Hey all,

Just finished the book Planet X, the crossover between X-Men and Star Trek...first of all the concept was a little too comic bookish. That is, of course, where this series began and should have stayed IMO.

The whole story revolves around the X-Men teaming up with the crew of the Enterprise to save a planet whose population have begun to exhibit unusual powers. Those powers have been artificially seeded into the population in an effort by aliens to use their super powers against aggressors and to become aggressors in their own right.

The cover asks if the M-Men and the crew of te Enterprise can solve the mystery and save the planet? Of course they can...instead it should have asked if the reader can extend their disbelief long enough to buy this load of garbage.

I can honestly say that I am a fan of both Star Trek and X-Men, but in the end they just don't mix effectively.

Yes.....that was kind of wierd.

If anything, it should be congradulated for making the story *slightly* believable.

I'm afraid the prospect doesn't do much for me.
