I can't believe Q is getting such good results. Every other ST site I've been into everyone hates Q. I voted yes. Hes cool.

After some time, I thought 'oh no, HIM again' every time Q showed up. But I think Q is a great character in TNG. He brings a little bit of fun and laughter to the episode he shows up in. Even though he annoyed Picard and Riker, he was fun to see how he saw himself as almighty (duh, logically) and acted like no human(oid) could ever harm him (which might even be true)

And he made a few great episodes, like the one, where Picard goes back to his youth.

I LOVED Q! He was a perfect foil for Picard's straightlacedness, which came off as humorously pompous in reaction to Q's insolence. Q always reminds me of Dr Smith from Lost in Space, or Tribune from The Lost World - the selfish, irritating villain who ends up becoming a sort of friend to the group, and whose flaws make you laugh and kind of make you like him, for some reason.
But there did come a point where I didn't like Q much anymore, and that was in his later appearances in Voyager, where they tried to explore his insecurities, and make him more human, and so on. Some characters just aren't meant for that!

I love Q It would be so easy to ruin or overuse a character like him, but I don't think they did.

The "Q: *snap*" is the sound of Mr.T snapping Qs body in half.

I liked Q in all the shows, but he was at his best on ds9
Q: You hit me! Picard never hit me.
Sisko: I'm not Picard.
Q: Indeed not. You're much easier to provoke. How fortunate for me.

lol...I haven't actually seen that episode, but I have seen the blooper real for that episode...That was pretty funny! And I'm not just talking about the blooper being funny, the actual dialogue in the scene...I knew where it was going...it was funny.

Q was really funny,he really got up Picards nose!I liked the voyager episode when he brought his son Q to be taught a lesson. How his son turned engineering into a nightclub!
Then made seven naked to embarace her,she didnt even care! What a brat from hell! How could you disipline such a kid!Only the fact that Q[dad]could take his powers, finally got him under control!
He was a great character, added heaps of fun to all the series he was in!

I thought Q was hilarious and also had some very interesting points about life and humans in TNG and I liked his on screen chemistry with Patrick Stewart and Kate Mulgrew. The young Q was funny too. Especially since that's John De Lancie's son!
