to go out of the house in fear of their own lives?
For my part, if it's meant to be, it just happens.
Everything happens for a reason.
Who agrees with me?

Or Israel. Did you know that Saddam will pay a Palestenian suicide bombers family up to $25,000.00?? He's given them over $13 million. Great guy.

That makes me curious. Does anyone know the G.N.P. of Iraq?

Hi,
I've always believed that everything happens for a reason casue it dose! Its not always clear why things happened, bad things like ppl close to you that die. I understand the reason why my Mother died. Alot of ppl think that I'm strange casue I understand I'm only a 14 yr old but its very simple.

I'm too scared to even leave the bedroom by myself, but I'm getting help for that
Seriously, I'm worried about the IRA. I heard rumours that they were operating in the area where my family lives and it scares me. My mum told me of the time my Grandad was meant to be in a pub in Birmingham when it was blown up by the IRA, luckily he'd gone back to the hotel for something. I just hope the peace process in Ireland works out.

well, it all depends where you live. If you live in a bad place, then theres a reason to be worried, but if you live in a safe area then you shouldnt really have to much of a problem

Thats sad that bad things happen, I guess this world is filled with that.
Just put your faith in God, pray to take your troubles away.
Its always nice to know someones listening.
Or you can take and get hooked on Anti-Depressants. One takes some of the problems away and helps you work through them, Youth groups or Adult Christian groups are good to get involved in for a good support group. The other makes you feel happy no matter what happens. They both make it less painful.
I joined a youth group and I am not as lonely as I was. I am happy alot of times too.

At home in the U.S, no I am not afraid.
If I was an Iraqi citizen, yes I would be afraid.
I'd risk it though, because I would know if I didn't loot or steal I probably wouldn't eat.
I'd probably try and loot/steal as much as I could from all the government buildings, once I got a nice size truck(probably a military truck) I would try and get alot of other Iraqi's involved in stealing military trucks. Then we would go out and collect/loot as many barrels as we could and then try to start smuggling Oil across the border. I would have one of the Iraqi's make deals with the Turks and then we would sell Oil to the turks that we would get from Old Oil silos.
If I was an Iraqi citizen, chances are either your going to starve to death, or you have a chance of surviving if you loot or try and recieve aid packages.
THis is just what I think.

I live in Canada, so I am not generally concerned. I do, however, live somewhat close the United States... But still, I'm not concerned about my safety.

You shouldn’t be scared.
You should stand up to all EVIL. Leave your house and parade the streets knowing that you are better than them.
That’s what I do. I know I don’t live in a dangerous area such as you. I do live in quite a rough city though (Ipswich, England). There have been people murdered in the streets, banks robbed and other horrible happenings. But I can say with full guarantee, that if I was in one of those situations, I would stand up to the perpetrators, even if it resulted in my death.
And for anyone about to retaliate with something like: “Your avatar suggests that you support freedom and anarchy”…I would reply with: “The statue of liberty, despite it’s name, stands for knowledge and enlightenment”.

Enough. I'm sick and tired of this eccentric religious psychobabble…the world, the galaxy and the universe happened by chance, simple. I believe that it happened by chance, because we cannot prove that a god created it. It will all cease to exist by chance. If a star supernovas within 30,000 light years of earth, earth will be destroyed. The End.
Now to quote the brilliant Roddenberry…
"I condemn false prophets, I condemn the effort to take away the power of rational decision, to drain people of their free will--and a hell of a lot of money in the bargain. Religions vary in their degree of idiocy, but I reject them all. For most people, religion is nothing more than a substitute for a malfunctioning brain."
"We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes." (in Free Inquiry, autumn, 1992)
"I've always thought that, if we did not have supernatural explanations for all the things we might not understand right away, this is the way we would be, like the people on that planet. [ST:TNG Who Watches the Watchers] I was born into a supernatural world in which all my people -my family- usually said That is because God willed it, or gave other supernatural explanations for whatever happened. When you confront those statements on their own, they just don't make sense. They are clearly wrong. You need a certain amount of proof to accept anything, and that proof was not forthcoming to support those statements."

I'm allowed to be scared... someone's tried to run me over, shoot me, and generally just tried to kill me. If that doesn't make someone paranoid, what does?

Heh, Dana, I'm twelve and I already think like that... people think I'm weirder than all the weirdos in the world combined...
I am paranoid, so... of course... I am scared of leaving my house. But staying in my hosue won't fend off bad guys, you know. They can come in and attack you if they want to. So, basically, I think nowhere's safe.
