I think enterprise is probably the least popular trek show. Plus nobody's posted in the Ent forum for a week!

i agree with Cap. Proton, a little. Its just that i haven't seen TNG for a while so i can't really ocmpare ENT and TNG anymore. pLus, ENT is currently broadcasted here each saturday. Last season.

I have been been making a point to catch up and watch the enterprise series.Besides 'capt archer' the show is pretty good,he trys to be too friendly and trusting with every species, speeching that we are explorers etc.
T'pol is a good character, she shows remarkable restraint in her acting abillites,to show no emotion. The trip character is great with his southern accent.Malcolm the engineer is a good character too!

Malcolm in the middle
I agree that Archer might have proven himself too be a bit naive, but you can't really blame him. Little did he know of the evil nature of life.
Worst example is when he was "Forced" too kill htose xindi on that colony on that moon in Xindi space or else they where seen, 6 bio signs as i recall. man, get over it. The ywant too destroy the planet for crying out loud!

Of course Enterprise is the least popular. But not for the reasons one might think.
The original series, TNG, DS9, and VOY are all in syndication and have been for at least three years. Various networks can buy the rights to broadcast them in an area. That means that more people are exposed to those series than they could be when the series is still in production and only one network may carry it. Plus, these series are all available on DVD.
Up until quite recently, Enterprise wasn't in syndication, so not as many stations carried it, and people missed out on the series if they weren't willing to follow it on a weekly basis. Reduced exposure means reduced popularity. Now that the show is in syndication and it is being made available on DVD, more people can see it, hence its popularity may rise.
I don't think we'll ever settle which series is more popular. There's hardcore groups that support each one, plus fans who like all or a combination of them.

I kinda like all of them. While of course, Voyager will always be my favourite, I just enjoy watching any Star Trek really, even if some of the eps do suck. I just really don't like TOS, but w/e.

I don't think that it was that bad. Although it didn't run as longs as all the others, I think that if they kept on doing Enterprise for as long as Voyager and all the others that more people would have liked it.

I've just began to watch Enterprise. It's look very 'ancient' compare to TNG and VOY. I mean they don't even have shield! But anyway, I kinda like it....especially the way T'Pol 'insult' human... She even gave Archer new job : the ship's steward

Valakiian Doctor (to Archer & T'Pol): You two are not from the same planet?
T'Pol : No. We maybe look alike, but the similiarity ends there

But if Enterprise had been as popular as the others shouldn't it have lasted 7 seasons at least?

Maybe... but for normal syndication, a seres generally has to reach about 100 episodes. (Thats another reason why 100 episodes is a big deal). Sadly, Enterprise didnt reach 100 episodes, and only had 98. So, there wasnt any of this going on for the sereis run. Between that, and being on a channel that not everyone had, it's no wonder Enterprise didnt do well. Then you ahve the people that did watch it. Some, no matter what, you could not please. I also know that it dont help none, that the one other channel, that had it, was late saturday night. If things were done a little differntly in the broadcasting, I imagine it would be better.

If anyone other than the writers are to blame, it's the network. I have my issues with what was done with Enterprise's plot, but it's nothing compared to the abuse the network heaped upon it.
Enterprise was shuffled and relegated into one of the worst spots imaginable, forced to compete with other shows. The network wanted to attract other, non-SF fans, but it didn't help that they put it in a primetime Friday spot. The hardcore SF fans watched, but other fans probably flipped right by it.

I love Enterprise. Then again i love all the series, but i do generally think people are too harsh on Enterprise. Its a fact that out of the entire star trek series (not including the animated series) Voyager was "the least-watched and least-loved incarnation of Star Trek"
Infact Enterprise was very popular but it was mainly the network, some of the people working on Enterprise and the hard core trekkies in a way that created alot of problems. I take it alot of you watch smallville right? Well Enterprise is basically a Star Trek version of that. Star Trek was becoming too weighed down my "canon information" for a sequel to TNG/DS9/VOY. So they got back to the basics and attempted to have no relation with the other Star Trek series to lift the weight off their shoulders and give viewers something new. But then the series began to change and started to have more relation with past series by involving ferengi & borg etc etc. One other problem was that Enterprise didnt take on TNG's style of "mixing it with the big boys" by incorperating some of the many qualitys of the most popular shows such as ER & CSI.
All in all Enterprise was a very popular show but did begin to slide and in the end the network took too mutch control of it and eventually cancelled it.
As for me, i dont really have a favorite Star Trek. I love all of the series and i find there is always something in Star Trek that suits the mood im in at that time

I think Enterprise will be very popular in years to come. It could become a cult hit in a decade or two.

ENT was a great show. It was its own universe. it wasn't as good as the others. But it was still pretty good.
