What would you do if u had stable omega and living in the star trek universe? If you was the head of starfleet and deciding on how to implement it. Would you use it instead if a warp drive, to power ships, would you use it to power a planets needed power, Would you use it as a weapon?

I'd study it, figure out what made it stabble then create more, use then to power planets and destroy my enamys.

I'd use it against the Borg, Picking off all their ships, one at a time, just to see the look on the Borg queen's bald-headed, pipes-coming-out-of-back-of-head face!

I would safely destroy it. Stable or not, it could still blow up, and if all my ships were using it... Heck, the whole dang galaxy would be filled with subspace fractures, and no one would ever go to warp again. So much for the Federation.

It might be the only way to adapt a new faster-than-light
travel method due to the negative effects of warp travel
on subspace [See ST:TNG. "Force of Nature"].

I'd make one ultra ship, so if it started to destabilize, the whole galaxy wouldn't be scattered in subspace fractures
Well...since I'll probably never have to worry about it, I guess I won't think any further into it.

I am sort of split on whether I would use it or destroy it. In my opinion it's like nuclear power. Sure it could provide a nice amount of power, but at what cost? The molecules are terribly unstable, and there is no way to predict when they might decide to go critical. And once that happens, there is no time to stop it. All you can do is sit there and let your life flash before your eyes. On the other hand, it could be an incredible source of energy to someone who was desperate and felt that it was worth the risk to use it.

It seems that the Omega thing is very interesting to a lot of us. I recommend reading the Section 31 book entitled "Cloak" which has Kirk ont the cover. It isn't a long read, and it talks at length about interesting Trek issues like the Romulans of the 23rd century, the start of Section 31 and Kirk's dealing with it, and the Omega molecule, and why there was an Omega directive. It was a great book, in my opinion.
