PostMon Oct 17, 2005 6:29 pm    Home Improvement

My goodness, I've just learnt that Home Improvement has been released onto DVD. Wow!!!

You know, when the show first aired here in England, I was skeptical. The premise seemed very boring and I wondered how they could sustain such a concept. Yet, they actually did. The show was full of misadventures and Tim Allen really seemed to be enjoying himself (as did the rest of the cast). I can't put my finger on why the show was so good, but they did well with the premise, and I loved it.

The series stared in 1991, yet I didn't know until recently that it ran until 1997 and clocked up just over 200 episodes.

I know what I'll be buying on DVD soon. Are there any other fans of the show here?

It's still on stations on TV here. I like the show, but don't think I would buy it on DVD.

I've seen that years ago. I enjoy military comedies like Hogan's Heroes and M*A*S*H. I'm glad they're all on DVD now. Some I buy, some I rent.

You can't beat US sitcoms. Happy Days was another awesome comedy from the US.

I always thought that Happy Days aired in the late 50s/early 60s. Crazy.

It aired in the 70s, but was set in the 50s. And it was pure magic.

Yeah, I know that nooooow, But when it used to air on regular TV when I was younger, it totally seemed 50s-ish.

Home Improvement is a down to earth show, and is fantastic. I just don't watch it as much because of schedules they show it on TV.
