PostSat Jul 27, 2002 2:34 pm    First Contact in 1957

In the second episode of the second season, we find out that first contact between Humans and Vulcans didn't happen in Montana with Cochrane, but actually in a small town in Pennsylvania in 1957 shortly after the launch of Sputnik. I think it's 3 vulcans crash landed - one of them, T'Pol's grandmother (who will be played by Jolene Blalock).

I saw it in Star Trek Monthly (Britain's answer to Star Trek : The Magazine). In an interview with Rick Berman he told them that. I don't have any proof unless anyone else has seen it in the magazine? And I don't think it makes the movie pointless..... obviously it's not an official first contact, so maybe no one finds out about it except the people who are involved.

I wonder why we talk about things like this. I know there are lots of nitpickers out there (like me ) but as long as they keep all those good episodes coming does it really matter?
