I bought it and watched it all. I plan on freeze framing the scene where Anakin burns for the rest of the night.

Just finished it in the last hour. It was great! Brang back good memories of the 7 times I saw it in theatres...
And watched the deleted scenes, the Chosen One documentary, and the Empire at War video game trailer. All great.
And whoa-ee. What a surprise. Looks like they're making a revised version. Producer Rick Mc______ said before the Yoda on Dagobah scene that he hopes that when "George is tinkering around with the revised version..." Yay!

I'm really angry about the deleted scenes.

Spoiler:

Quote:
He should have left Shaak Ti's death in there. It was cool and set up Grievous' evilness. It also showed where Grievous got that lightsaber he had within his cloak on the bridge.

There was also good development with Anakin and Obi-Wan. Especially how they had their little "code" talk with touching their faces. Another good scene that could have depicted how close they were.

Then there were the excellant scenes with the Loyalists(future leaders of the Rebel Alliance.) It would have been nice to have kept that. Nice forshadowing and a great nostalgic feeling came from that scene. It gave a us a taste of the rag tag organization that Luke, Han, and Leia fight with to combat the evil Empire.

Thanks a lot Lucas....(sarcasm)

Now don't harp on Lucas for having to cut back on the movie, even if those were good scenes. He had a time limit for his movie, and he deleted scenes that he struggled with deleting or not, and made a decision. And so, he got out the scenes that weren't as necessary as the other scenes. While I would have liked ALL those scenes to have been in it, I understand his reasons for deleting some of them and only hope that the extended versions are brought to theatres like the special editions, and that it includes those deleted scenes and more. Although those were good scenes, we can't be mad at Lucas for having to get rid of them, when he had to get rid of something and they weren't as necessary as the scenes actually in the movie.

I'm yet to get it on DVD, I only want it for the deleted scenes I think.
I'll probably end up renting it.

They won't rent out the second disc, more than likely.

Those scene were important. It helped develop Anakin and Obi's relationship more. Also the Loyalist meeting was important OT wise. Lucas puts an imaginary time limit on himself. There is no real time limit. Peter Jackson made LOTR over three hours long. Its considered an epic now.

I'm watching the "Within a Minute" documentary right now. It's quite cool, and intriguing how many people, etc were involved in the movie.

I didn't really find that scene worth such attention... was rather sad, really.

More than I thought I would from what people had been saying.

Was sad, I think it's andy's way of feeling like he gets revenge on Anikin for killing the Jedi Children

Yeah, that was pretty bad. But it was like also, total manipulation. Anakin thought he was doing the right thing. He'd been indoctrinated to "defend the republic", and because of Palpatine's mind games, that's what he thought he was doing. The Jedi certainly didn't help their own cause as far a Anakin was concerned.

Wasn't it also alluded to that Palpatine is the reason that Anakin existed at all? The midi-chlorines(?), and manipulating them, creating life, blah blah blah?

Palpatine did that? Wow, I didn't clue in to that at all.

No, that was not the case. There was no hinting there, and that is only pure speculation. I, for one, believe it to be entirely false.

In the scene where they are watching the giant bubbles do whatever, Palpatine was very clear in what he said, RM.
