Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I watched the midnight viewing of HP & TGOF last night. WOW!! What a great movie!! I think it's my favorite so far. I have a few issues with important details being left out... but overall it was such a good movie. I Can't wait to see it again.

I might see it, unfortunately I haven't really been into Harry Potter for a while now. I read the Order of the Phoenix only once, and don't remember a thing from it and I don't have the Half-Blood Prince. I'll still try to see the movie.

I like the movies, hate the books. I'm far from a fan of Harry Potter, but I enjoy the movies and will be seeing this new one at some point.

I don't like the Harry Potter movies, but I will probably go see it anyways because alot of my friends are going.

It was okay, excellent if you haven't read the books. I felt that some characters like Madame Maxime for example were very poorly cast, I hate the new Dumbledore too!!! I can't believe they left out the Quiddich World Cup.. that will not be forgiven on my part... but the CGI at the end is undeniably the most fabulous thing I have ever seen....

Um... They were at the World Cup in like the second or third scene. It was like a 20 minute scene from arriving to discovering the dark mark.

I watched it yesterday. Its a good movie. Better then the third. Its totally different from the first and the second though, its more action and horror orientated.

Didn't like the new Dumbledore though, he seems more like a aggressive man now then a nice, old, wise man.

I am not going to watch Harry Potter movies or read the books. In my opinion I just think it is just boring and pointless.

We saw it Saturday, as our usual Saturday-after-Thanksgiving movie. I thought it was okay. I really only liked the last 30 minutes. I thought the rest was quite slow for the most part. It was okay, but definitely not the best of the 4.

I saw HP IV the day after it came out, and I ADORED IT! I especially like McGonagall's character in the books, and Dame Maggie just does a breath-taking job at playing her!!!!! LOVE MAG! Anyway, this was my fave of all the books and its film counterpart satisfied me quite well! I loved this one of the set......the movies just get better and better! One negative comment: I CANNOT STAND RICHARD HARRIS's REPLACEMENT FOR DUMBLEDORE! ON MY NERVES THE WHOLE TIME! *growls* No one can ever outdo Richard Harris.

Something I noticed about the Harry Potter movies is that you can totally spot all of the expert actors and actresses, I mean the seasoned pros....like Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, Alan Rickman, etc. Gary Oldman was in this HP movie, too......all of them just sort of show up Radcliffe, Watson, and Grint.....oh Jason Isaacs, the actor that plays Lucius Malfoy---he's brilliant! Love his eyes! The kids are all still too.......raw.....especially Radcliffe. I can't seem to take him and his no-lens glasses seriously. Anywhoooo........I wasn't intimidated by Voldemort...I'd always imagined him with a darker, more morbid air about him.........whatever..........the movie was still the best one of the HPs that have been made....

Well, one of the points my sister made to me about the acting was that they weren't actors to begin with, and they reacted in ways that were age appropriate. I haven't seen the fourth movie, but I have seen the other three and read all of the books.

And no one could replace the other Dumbledore. Problem is, the actor is dead (may he rest in peace). They probably did the best they could. Especially since they needed to keep the movies rolling (don't want Harry, Ron, and Hermionie to grow up too fast...)

I liked the new Dumbledore, personally. Then again, I'm not an avid reader of the books. I read the first one and stopped there, but I like the movies.
However, I suppose that to an avid reader and fan of the books the choices for actors aren't necessarily the best.

Best they could? Bah!!! If they had wanted to do the best they could, they would have hired Ian McKellan... I am NOT biased from being an avid LotR fan, he would be just PERFECT IMO... I miss Richard Harris.. *pouts*

Oh, and earlier, I meant that they skipped the actual match... I didn't sleep through the first 20 mins you know!

I think that the acting is great, aside from the new Dumbledore, and I must again reiterate my diasppointment in Mme. Maxime... I think the kids are wonderful!!!! Heh, I could be really nitpicky and complain thet Hermione's hair is nowhere near as frizzy as it should be... lol!!!
