It's a toss up of Intrepid and Prometheus.

Intrepid b/c it's just SO SO awesome, fast, sleek, powerful, and maneuverable.

Prometheus b/c of it's tactical ability, speed, somewhat sleek design, and power.

But I chose Intrepid on the post...

I would think about Nova, but it's just so limited...in speed, power, tactical capabilities. It is a nice looking ship though!

Defiant. I would want a small crew, with a tough little ship. And who can resist a cloaking device?

any ship if the Federation could be equipped with Quantum torpedoes. It's not just a Soveriegn trait.

A cloaking device could be applied to any Federation ship, it's just against our treaty or agreement or whatever with the Romulans.

It firstly depends on the timelne you are in, secondly i don't think you really know Starfleet, but they would never equip a Galaxy class or Interprid class with Quantum torpedo's and a cloaking device.

Akira Class. I don't know why, but it seems to me the most logical choice. Although the Miranda class is also cool, and one of my favourites, i still choose the Akira.

Sovereign because it is a flagship class of ship and the most powerful federation ship. It is also the fastest and one of the deepest exploration ships so involving more first contacts and diplomatic missions of meeting new species.

Maybe it's you who just doesn't know Trek.

Yes, I agree depends on the timeline. But we're obviously talking about the current timeline. Up until Nemesis.

Why wouldn't they give an intrepid or galaxy class quantums? I mean they're better than photons, yet they wouldn't give them to an intrepid? ya, w/e.

A cloaking device would be oh so most useful on ANY class of starship...why wouldn't an intrepid or galaxy class get one? If you want to keep ALL your ships up with the times, you have to upgrade them. If that means a load of Quantums and a cloaking device, then Starfleet will equip them.

yes, well. That gets me up to a point for a question that has been burning inside me:

do they still make the old Classes of starships to serve in the fleet? In the timeline of nemesis for example, do they still build Galaxy class starships?

How about really old Classes, like the Daedalus?

becasue i think they don't make the old classes anymore if there is a replacement(like the Sovereign for the galaxy) and thus they wouldn't need too equip Old classes with quantum torpedo's.

i don't think they would refit the still existing old classes with new weapons they didn't have before, they would eighter disband them or let as the way they are, for some reason i think that has to do with the "gone out of hand" Prime directive.
