Story:
Deep Space Nine is now a center of peace. Bajor is nearing entering the Federation, Cardassia is rebuilding from the war, and the Dominion has secluded them selves into the Gamma Quadrant. The Nautolian Emperium has declared war on the Federation. But Starfleet will not abandon its original mission: exploration. With this, Starfleet decided to reassign the USS Defiant to deep space recon, due to the cloaking device given by the Romulans. The Beta Quadrant has remained largely unexplored. Starfleet Command decided to continue the mission of exploration there, instead of the once more war-torn Alpha Quadrant. Many dangers lay in wait, including the Romulans, Breen, Girgori and other unknowns. This is why the USS Defiant was requested. With its cloaking device and being one of the most powerful ships in the fleet, it is more than a match for the Beta Quadrant. The Defiant would go to the Beta Quadrant, after it reported in to a station on the edges of the federation space. There, the mission would start after additional crew board. This situation is called--- Deep Space Guardian. After assisting the station crew against the Nautolians and their brutal leader, Sit Fito, the Defiant is ready to enter space once more. Captain Sisko and the crew of DS9 once walked those halls; now a new generation of Starfleet officers will take the Helm and go boldly where no one has gone before...

User: Lord Borg
Name: TSa
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown
Species: Vulcan
Rank: Captain
Position: Commanding Officer of USS Defiant
Bio: TSa was born on Vulcan, to Sevul, and TSel. She grew up, with the typical interest in sciences. She endured a traumatic experience at the age of 8, one which she does not often like to discuses. The results afterwards, despite intensive therapy TSa was never able to completely recover. As a consequence, she was never able to completely control her emotions, and has been known, to attempt at humor. She has also been known to call close ones, by first name in private. She went to the Vulcan science academy, and afterwards to Starfleet. Her first posting, where, she served for many years, was at Deep Space Seven. There, she met, and logically became friends with Thomas A Xavier. He served in the command division, while her, in the science. Not long after TSa arrived, Thomas roused through the ranks and eventually reaching command of the station. She was eventually promoted to Chief Science Officer. Shortly after taking command, Ian Xavier was born. TSa, being close to Thomas, developed a similar relation ship with his son Ian, even teaching him in the areas of sciences. Eventually, 18 years later, Ian was ready to join Starfleet. TSa was one of several supporting officers, and this allowed Ian to join Starfleet. TSa was pleased to see Ian was posted on the station, after his graduation. She continued to serve, and after carful thinking, left when a first officer position became available. TSa continued to serve on the Alaska, even during the Dominion war. After the end, Tsa stayed on, eventually becoming captain. Then the War broke out at Elerra Prime. TSa requested a transfer to the station, but was denied by Starfleet. The end came when the station was destroyed. TSa was devastated to hear Thomas had died. Her closest friend, one who helped her many times when she was in need of the emotional support, had died. TSa went to earth for the funeral, and got to see Ian again. Afterwards, TSa took time off from Starfleet, not knowing if she ever intended to return. Starfleet offered her the Defiant, which had been re assigned and refitted, for a deep space recon mission due to its cloaking device.

First Officer:

User:Founder
Name: Eqan
Gender: Unknown (Presumably Male)
Age: 44
Species: Chameloid
Rank: Commander
Position: First Officer onboard the USS Defiant
Bio: Born on a Federation colony, Hakton VII, in the Demilitarized Zone. He knows very little of his real family. He was raised by Human colonist. When asked about his past, they could offer very little. When he was a baby, he was left at their doorstep with a small PADD. It simply stated his name and what he was. Eqan was a Chameloid, An almost mythological species to the Federation. They have the ability to transform into any humanoid species, but not an inanimate object like a Founder. He was raised with the Human family and then adopted the Human form. His family was originally from Scotland on Earth and he even absorbed their accents. His family kept his secret about him being a Chameloid. They didn't want to risk him being treated differently and even unfairly. Eqan grew up amongst the mix of Human and Cardassian colonists. He tried to stay out of the struggle of the monoforms, although he was a little biased towards the Humans, due to his parentage. His parents discouraged him from joining Starfleet due to their anger about the treaty with the Cardassians. Eqan instead joined the Maquis a year after it was created. He exposed what he was to them and the Maquis used his shape shifting skills to the max. He was famous for infiltrating a Cardassian colony, posing as Gul Evek. Eqan succeeded in his mission and helped destroy the barracks in the colony. The Cardassians joined the Dominion and wiped out the Maquis. Eqan returned to his home colony and went into hiding. The Dominion traced the Maquis refugees to the planet and destroyed over half the colony. They murdered Eqan's parents, even though they were not Maquis. He shape shifted into a Vorta and fled the planet on a Dominion shuttle. Eqan had no where to turn with his parents dead and the Maquis wiped out. All he had was the Federation. He went to Earth and quickly joined Starfleet. Eqan dedicated his time to his studies so he could quickly be assigned to a ship. He posed as a Human throughout the Academy, but when he finally was posted onto a ship, he revealed to Starfleet what he was. Eqan was then put into a special intelligence unit in Starfleet. He was sent to infiltrate various Dominion facilities, ships, and stations. Eqan succeeded in every mission he was sent. He rose through the ranks quickly and by the end of the war, he was a Lt. Commander. Eqan was on Cardassia during the battle over Cardassia. He had been trapped there when the Dominion pulled their entire forces there. The Chameloid was posing as a Vorta and trying to gain information. Weyoun, the head Vorta on the Cardassia, discovered what he was and sentenced him to death. As he was being led to die by Cardassians, he was freed when a riot broke out. The Cardassians gave a loud cry saying "For Cardassia!!!!" and joined the riot. Eqan shape shifted into a Cardassian Vole and kept to the shadows. After several hours he regained his Human form and found the war to be over. The Dominion had been defeated. He returned to Earth and was promoted for his time on Cardassia. Eqan was made Commander and assigned to the USS Defiant.

Second Officer/Chief Engineer:

User: Squiggy
Name: Loren Van den Haus
Gender: Female
Age:
Species: Vierra
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Position: Second Officer/Chief Engineer
Bio: Loren was never one to follow the mainstream. On her home planet, Vierra were very rarely heard from, because they stayed mostly to thier own. Rather rabbit-like women, the Vierra have a strong technical inclination. Starfleet academy was rather amused at first, when a Vierra put in a seating request, but Loren's first year thesis shocked most of the scientific community, when it proved correct. Now considered an expert at shielding, she once had her own command. However, she lost her vessel during the dominion war rescuing the IDJ-Devange from a rather difficult dominion encounter. She was charged with loss of Starfleet property due to failure to adhere to Starfleet battle directives. Her crew was rescued from an escape pod approximately 3.5 months later

Chief Tactical/Security:

User: Micteth-Son of Udas
Name: Daro Rixx
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Species: Bolian
Rank: Lieutenant Commander
Position: Chief Security/Tactical
Bio: Daro was born on the home world of the Bolians, Bolarus IX, while he was young he and his older brother, Tidus, were always together and almost always getting into trouble with the neighbors. They would sneak around there area, employing what most of the neighbors would jokingly call stealth tactics. While growing up Starfleet sparked Tidus's interests which soon lead Daro to join Starfleet after Tidus had joined. Daro felt well at home in security while his older brother had moved onto the marines, sometimes Daro regrets not joining the marines, even more so of learning of his brothers recent death, it hit Daro hard but has not hindered his work in anyway

Chief Medical:

User: Exalya
Name: Kayal Aylin
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Species: Bajoran/Cardassian
Rank: Lieutenant J.G.
Position: Chief Medical Officer, USS Defiant
Bio: Aylin was born to Gul Denal and Kayal Tai during the occupation. Denal and Tai lived in secret on Terok Nor with their daughter until she was 8 years old. Tai was found out by one of the other officers aboard the station, and in haste to save his daughter, Denal ushered Aylin to Bajor and shunted her into an orphanage. He loved Aylin, but knew he could not bear to see her killed, as her mother was shortly after she was caught. Aylin was adopted soon after by a Bajoran family in the Kendra Valley. Aylin never really got along with them--she had been exceedingly happy on Terok Nor despite her imposed exile, and did not take well to the incessant preaching of the Prophets that the Ajal family placed upon her. She was bright, and by the end of the occupation, had studied more than almost any other child her age. She later trained in medicine on one of the few institutions on Bajor, apprenticed by a former resistance fighter. She was deep in her studies when Bajor joined the Federation, and put in for a transfer to Starfleet Medical, where she completed her studies at the age of 26 and was gifted with the position of CMO aboard the Defiant. Aylin has kept the name her mother gave her, and in doing so kept the reminder of what she is--the daughter of a Gul and a courageous Bajoran woman who loved her dearly. She has an unusually scientific view of the world, and takes a careful approach to other officers. Clipped and precise, Aylin is still trying to find herself, even while she has found her niche in biology and medicine.

Chief Science:

User: USS Voyager
Name: Marvin Haliwell
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Species: Betazoid
Rank: Lieutenant
Position: Chief Science Officer
Bio: Marvin Haliwell grew up on Betazed young and free until reaching the age of 13 when the domion invaded his planet, his parents got him to a shuttle and just as he was inside 5 domion troops caught them by surprise killing them on the spot in front of him, Marvin had no choice but to close the shuttle doors and fly out of the atmosphere, between then and reaching normal space he found away of avoiding the domion defense net using the stellar cartography console on the shuttle and managed to escape to the most habitable planet called "earth", and from then on has loved Studying planets, races and even science. When Marvin was old enough he joined Starfleet Command, and studied science for 4 years and has had assignments on many ships one of them was on the starship U.S.S Destiny Star and the ship was damaged badly damaged by the domion attacking the Jupiter Station. Most of the crew were dead or injured severely, he was the only one still in tip to shape he then saved Jupiter Station from the domion and was commended on this, his next one is on U.S.S Defiant as Chief Science officer

Chief Conn/Helm:

User: Alucard
Name: Justin Card
Gender: Male
Age: 29
Species: Human
Rank: Lieutenant
Position: Chief Helm/Ops officer
Bio: Justin was born on Earth, into a starfleet family. Justin's parents had pressured him into being the "perfect son". Justin didn't like the idea of being a "perfect son", and he let his parents know it. He rebelled in as many was as he could, cutting his hair in the manner it was cut, Dressing in pure black, and listening to "evil music". Justin was always fascinated by Space, and even though it went against his "rebellion" he joined Starfleet. He took the easiest course: The Helm. Justin had always been able to fly well, so he thought it would be a cakewalk. He was wrong. His marks were always below 60, and soon his teachers came to talk to him about it. They convince him to up his marks and he soon become the best student in his classes. He passed and was soon recognized by Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise. He was soon the backup helmsman on that vessel, and befriended Data, the android. Him and Data talked often about being different, because the human wanted to be as different from everyone else, yet the Android strived to be what he was. Justin was then promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade, and was transferred to The USS Thunderchild, an Akira class ship. The chief helm officer of that ship was killed in the Dominion War, and Justin took over as chief, and was soon promoted to full Lieutenant, but he was always at edge with his captain. Justin was offered the job for helm of the Defiant, and immediatly accepted, hoping that this captain would be as good as Picard.

Stardate: 57815.45: Former Starfleet Commander Sit Fito, now known as Lord Obsidian, leads a brutle attack on the federation space station Deep Space Guardian in an attempt to take the station to use it for a HeadQuarters for the newly founded Nautolian Empire. While one Captain Ian Xaiver leads the battle on the inside, Defiant's own Captain T'Sa, leads the fight on the outside..... Againts over welming odds.....

~Space~
Cardassian, Nautolian, and Koinian ships were fleeing the sector. The order had been given by Lord obsidian, after he realized that he would not get the station in his control. Defiant came under attack by some of the passing ships.

~Defiant, Bridge~
The Bridge shook from the weapons fire. The fleeing ships flew past the view screen. The Defiant had to make some manuvers to avoid getting hit. A voice rang out from one of the science stations.

"Captain, there is a fighter leaving the station. I am reading a Nuatolian life sign on board. The fighter has set a course for out of the system."

T'Sa thought a moment. Then made a decision.

"Helm, pursuit course, full impulse. Tactical, fire when in range."

~Space, Defiant~
Defiant came up behind the fighter. The pulse phaser's fired, but kept missing the target. The fighter was on it's orgional course, not making any noticible course changes. Defiant fired again, with the same resualts.

~Defiant, Bridge~
T'Sa looked at the screen. She found it illogical that the weapons could miss this much.

"Report"

The officer at tactical shook his head.

"I don't understand Captain, everything reads as fine on the computer, but it's like something throws the weapons off their target when they are fired."

T'Sa looked at the screen. Just who exactly was in the cockpit of that fighter?

~Space, Defiant and Fighter~
The Fighter continued on, and fired three torpedos. The torpedo caused three blue explosions on impact.

~Defiant, Bridge~
The bridge shook hard from the impact of the torpedos. A voice spoke.

"Shields are down, torpedos are offline."

Another spoke.

"There are still some fighters near the station attempting to flee. There are Federation fighters in distress."

T'Sa sighed inside.

"Reverse course, take us back to the station."

The helm officer turned and looked at T'Sa

"Captain?"

T'Sa locked eyes with the officer.

"Do I need to repeat my self?"

The officer stared back for a moment, then shook his head.

"No sir, reversing course for the station."

T'Sa looked at the image on screen. Chunks of the station were missing. Debries flew everywheres. Bodies were in space. T'Sa's heart sank inside when she saw that some could only have been civilians....

One Day Later...
Stardate: 57818.19

~Deep Space Guardian, Ops~
T'Sa walked around slowly on Ops. People had worked all though the night to remove the bodies. But the blood was still there. In some areas, it was still wet. The smell of blood and death was still there to. T'Sa had gone, only to see what had happend. She could not belive second hand accounts. She felt her self sink inside. She could feel the surfering that happened here. Just by looking at the walls and the floors. T'Sa walked thought the promenade. Aside from a few starfleet officers at work, no one was there. The ships were all closed. Some were even destroyed. The stations sickbays were full, so was the hospital ship Hippocratic Oath. T'Sa turned a steped into a half destroyed resteruant, named The Badlands There was scorching on the wall from weapons fired. Blood splatter from bladed weapons. T'Sa was about to turn and leave when a voice spoke.

"Turn around slowly."

T'Sa did as she was told. The voice sounded dead seriouse. When T'Sa finally turned, she saw a Phaser rifle pointed at her head. It was held by a security officer...

...T'Sa made sure to make no sudden moves. The Security officer's finger was right on the trigger. The officer spoke.

"Who are you? You are not authorized to be in this section."

T'Sa stayed perfectly still when she replied.

"I am Captain T'Sa of the Def--"

She was cut off by the officer.

"Quiet. Move out slowly."

T'Sa looked at the man, then started to step out. Another voice spoke.

"What are you doing?"

Another officer walked up. The first answered.

"I found an unautherized in The Badlands"

The second scoffed.

"You found Captain T'Sa in The Badlands you mean."

The First looked over to the second security officer. Second continued.

"She's my captain. Trust me, she's no 'Unautherize"

The first looked at T'Sa for a second, then lowered his weapon.

"My apollogies."

T'Sa nodded respectfully.

"You were just doing your job."

The officer nodded, then started to leave. T'Sa spoke up.

"Wait, have you seen Captain Xaiver?"

First shook his head.

"I'm sorry Captain, I have not. You may want to try OPS, rumor has it he locked him self in his office yesterday."

T'Sa nodded, and the men were on their way. T'Sa went to the turbolift and steped inside.

"OPS"

The computer did a broken buzz in response, and the lift started on it's way. The trip took a little longer then normal, but eventually the lift arrived. The doors opend, and T'Sa steped out. An officer walked over to the Captain.

"Evening Ma'am, is there something I can do for you?"

T'Sa replied to the officer.

"Is Captain Xaiver here?"

The Officer pointed to Xaiver's office. T'Sa nodded and steped towards the door.

"Good luck" the man muttered.

T'Sa stoped and looked at the man for a second. just what did that mean? No matter. There were more important things to attend to. T'Sa went to the door, and rang the chime.

-DSG, Captain's Office-

The doors opened with the familiar swoosh. OPS was in utter ruins, but strangely enough the doors worked perfectly. The room was extremely dark. Ian's form could be barely made out sitting in the seat. The chair was facing a window behind his desk. He was staring out into space. Staring at the graveyard that surrounds his once proud station. Ian's chair slowly swerved around to face T'Sa. His combadge was at the edge of the desk. He didn't have his black and grey overcoat over his red shirt. A small light from a corner in the room allowed only his eyes to be seen. His brown eyes stared at the Vulcan Captain. Instead of the calmness that usually emitted from them, pain was seen. He didn't say one word, but simply stared at T'Sa. Almost as if he was expecting her or Archer to face him. She couldn't see due to the darkness, but Ian looked terrible. Not only from the stress and the battle, but he never left the office. He didn't sleep or eat. He only sat there and thought the entire night. A quiet sigh escaped his throat. Ian waited for T'Sa to speak, he simply had nothing to say.

-DSG, Guardian City-

Hundreds of thousands of civilians crowded into the city area of the station. It was dark except for the glow of the red alert lights. Civilians sat in fear wondering if any more Imperial forces would try to force their way in. Security and Marines were holding them off, but slowly dieing. The screams, phaser blasts, and lightsaber hums finally faded out. Things were quiet. An officer walked through the crowded area. People were literally sitting on the floors, some asleep. These were the lucky ones. The civilians trapped on the Promenade were more than likely killed. Starfleet officers not assigned to the station were also evacuated into here, including Commander Eqan. He looked around and sighed sadly. The Chameloid came onboard a shuttle days ago. He was assigned to be the new First Officer on the USS Defiant. The Defiant was scheduled to stop at DSG for repairs and to take on additional crew. It never showed up though. Then all hell broke loose. Apparently the Commander of the station had gone beserk and attacked the crew with an army of the strange race; Nautolians, the sister race of them; Koinians, and an old enemy of the Federation; Cardassians. Everything happened so fast. So many had died. He had seen it on the way to the locked down city. It was a tragedy. It reminded him of the death of his parents by the brutal Cardassians. He hated them so much. They never could stop their evil quest for power. If it was up to him, he would have Starfleet conquer their homeworld. Eqan sighed and saw a small boy, of an unknown race, shivering in the cold. Eqan knelt to him and offered a friendly smile.

"Hello," He said in his thick Scottish accent, "Are you cold?"

The little alien nodded his head. Eqan walked over to a Security officer trying to hand out Federation rations and thermal blankets. He took one and brought it back to the little alien.

"There you go." He said.

The alien took it and wrapped it around itself. It had three mouths and smiled with all of them. Eqan returned one of the smiles and stood up. He continued on past all of the people trapped in there. During the battle, he had seen the Defiant through a port hole. The small ship was simply brilliant. It kept fighting no matter the damage it took. The crew was astounding and the ship was strong and nimble. Eqan envied that they were able to fly the ship during this battle. He saw the ship had survived the battle and he may get the chance soon. Eqan laughed to himself at a memory of the Maquis. Thomas Riker, Transporter duplicate to William Riker, almost stole the Defiant for the Maquis.

"Ah the old days..." He said to himself.

~DSG, Captain's Office~

T'Sa scanned the room. Ian was in his chair. She could barly make that out. The light shined on his eyes, told T'Sa the man was in pain. Not physical, but much, much worse. Emotional pain. Mental pain. Despite her Vulcan training, she could not help but feel for Ian. She also had no idea what to Say to him. What does one say to someone at a moment like this?

"Ian..."

T'Sa puased. She was not sure if he would respond.

"Ian..., it's T'Sa."

Ian shifted in his seat slightly to the left. He did not respond to her statment quickly. He only stared at her or rather through her, not directly looking at anything. His mind was not even there. Ian's mind was still in the holodeck, fighting Fito. He had a chance to kill him. A part of him wishes he could go back and actually finish the job, but he couldn't now. Fito was long gone. Fleeing in one of the Nautolian capitol ships back to his space to plot against the Federation. Ian, finally showing some form of movement, slammed his fist on the desk in anger.

"I let him get away," Ian whispered in the darkness, "A war is about to erupt and it is my fault."

His eyes stared back at her calm Vulcan eyes.

"Then again," He said, "I guess you would say that self pity is irrelevant?"

T'Sa pursed her lips to resopned, but instead justed let out what sounded like a sigh. She thought for a moment. T'Sa was genuinly concerned for Ian. He was in a wallow of self pity. T'Sa understood of course, she despite being vulcan, would probably feel the same.

"Perhaps one would logicly say that. I, will not."

T'Sa took a couple steps foward. The pain she saw in his eys. The Terrible pain.

"Ian, I will say, that to blame your self is illogical. How can you blame your self? You fought him did you not? The station, is it not still under your command?"

-DSG, Captain's Office-

Ian stared at his combadge that sat on his desk. It brought back a terrible memory of Aurora's death. The man had given his life to try and stop Fito. He placed his combadge into Ian's hand right before he died.

"At what cost?" Ian asked, addressing her question, "I don't even know the death toll. A part of me doesn't want to even know. I should have seen it. That green tyrant sat under my nose, plotting. All this time. He was manipulative. Maybe I didn't want to see it? I don't know..."

Ian slammed his fist into the desk repeatedly. He stood up and kicked a small display device of various types of stations. A K-7 station dropped onto the marble desk and cracked. He breathed hard and fell back into his seat in a clumsy manner. Ian was unable to get a solid grip on the chair and slid off of it onto the floor. His fist was throbbing from the pain, as was his leg.

"The Federation isn't prepared for another war," He said nervously, beginning to panick, "The station can't survive another onslaught. If Fito comes back.... the station will be destroyed. My father's legacy...gone. All of it...."

Tears fell from his face at the thought.

"I've failed..." He whispered.

-DSG, Guardian City-

Eqan wondered when he would be let of this area. There was very little he could do at that point. What was needed was medical officers, not command officers. He had a phaser clipped to his side. Phasers were issued to all Starfleet officers during the attack. Eqan went with the civilians to protect them. Now he wished he hadn't. He would be stuck he forever. The shape-shifting officer walked over to a security officer who was guarding a turbolift. He stood at attention when he noticed Eqan.

"Can I help you sir?" He asked.

Eqan nodded his head.

"Aye you can lad," He said, "We've been cooped up here for hours. When are you going to bloody let us go?"

The officer looked nervous. He didn't want to upset the Commander, but he had his orders.

"No one is to leave this deck sir," He said, "Until everything is sorted on the station and all invading forces have been forced out."

Eqan groaned inwardly. A pencil neck officer was telling him how it was going to be.

"Under whos orders?" He asked.

The officer started to get annoyed. He stood stiffly and no longer looked Eqan in the eye.

"Lt. Commander. Robitaille," He said curtly, "Chief of Security on Deep Space Guardian."

Eqan nodded his head.

"Well I wouldn't want to go over his authority," He said, "But I outrank him Ensign, as I do you. You will let me pass."

The officer looked conflicted. Commander Eqan was his superior, but he didn't want to risk endangering the officer's life by letting him go. Especially when he had orders not to.

"I"m sorry sir," He said, "But for your own protection, I can not let you go. At least let the security patrols check in and I will tell you..."

He almost had a pleading look on his face, as if he wanted to compromise with the man. Eqan sighed and turned away. Time to make things interesting. He moved to an even darker area, away from the red alert lights, in total darkness. Eqan remembered the image of Blake Robitaille from the crew manifest. He was fortunate to have browsed through it with another officer. The Commander was trying to study the DSG transfer officers to the Defiant. The DSG crew was mixed in with the list. This is why his shape-shifting abilities came in handy. He brought up the image to his mind. Every detail. As many as he could remember. His face contorted to the exact likeness of Blake. His body grew a little taller to match his height. Well...the approximate height. Eqan wished he had seen him in person. He would have had a better likeness. The voice would be a problem. He had never heard Blake speak before. There was no way he could do a likeness of his voice. The Chameloid walked out of the shadows, wearing the gold undershirt for security. He stepped in front of the officer. The officer turned his head with a bored look on his face, but it changed to surprise when he saw "Blake".

"Sir!" He said, "Wha-I was not told you would be here. Are you ok? I heard it was a slaughter on the Promenade..."

Eqan nodded his head, but said nothing. The officer wondered why Blake looked rather...tall. Then again, that didn't matter.

"What do you need sir?" He asked, "We have some Security and Marine officers itching for a fight..."

Blake pointed to him and then pointed to an upper level. The officer looked up and realized "Blake" wanted him to go up there.

"Understood sir," He said, "Shall I post Ensign Rosseau here?"

The doppleganger shook his head. The security officer nodded and moved to the other position. Once he was another face in the crowd, Eqan entered the turbolfit and reverted to his Human, normal Human, form.

"All too easy," He said to no one, "Docking level."

The turbolift slowly made its way upwards.

~Deep Space Guardian, Captain's Office~

T'Sa was alarmed to see Ian bang his fist repeaditly on his desk. When Ian fell down to the floor, T'Sa instinctivly steped foward. She heard him speak of Thomas Xavier, a mentor, a friend, and of his legacy. T'Sa knelt down next to Ian.

"Your Father's Legacy? Ian, it is more then a station. Belive me, I know this. It would be illogical for Fito, to come back here. He has lost his chance to take thie station the first time. I doubt he would a second.

T'Sa reached out for Ian.

"Ian... you cannont let you're self belive that you failed. A great price has indeed, been paid for keeping this station. Now, this station need's it's leader."

I was in Science Labratory working on stellar crotography.. I'd like to think it that the Science Lab was my own private domain. And sometimes it was and sometimes it wasnt.. And today it was my own domain!

Computer, Seal the stellar crotography doors and play emh music 4 alpha!

The computer agreed as always and the doors sealed and the music played..
↕Paris please find away to load a hypospray, i will give you the sign just aim for his behind etc...↕

Ah home sweet Science lab!.

I Loved it when it was my own domain and i was the only one working in the science lab, i could listen to my favourite music, study planets, ships etc.. with no disturbances.

((Well i take it that i can post as daro and harfin now, ill say Daro is helping Harfin in HQ))

Harfin Dicot was in his office at Marine HQ when Daro Rixx entered.
"Got a new toy i see" Daro said with a light haerted tone, harfin was still mad about the hole situwation and currently had a combadge in his fingers, and a lightsaber on his desk.

"Yea we managed to take a few prisoners during the fight, one of them was holding onto this for dear life. I relevied him of it, and a good part of his arm too." Harfin said in a cold tone. Daro was a little taken back but knew the deal, dont ask questions. Daro heard a muffled scream coming from somwhere down in the HQ. Harfin smiled, daro looked at Harfin.

"We are pursuading them to give us information" Harfin said with a joking tone. Daro nodded his head and decided to return to the defiant. Daro entered the Turbo lift and ordered it to the defiants docking bay.once at the airlock he entered the defiant, wwnt to his office. and looked over some reports

DSG- Engineering

Lt. Cmndr Loren Van den Haus:

With an amused little smirk on her face, Loren skittered through the days' repair lists.
"Hmmm... Captain's Quarters replicator needs repairing.. that can go on the "Priority List"... Warp core maintenance... wow.. there's a shocker... the cook blew thirteen circuits trying to cook something called "Plomeek Soup"... well... best start yelling at crew members and gettin some work done."
Loren gets up, stretches, scratches her rabbit-ears, and starts chewing out random ensigns on coffee breaks.

DSG - Ops

Aylin was in the turbolift, hands curled around the PADD in her hand. Doctor Shoran had gone. Inexplicably, quickly and silently, the doctor had disappeared. Aylin was troubled to that end. Aia and she had gotten along so well, they worked as one. With Aia gone, Aylin took over Aia's duty in reporting. The other doctors were busy tending the dead and dying in sickbay for the moment, she was content to leave it to them. But where did that woman go...

She arrived at ops and surveyed the room. She hadn't been to DSG before this, but even so she could feel the loss, the sense of pain that tainted the corridors. It made her stomach churn to think of the carnage that had been wrecked in these rooms. Trying not to think about it--or not to think at all--she hesitantly approached the Captain's office and rang.

Ian was about to respond to T'Sa's statement, when a chime at the door interrupted. He sighed and pulled himself up into the seat.

"I'm sorry mentor," He said, calling her by a name he used to use, "I don't know whats come over me..."

He didn't want to respond to the door yet, but knew he should.

"Enter." He said in a quiet voice.

Aylin stepped through. She nodded briskly to T'Sa, and approached Ian. The man looked distaught, and she could hardly blame him. She held out the PADD, biting her lip. "I wanted to bring you the medical reports, sir. And...I had a question regarding your Chief Medical Officer. Was she beamed aboard another starfleet vessel I wasn't aware of? I haven't been able to check with the Hippocratic Oath, but I guess it's a possibility...I just thought they might have checked with us, first."

Ian looked up at her in surprise. He wasn't even aware that Shoran was missing. The Captain took the report from her hand but tossed it aside on the desk.

"I have no idea," He said, "I thought she was under guard on the Defiant."

T'Sa's eyes went wide. Beamed! during a crises? that made no sense at all. It was illogical to beam a doctor away from sickbay in time of crises, especialy with out warning.

Aylin coughed. She'd forgotten that part. "Oh. Well, you see, the guards left us, and Aia and I...we knew DSG would need out help, so we beamed over. But Doctor Shoran didn't do anything," she added quickly, "I was with her the whole time. All we did was treat patients. If she hadn't been there, the death toll would've been far higher."

-DSG, Captain's Office-

All of that information was so sudden. He didn't even know that Shoran had been on the station during that mess. Now she was missing? At the time that Fito fled? Either she was among the huge list of dead, beamed to one of the other allied ships, or with Fito. Ian tended to beleive the latter. But was she with him by force or choice? That was the ultimate question. He was about to respond when his combadge rang out.

"OPS to Captain Xavier." An Ensign called out.

Ian flashed an annoyed look to no one in particular. He tapped his combadge.

"Xavier here," He said annoyed, "What is it?"

The officer replied quickly, knowing that Xavier was in no mood.

"Admiral Smith wishes to speak with you." He said.

Ian sighed. This was all he needed. Talking to Smith would only add to all the misery.. The man was demoted to Vice-Admiral due to evidence Ian brought to the Federation Council about Smith's rulings on Fito's trial.

"My computer was destroyed," Ian said looking at its remains on his desk, "Send it in my office through the Holocommunicator."

The ceiling in his office nearly caved in during the battle. His office looked horrible. He ran his fingers through is hair to at least look somewhat presentable. A holographic image of Smith appeared in the corner of the room. Ian didn't bother to send T'Sa or Aylin out of the room. He didn't care. Smith stared at Ian and smiled. The smile made Ian shiver. It was a haunting and creepy simultanesouly.

"You look horrible Xavier," He said, "I take it your...First officer did that?"

Ian was about to speak but Smith continued, not giving him a chance.

"You know I wanted justice to be brought to the filthy Nautolian," He said, "But did anyone listen to me? No. In fact, if I recall correctly an upstart Captain had me demoted..."

He gave acy stare towards Ian. Xavier had expected this to happen. Smith was angry but gleeful at the same time.

"Starfleet has yet to hear a report from you," He said, "We heard from Captain Picard, Archer, and others but not you. Care to explain how you let Fito escape?"

T'Sa had heard enough. There was no need of the insualts. She steped foward.

"Admiral, with all due respect. Captain exaiver did not 'Let Fito Escape'"

DSG:

Loren Van den Haus;

"Damnit Ensign! Those are not OUR transporter beams. Whose are they?"
Random Ensign: "I don't know Sir... Ma'am... Sir... Lt. Commander... *cough*captain*cough*"
An indignant look crosses Loren's face.
"Ensign, I am aware that my starfleet record, including my trial is available to all crewmembers. I am also aware that, as a Vierra, I am a bit of an amusement to you, but should you EVER, EVER insult me like that again, you will find that the doctor will not be able to locate all of your body parts, as I will keep a few for trophies, according to Vierra tradition. Do I make myself clear?"
Ensign: "Sorry Sir!"
"Now go find out who the hell those transporter beams are."
Ensign: "Aye Sir!"
Ahhh.... Nothing like good old fashioned threatening...

-DSG, Captain's Office-

Smith looked over at T'Sa.

"Excuse me Captain?" He asked, "With all due respect, I won't take your word for it. I'm well aware of the relationship you have with this...Captain. The fact of the matter is Fito escaped and a war is about to rage."

Ian didn't say anything. Smith was right about that. Fito escaped and Ian was to blame. The hologram looked back at Ian.

"To make things worse," He reported, "Deep Space Nine, Cardassia, Bajor, and the wormhole has fallen into Imperial hands. The Senior staff to DS9 have gone missing. Also, three Federation ships and a medical facility in Nautolian space have been destroyed."

Ian's eyes widened in shock. Bajor? The Wormhole? More Federation lives? Fito was a tyrant. He had to be stopped. Smith replied almost as if he was reading Ian's mind.

"The Federation council is deliberating on what to do as usual," He said, "Declaring war is the most likely option, but Starfleet is not in a position to do so at the moment. Chancellor Martok claims that the Klingon Empire can not go to war, because of dissention within the Empire. Romulus is controleld by the Tal Shiar and will not assist us. The Federaetion, still recovering from the Dominion war, has to fight this war alone which is going to be difficult."

Xavier did not realize things were so bad. With Romulus and Qo'noS not participating, things would be even worse.

"In addition to all that," He said, "Starfleet has very little information on the Nautolian race since they are so xenophobic. The ships near your station have been ordered to take as many debris back to Earth to be studied. In addition, the weapons and dead bodies of Nautolians and Koinians. We need more though. Something intact."

Ian wondered what else could be taken. The Nautolians had strange weapons, but nothing else. Their unique abilities as well. Ian remembered Harfin mentioning some Nautolians still on the station, but they were no doubt dead by then.

"Like what?" Ian asked.

Ian couldn't think of anything at the moment.

"Technology," He said simply, "Anything that was left intact of Fito's."

The Captain stared at the holographic image for a few moments. He tried to think of anything, but couldn't. Then he remembered something.

"Fito had a meditation chamber," Ian explained, "It was filled with Nautolian technology..."

Smith nodded his head.

"Excellant," He said, "Then get that onboard the Defiant and have it brought to Earth. We'll dissect and try to find some weakness. Smith out."

The hologram faded away. No good work or good thinking, although Ian didn't expect any more from Smith.

"Bajor..." Aylin breathed softly, wincing at the sound. They'd taken her homeworld, then. She was compelled to lash out, but at what, she wasn't sure. She closed her eyes, collecting her thoughts. "This is insanity."

Loren stared at the comm line that the computer had open to the captain.

"Bajor... The wormhole... what's next? Are they going to take Ivalice on the other side of the wormhole? They must be stopped. Ivalice can't stop fighting within itself.. the bangaa... the moogles... even the vierra... This must end. Here. And now. Ensign?"
Ensign: "Aye sir?"
"See that warp core? It needs maintenance. The problem is: We can't turn it off. I don't care HOW you do it, but I want that warp core fixed. Yesterday."
Ensign: *Sigh* "Aye sir."
The ensign and Lt. Commander Van den Haus wander off to attempt to inflict a maintenance routine on the warp core.
