Deanna Troi's hair was WILD in TNG...What is up with that bun from Season One? Plus, her hair in the first episode, Encounter at Farpoint, was nuts! Her hair was huge!!! It was like a weird-kind of afro...Wait...not really...actually...it didn't look like an afro at all..forget I said it...

Her hair in the TNG movies was great, though. Her hair in the movies was much longer and it made her look 10x better looking. Troi is very attractive, especially in the movies. Her hair looks much better longer...and did her hair color change from black to brown?

Troi's hair in the series was very 1980s, by the time of the movies it was more normal.

This is a bit off topic, but stil concerning Troi. Did Troi has a rank? I think I saw her wearing three pins (commander rank) in Farpoint.

Troi started off as a Lt. Commander until late in TNG's run, where she was promoted to Commander.

Ya, it was the episode that Data lost his memory and was the "Ice Man" on the planet that Troi got promoted to Commander...but the direct question was did she have a rank...therefore the answer is yes, "commander." LOL...

Anyway, that's what I thought. You just triggered my memory of her being promoted to Commander though...

I C. It's just that if they show Troi waering the rank pins in the first episode, they should let Troi wear them in all episodes.

well, if she's not in "proper" uniform, which her catsuits weren't proper uniform, then she shouldn't wear her rank...because it belongs on her uniform, not in her "non-military" attire. The same standard rules apply for us in the military today...

Why didn't she wear uniforms in the series, anyway?

Marina Sirtis looked super ridiculous with all that hair. Reminds me of my parents' wedding video. My mom had similar hair. But, that's the 80's for you!

She looked so much better on the big screen; really, she's aged beautifully and her hair is long and straight. Truly nice.
