These are wonderfully written stories by Greg Cox. They weave in Recent History with Trek History to well "Prove" that the Eugenics Wars happend, It incorporates characters from several series' from Gary Seven and Roberta lincolon (TOS Operation: Earth) Gillian Anderson (ST: TVH) Guinan (TNG) Shannon O'Donnell (Voyagers' 11:59) Rain Robinson (Voyagers' Futures End) as well as many others. I am currently in the middle of them and I absolutely love them!!!!!

I've read the first of them; got it by accident to be honest. I was flicking through the pages and found that a character called "seven" was in it alot and put two and two together and got five; i thought it was Seven of Nine rather than Gary Seven. D'oh. I've never seen TOS so I never knew that "Gary Seven" existed.

Still, the book was good - I wish other Star Trek novels could be this length as I feel that the majority are too short and often, too easy to read.

I never knew Rain Robinson was in any of them though lol.

They are indeed superb books, and the characterization of Seven and Roberta is spot-on; I can practically hear them talking, particularly in book 1.

I only have two complaints about the books; One, the Kirk framing story is unnecessary and does nothing but interrupt the flow of the book. And two, there's perhaps a tad *too* much continuity. Gillian Taylor served no function in the story; having her run into Roberta in a bar, only to disappear again, seemed a tad gratuitous.

I don't know why, but when I saw the Episode "Space Seed" The main refference at the age of like 6 I used to be afraid of Khan LOL.

I haven't read the Books yet, although I bought them at Christmas 2002

The Kirk portion is rather annoying. As for the Gillian Andersdon Area, I found it interesting that she has a conversation with Roberta, and later is mentioned by Shannon as being abducted by aliens, when they are looking at the items Checkov lost in ST IV. Also The addition of Jeffery Carlson, from DS9's Little Green Men, brought all the shows except ENT into the mix, I find it really interesting
