GO HABS GO!

Squiggy, when Vancouver actually gets a decent starting goalie, then maybe you can comment on the Habs. But Cloutier? Sit down. He's the worst starting goalie in the league.

Habs are going to own this year.

Koivu - Kovalev - Zednik <---- That line will slaughter all.
Ribeiro - Ryder - Dagenais (I'm hoping Latendresse takes the 2nd line spot. He's an 18 year old rookie who's been compared to Patrice Bergeron. Except Latendresse can hit. He's 6'2" 225lbs.... Passes like no other and has a lot of heart.)
Bonk - Bulis - Sundstrom (Perezhogin might take one of the spots on wing. Amazing rookie with a lot of talent)
Begin - (Undecided wingers but Habs picked up some huuuuge enforcers over the summer)

Souray - Komisarek <---- 2 mack trucks.
Markov - Dandenault <---- Solid
Rivet - Bouillon <---- Hainsey, Lavalle or Streit might win possitions on this line.

Theodore is an amazing goalie. Puts your Cloutier to shame. Unfortunately Huet (our backup) hurt himself in the European league but we have 4 rookie goalies who are all good. Especially Danis and Price.

Yeah... the Habs...

...players of which I have seen videos of, that I do not understand, only marvel at...

So long as it makes Dan happy, it's good.

HABS BEAT DEFENDING STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS TAMPA BAY LIGHTING 6-1 AND THEN WIN THE SHOOTOUT 2-1!

Rookie sensation Guillaume Latendresse was awarded the first star of the game with his 2 goals and 1 assist. He was also a key contributor of 2 of hte other goals in the game. He had the crowd chanting the famed "Guy! Guy! Guy!" A chant that has been used for the likes of Guy Carbonneau and Guy Lafleur. Quite an honour to be bestowed upon the 18-year old, 2nd round draft pick.

Latendresse played on a line with Radek Bonk and Marcel Hossa

Latendresse - 2 goals, 1 assist.
Bonk - 1 goal, 3 assists.
Hossa- 1 goal, 3 assists.

In total that line scored 4 of the 6 goals and got 11 points in total. Other goals were by Steve Bgin and Tomas Plekanec (short handed goal. Beautiful wrap around).

Yann Danis, the youngster who is the favourite to replace Huet as Theodore's backup while Huet is out with an injury was solid for the period and a half he played until Theodore took over.

After the 6-1 victory, the players participated in the shootout that is to be done at the end of every exhibition game to show the fans a new part of the game. Canadiens took this, too, 2-1.

First shot was by Vincent Lecavalier. BEAUTIFUL toe save by Jos Thodore who couldn't help but taunt Vinny Lecavalier after the save. Sean Burke answered by stopping Kaptain Koivu's shot. Prospal rang a shot off the post, still 0-0. AK-27 (Alexei Kovalev) blasts a shattering wrist shot into the top shelf to beat Burke. Kubina answers by scoring for the Bolts. The weight is now on young rookie Alex Perezhogin who answers the team's call and snipes a wrist shot past Burke on the stick side!

The Habs were all over the Bolts. It was a slaughter. At times the Habs would rifle shot after shot at Burke, who was left out to dry as his team mates just weren't capable to clear the puck out of the zone.

Great game, Habs! If this is a sign of things to come, then look out Lord Stanley, Habs have come to reclaim their property!

With lines like these, it could very well be a possibility!

Koivu - Kovalev - Zednik
Ribiero - Ryder - Perezhogin
Bonk - Latendresse - Hossa

Ladies and gentlemen... GUILLAUME LATENDRESSE!

Tomorrow the Montreal Canadiens square off against the Toronto Maple Leafs! Definately watching that one on the big TV! Latendresse is playing again! But this time with Ribeiro and Dagenais instead of Bonk and Hossa. Those two are unfortunately getting the night off.
Perezhogin is playing though! He's 2/2 in shootout shots!

Zednik - Koivu - Kovalev
Dagenais- Ribeiro - Latendresse
Higgins - Plekanec - Perezhogin
Vandermeer - Bgin - Sundstrom

Markov - Lavallee
Cote - Rivet
Souray - Dandeneault

Carey Price

Bruins got their asses handed to them last night shamefully by the Leafs, 5-0.

Those are the two teams I hate the most in the NHL. Leafs and Bruins.

But didn't they make both of their whatever shots?

[EDIT]

Excuse me, all of their whatever shots,

Well, I thought that the Bruins would be better than the leafs. That's sad. What happened to them?
