-

Leo was fading in and out of consiousness with a hole in his stomuch leeking blood all over the lift.

Intercom: "Attention all crew! Repairs are commencing. Please do not leave your posts until repairs are complete."

Turbolift:
Laurent struggled to move the rather heavy Commander.
after all, bieng less than three feet tall had it's disadvantages....

USS Monitor:
Captain: "I CAN'T BELIEVE SOMEONE KILLED THE PROTOTYPE!"
First Officer: "I can't either... I don't understand how this is possible..."
Captain: "Come into my ready room... there's something you need to see."
After entering the Ready Room, the captain brought out three PADS.
"This is classified Data, Commander. Treat it as your eyes only."

PADD A- Top Secret: Commander Steven Cole, also known by "Leo".
Previous Command Listing: Starfleet Special Corps, Covert Operative.
Extensive knowledge of weapons, and explosives.
Incredible, possibly inhuman strength.

PADD B- Top Secret: Commander Yuko
Previous Command Listing: Starfleet Special Corps, Assault Troops.
After bieng a member of starfleet's "Cannon Fodder" crew of assault troops in the dominion war, it is no wonder this creature seeks a doctor position to save lives, rather than destroy them.
Capable of wielding unknown power.

PADD C- Top Secret: Laurent
Previous Command Listing: USS Intrepid, Chief of Security.
A strange entity, to whom none have ever actually SEEN his face. it is believed that he does not HAVE one, and that his eyes are merely balls of power held by mystical forces.
There were several situations during landing parties, where a physical shot from a combustion-powered weapon(Hand guns, etc.) simply went right through him.
Considered extremely hazardous.

Commander: "What in the hell?"
Captain: "This is the real reason we were sent to shadow the fleet. We had been assigned to monitor Loren, and Reid, however they were not what starfleet was worried about. There are more like this on that ship. This is why starfleet knew they were in trouble when the Devange, the Fairview, and the Icarus rebelled."
Commander: "..."
Captain: "Exactly."

Earth, Admiral Bates' Office
Admiral Bates paced around, rather afraid, considering the data he had on some of the "Hickory"'s crew.
The power behind that force of vengance and want for lost honor was terrifying... perhaps he should have listened to Loren when she asked starfleet to pull out.
Admiral Bates knew from the moment the creature died, that he was in trouble.
Especially since the Council didn't believe his story about the three ships attempting to hijack the creature, for thier own dark purposes.

-U.S.S. Hickory-

Cole suddenly woke up and lookeed down to were the pain was, to find a big hoel in his stoomuch and he fainted at the sight again.

Corridor:

With a few last exhausted heaves, Laurent pulled the FAR to tall commander into sickbay

Sickbay:

"DAMNIT DOC, I NEED YOU HERE NOW!"


Bridge:

Random Helm ensign: "All systems repaired... the damage wasn't extensive.... just broadband... it's working now... except we can't find the captain, or the first officer. Engineering is replacing the force-glass in the captain's quarters.
Senior on staff: "Confirmed. I believe Laurent took the first officer to sickbay."

[Admiral Dani�l]

The Doctor ran into Sickbay

-Sickbay-
''That isn't a little wound!, stand back captain.''
He moved a medical tricorder over the commander and feeled that this whas a wound with a sideeffect.
''Bad news, he is infected by some sort of thing.''
He then spoke:''Curaso''
The commander whas healed, but still infected

-U.S.S. Hickory, Sickbay-

Steve then woke up again and felt relief for a moment and then his lungs shook and he spoke: "Lungs. *Cough Cough* Cant Breathe uhhh"

[Admiral Dani�l]

''Just what I expected, he is infected with a virus what is blocking his breathing, I need to operate him now.''
The Doctor putted the captain on a distance, he then began the operation.
He injected the commander so he would be unconsius.

5 hours later...
The Doctor had removed the virus with great risk by almost killing the commander, he then sealed the wound with ''Sealio''.

1 hour later...
''Ok captain, I think it's safe to wake him now.''
The Doctor injected the commander to let him wake up.
''Commander, are you there?''
