"I Don't Mind" Joquan said. Then he rembered.
"Actually, I haven't reported into sickbay for my check up yet."
Joquan scanned the room again. the lighting was somber. The room felt comfortable.

"Oh, well, then. Come." Arellia said, taking him by the arm and hauling him onto the biobed. She took out her tricorder, sighing. "I really hated getting this job," she said, surprising even herself for saying it. "I tried to get CMO, you know. They Captain tossed me the night job as a compensation prize. I'm... what was the word? 'Unmotivated.'" She shook her head, reading the tricorder carefully. "They couldn't argue with the work I have done, but apparently I don't meet the standards for having done enough."

Joquan chuckled.
"I know what you mean Doctor. My position was a 'Here, take this for compinstation' type of thing to. I dont let it get to me though. I will work as hard as i would if i was chief of security."
Joquan watched the tricorder pass over him.
"it is interesting though, I do wonder what made the captain decied this. I guess, we could still be considard Junior officers, what with our ranks."
Joquan trailed off. He sat and let the Doctor do her work.

Arellia nodded, thoughtfully punching the controls to log the results in her records. "'Junior Officer' seems pretty degrading." She closed the tricorder and headed for the panel on the wall, entering the results in Endil's records. "I'm working on my command courses. Pretty close to done, actually, besides a few formalities and the in-the-chair test. Just...haven't gotten to it yet." She smirked, "Which is the kind of thing that keeps me from being a Chief Medical Officer as opposed to the Night Girl." She shrugged, "Finished. All clear."

Joquan stood.
"I can help you if you want. We have to know some of these things to climb high in the security field. Especialy if your one of the head scurity officers and you work on the bridge to begin with."
Joquan did some streatches. He did them often. It helped with his fexability, and mobility. A major plus for a security officer.

Arellia looked over at Joquan and flashed him a quick smile. "I can't say I'd mind. I've gotten enough determination up to do it, it's just a matter of having the means." She tapped off of the screen and hoisted herself up on the biobed, rolling her shoulders a little. "You ever spar in the holodeck, Endil?"

Joquan chuckled.
"That's like asking a Klingon if he has ever had a pet Targ."
Joquan was joking. he loved to spar on the holodeck.
"Yes, I have, I do as often as I can actually."

She grinned wider, stretching her arms languidly. "Sounds like fun. Think you're good enough to take on the terror of the Lunar Colony?"

Joquan chuckled again. "I'm willing to give 'the terror of the Lunar Colony' a try."
Joquan knew right then and their, that the two were going to be more then people serving on the same ship. A friendship was blossiming. Joquan liked the thought of a friendship.
"What kind of program do you like to use?"

"I've taken a couple of programs off of some Klingons now and then. I've also been known to work with some 21st century street fighting programs. Was...well, I learned on the streets, originally. Not in such dark tones, but my skills are attuned to that kind of thing." She shrugged, making her way back to the desk, and pulled up her last nanotechnology project. "What's your preference?"

"The street fighting programs are always good. I also have ones I made that are in a feild. No one but the sparrers are their. the field is out in the middle of no where, and streatches for 'miles'"
Joquan sat back on the Bio bed. He had been standing for hours.
"I actually add things to the program constantly. Holo characters to spar againts. I even have the computer make characters, at random difficulty levels. Keeps you on your toes, reminds you that you never know what to expect."

-Bridge, OPS Station-
T'Ror noticed the Captain enter the bridge. He was surprised to see her there that late. She was not due for another four hours. He wanted to call out "Captain on deck!", but it seemed inappropriate at that moment. Especially since there were only a few other officers on the bridge. He stood tall at his console and continued to run minor scans. There was a small spike on energy readings with the warp core, but that happened frequantly. Nothing to be concerned about it. He ignored it and ran more snans.
(Is it okay that there was that small spike Exalya? I'll edit if you want.)

((OOC: That's actually good. No problem.))
Sickbay
Arellia nodded. She smirked a little, quietly drawing similarities between her father and Joquan. Her father had been a security officer as well, and had a keen sense of training and how it needed to be done. Joquan's style was very much in line with Del Forai's. "Well, my tactics are pretty...unorthodox. I think it might prove beneficial to both of us."

Joquan smirked.
"Unorthodox tactics? Interesting."
Joquan always liked it when people 'went againts the book'. To live strictly by the book seems... boaring. He did it for appearnces. but he had no problem being.... unorthodox.

Teran looked up from what he was doing when he noticed Tovek enter engineering. The first officer had approached the warp core controls and had inserted some sort of chip. Teran wondered why any additional parameters needed to be adjusted from remote data at this time, but decided that it would have been cleared with his chief. After Tovek left, Teran gave the matter little thought until he noticed a bulletin posted to all engineering officers.
Monitor warp core balance prior to entering Typhon Expanse. Don't adjust intermix levels unless absolutely necessary. Teran raised an eyebrow and walked over the warp core controls.
The console showed the intermix ratio--obiviously 1:1--and the levels of intermix currently present in the core. Everything looked normal . . . except that for some reason, there was more energy going into the EPS than coming out. . . .
Teran ran a quick trace on the energy usage and found out that a power feedback loop was building up in the warp coils. Excess electroplasma from the warp core had been shunted into both nacelles and the injectors locked at their current rate. In other words, the ship's engines had been stuck into this speed and risked a core overload. Teran reflected that it was amazing no one had realised this yet, the overload itself would quickly become apparent in a matter of minutes.
Naturally, this meant that unless they shut down the core while still at warp, the ship would explode. And if they shut down the core while still at warp, the ship might still explode. Teran decided that he would alert the bridge.
"Engineering to the bridge, this is Ensign Teran. I have detected a feedback loop in the warp coils that will cause a warp core overload in a matter of minutes if it is not stopped. We will have to perform an emergency shutdown of those systems."

Elizabeth jerked in her seat. The warp core? "Acknowledged, engineering...but...how the hell?"
She shook her head. The ship would be fine. She didn't need to worry. The ship would be just fine. As she was about to turn around to speak to the ops officer, Tovek entered the bridge. The brown-haired Vulcan was as composed as she remembered him last, and he sat in his designated chair.
"We have a problem with the warp core." Elizabeth explained quickly.
Tovek took in the knowledge slowly, "Very strange, considering we only just left dock. I assumed the ship checked out."
"Didn't we all," Elizabeth responded dryly. "Ops, was there any sign of an anomaly before this point?"
Sickbay
Arellia smiled a little and nodded, cracking her knuckles. "The only way to go," she said, placing a PADD in the desk drawer. She sighed, looking up at the ceiling. "I just hope this assignment goes better than my last."

Joquan chuckled. "Some trouble at your last assingment?"
Joquan figured as so, or perhaps it could have been the people she worked with. The Academy was like that for him. The people he was with were not the best to be with.

"Ah..." Arellia smirked, undoing her bun to release the long, waved hair down her back, before making an attempt at smoothing it and capturing the locks once more. "Dr. Denzi and I had some...personality conflicts. He had the tendency to grumble various things at me, so, of course, I responded with...well, force. The day I shelved him over the instrument table was the day I decided to resign."

-Bridge, OPS Station-
T'Ror jerked in surprise at the question. It wasn't often that a Captain would bother with a "lowly subordinate". He checked his console as quickly as he could. A monitor of the warp core energy readings appeared. He went back as far as he could to see if there were any abnomalities. His finger pressed down a on a button to stop the image.
"Yes ma'mn," He reported in a deep voice, "Not long ago at all. 18 minutes and 40 seconds ago. The tiniest of spikes in energy."
He tapped the console to analyze it.
"I noticed it earlier," He admitted, "But passed it off as a normal spike in energy."
Great. With stupidity like that and self pity, he would never see a promotion.
"Apparently it wasn't normal," He said reading the data, "Definitly a product of an abonormality being in the warp core..."

Elizabeth shook her head, sighing deeply. "Don't worry about it, Ensign. No one could've expected this." She growled, drumming her fingers against the metal on her chair. "We should try to get a message to Starfleet out, just in case. I don't to be stuck out here without a comm system."

The officer was about to respond in agreement, but decided against it. He wasn't going to start counseling the Captain on matters that she could deal with it. The large male feline stood at the post and waited for an order. He went back to checking the ship for any other "abnormalities".

-Engineering-
Teran waited patiently while the ship was in mortal peril for someone to give the order to shut down the warp core. He was not alarmed at all, because h knew that the warp core would automatically shut down when the status monitor noticed it could not compensate for the overload. Teran's glanced at the monitor out of the corner of his eyes.
It was green.
Someone had sabotaged the status monitor. The warp core was not going to automatically shutdown, and the Antares would explode while at warp unless they shut it down without even so much as collapsing their warp field. It was not standard operating procedure, but when every other option was less palatable, Teran admitted that it was the most logical course of action.

"Shelved?"
Joqan was now interested. It was not often he heard of someone being... 'shelved'. Joqan hoped he was not prying to much. He was saying very little about himself infact. Just the way it is turning out he supposed.

The Turbolift stops and the doors open. Ray enters deck 10 and look's around. Hmmm.. i wonder why the light's aren't working... he thought. He turned his light on, and get's underway.
