With a short little laugh, loren glances over the starbase personel list.

"Be as shocked as you like, but we're not going anywhere till we get crew. So enjoy yourself."

When the commander isn't paying attention, Loren turns her pad back to playing 3d chess against a computer.

She points at one piece on her padd, and moves it up a level.

The commander looks at her funny.

"I am the captain of this ship. You will serve commander Daniel, and anyone else who wishes it coffee. Do I make myself clear?

"Commander, I'm afraid you will have to amuse yourself. As a constellation class vessel, docked at a base with a defiant class vessel, three galaxy class vessels and one admiral's yacht, we're the low-pokes on the totem pole."

Loren smiles with a touch of amusement.

"hmmm... perhaps I will defy a few starfleet laws, and put in a hiring request in at the starbase pub... we need to get out there. I just got word that the IDJ-Devange rescued what was left of some admiral's ship... they need to get more ships out there. Meanwhile, we're sitting here, waiting for personel, and sipping disgusting coffee, while chastising a useless computer..."

Loren scratches her bunny-ears in thought...

"Commander... I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to violate Starfleet general order 3:167-12:
No starship shall hire or borrow from a private vessel, or private crew, under any circumstances.

We need the crew. Starfleet needs this ship. Lets get it rolling then."

With a toss of her hair, and then a quick ear re-adjustment, Loren leaves to go put a request in at the starbase pub.

Loren amusingly smiles at the newest starbase information.

"Well well, looky here. We got a chief of tactical and security officer... hmm... starfleet is paying attention to us! PARTY TIME!"
