Do you all believe America is ready for a women president? I'm not saying that to be sarcastic, I mean it literally. Do you all think that they have a good chance of winning?

I think they have a very large chance at winning. A lot of people would probably vote just because they want to see a woman, not because of politics. Some might react the opposite way, but less, so I would surmise.

Hillary does, if the Republicans don't choose a good counter to her.

And I don't see Rush as ANY example of a bad Republican. Just an egotistical maniac, that's all .

Rush has a pompous attitude and automatically seems to hate what liberals do. He uses name-calling as grounds for premise without any support, sometimes. He has this... *shudders* about him, and it makes me growl when I hear him speak. The egotistical thing is really annoying, too, but that's what he's paid for.

lol. And yes, sometimes he's over the top, but I don't see him like you do. I enjoy listening to him and think that he, more often than not, speaks the truth. I don't hear him act like you are describing when I listen to him, and I listened to him several times this week. Sometimes he has a pompous attitude, but I don't think he hates everything that liberals do, and I have NEVER heard him use name-calling as "grounds for premise without any support." Ever in the 3 years I've been listening to him. In those respects there, he's better than Savage, your favorite. No doubt about it.

Listen closely when he speaks of callers which oppose him. And I like Savage because he is deeply philosophical and explains himself thoroughly. He's a scholar and I respect that. I don't always agree with him--a lot less of late--but I can respect what he says. Rush...I haven't heard him say something I can agree with in a while, except some things about Libby. I listen to him most mornings.

If you want to keep going, switch to PM's or make a topic. We're way off.

Secondly, I've heard about MediaMatters. I find a very hard time believing that article. Maybe some of it is true--more than likely so--but nonetheless, I don't trust MediaMatters so much. It's a far-left outlet (as you can see at the side where it talks about MSNBC's coverage leaning to the right, which is FALSE. It's leaning disgustingly to the left) that all should be skeptical about. Besides, what I read from the book at the store is logical and truthful, so yeah.

Prove the points it makes about the book wrong, and i will believe you.

As for the book, you believe that Hillary is a lesbian? Chelsea Clinton was conceived by rape?

I don't even know that that is in the book, and if it truly is, then no, I don't believe that--although I do have a suspection, like my great-grandmother, that Hillary might be a lesbian.

Yes. Whether that female president should be Hillary Clinton though is another matter entirely.

Thatcher was ok as a prime minister, though I don't believe in most of her policies

If a woman like Thatcher ran, I think I would support her. From what I've read and heard of her, she was great.

I wish every person chosen in this thread could be President, just so the American people would realize how little it matters.

Who the President is DOES matter. It is very important, and matters a great deal.

Here, here!

If Hillary runs and is elected, goody for her because she ran a great campaign and was able to prove her qualifications, but if she doesn't win the important thing is that she made the attempt. If a man wins the Presidency, goody for him because he ran a great campaign and was able to prove his qualifications, but the important thing is that he made the attempt. Yes, I'm aware of the fact that I repeated myself, that's the point.

I doubt very much that she's a Lesbian, but if so, what of it? Honestly, how is it any of our business? Besides, whoever made the point of Chelsea being conceived by rape is absolutely right, it makes no sense whatsoever. I think someone who doesn't like her just made up that nonsense to slander her name.

Personally, if Rush runs and wins, I think I'll eat my left foot. He's an arrogant, chauvinistic pain in the ass, and he doesn't deserve to sit in the Oval Office.

I really liked Thatcher...she did an excellent job! Too bad she can't run for President here .

Scrub that, I'm liking the more republican candidates now.

Gov. Romney, Sec. Rice or Sen. McCain

At this point, I'm pulling for John McCain.

I think he gets a bad wrap as being a RINO, but I don't see why he gets it. He's probably the most honest, trustworthy man in Washington, and follows his heart rather than his wallet.

He may be honest, but I wouldn't vote for McCain unless all other options were eliminated (and I don't mean that literally). He's way to liberal for me.
I'd vote, as I believe I've stated before, for Guiliani. He's a good man (despite the personal problems), a good, strong leader, and would be an excellent choice, despite his liberal stance on social issues (which doesn't determine my vote for President much at all).
