Its good----incompatible with Enterprise, but still good.

it is compatible with enterprise  i really liked the books although the end is a bit predictable  its a good book

Well you know a while ago when you got a Star Trek book, there would be a chapter of a story in the back? well this is that story just published in one book...if you know what i mean

It starts during the Romulan War, and covers the formation of the Federation. However, it was written before Enterprise was out, and in fact there's a page in the front which says "This story is unrelated to the events depicted in Enterprise" or something like that. The main difference is the tech; in SF:YO, they use lasers for point defense and nuclear missiles for long-range attacks.
