Hmmm I wish they write a book about ODO striving to become a better changeling in the great link or a sort of History of the Changelings book through the eyes of ODO

- Me too. They have a very interesting relationship. They like each other...even though they'd never admit it.

This is the topic I've been looking for. I think his character so unique such a very interesting character - he's been the only one of his kind for years, and it's interesting to see him interact with the characters. He's got friends, but in a way he's also alone and cut off from his species for along while. He grew up with out them. I can identify with that.

And also for him to know he's different from them, and their different from him. At times he seems almost Vulcan-like. Surpressing his emotions...I wonder what made him do that in the first place. Was it easier for him in his youth before DS9 to deal with certain situations? Or was it something instinctual?

Other things I've been thinking about...is Constable an actual rank? And was he trained in the Bajorian Milita?

I also didnt know he had quarters until "The Abandoned" when Kira comes to give him the house plant as a warming gift. Was it mentioned in a previous episode that he wanted quarters?

- I think it's fascinating to see him express disinterest in love and relationships - only to have him fall in love.

Odo doesn't supress emotion at all, any more than any human being with a stiff demeanor does. He just keeps his feelings to himself, and we find out he has plenty of them, very strong ones.

I identify with him more than any other Trek character, probably. I like the fact that Rene Auberjonois lobbied heavily to get the role, even though they wanted someone younger.

- I didn't know that. Well I'm glad he did, he's Odo is one of the most complex and interesting charaters of DS9. I've tried to catch him on Boston Legal (when SVU is a repeat) but he never seems to be in it much.
