On one side, this is really annoying to me, and I really am just tired of these elected Democrats whining on and on. However, at the same time, I am intrigued by this, and am curious about what this would turn up.

I'm sure Bush will be exonerated, if you will, but it's no doubt that it's really the Dems whining on and on about it, trying to get at Bush and impeach him, for the two reasons I stated before, like they've been trying to do with the leak case.
And Exalya, first, it's not a blame-game. It's the truth that this fight is being pushed forth by the Democrats to get at Bush, or at least trying to get at Bush. But I'm sorry, you're right. I was on a Democrat-trying-to-get-at-Bush high, if you will, like I sometimes get.
I understand your argument and respect it. I disagree with you entirely that the motives for the investigation aren't important, but I do agree with you that the outcome will be beneficial and prove, once and for all (or at least in the real world, not the Liberal "land of Oz) that Bush did not lie and that the intelligence seemed solid and that we were right to go into war. I concede to you the point of the outcome of the investigation, that it will be beneficial in many respects, but I do think that the motives were entirely political and anti-Bush (which is more than just a thought) and that they are important, because we wouldn't be having these further investigations without them. Plus, I like examining and analyzing the politics of these things, which is why I started talking about the politics behind it in the first place. Unlike you, I'm quite a truly political person, and I enjoy talking about the politics behind the intents of these types of things and have fun thinking about and discussing these. And that's really why I've been talking about it so much.
Again, in summary, I concede to you the outcome point, but still disagree with you on all the things about the intent and motivations behind this.

Well, apparently even Carter has now said that Americans were mislead about the war. I suppose this inquest is going to happen to matter what.

Don't you remember around the time of the election--the Democratic National Convention, even? I watched him, and he said that we were mislead them. This comes as no suprise, and is old news that really means nothing.

Well, he said it again, as well as that Bush's policies are a "radical departure from the policies of any president." If people like Carter are going to be supportive of this probe, then its obviously going to happen.

"People like Carter?" I don't think that makes a difference at all.--he's a rather far left person (like he sat next to Michael Moore at the convention). But of course this probe is going to go through. It already is, for all intents and purposes.

What I meant by "people like Carter" is that famous people are much more influential than ordinary people, so if Carter says so people are going to assume that sure, hes right.
