If you were stuck on an island?

If you could bring 5 things on a deserted island what would it be?

mine would be

1 - Cooking Equipments
2 - A Beautiful woman
3 - A dog preferrably a cocker spaniel or yorkshire terrier.
4 - A big knife so I can cut down trees and make a house.
5 - A barbecue grill that don't need gas so I can eat fish on the island.

most important is the Tanning oil, Bathing suit, Sunglasses and a radio.

I would bring a Big machete, a Fishing pole, a lot of books about suvival and information on trees and creatures, some company(preferably a beautfull woman but one that knows how to survive and likes to get her hands dirty) and a Flare gun.


Of course, you can always go for a Cruiseship.

I'd bring:

1) a radio (I mean a serious marine transmitter, not an AM/FM)
2) a battery for the radio
3) a hand-powered generator for the battery
4) a GPS unit (so I can tell them where I am)
5) something to put 1-4 in to keep everything safe and dry

With all that I wouldn't be on that island long enough to get truly hungry.

You know, just having a radio doesn't mean they know where you are.

There have to be 2 signals that cross and point you location.

If oyu don't know where you are, they don't eighter.

Hmmm...

1. Matches (for fire)
2. Airplane (not for the flight capability- island is probably not long enough - but for the instruments!)
3. Non-perishable food (don't want it to go bad on me...)
4. axe (wood)
5. blankets (depending on the temp)

That way I could use the instruments on the plane and the charts that the pilot had to find my position (they had to have a flight plan with them. Any decent pilot would bring all of that info, the data they had would also have their schedual as well so I'd know when people would start looking for me).

And then use the food, matches and axe to survive until then, and the blankets to keep me from freezing.
