PostThu Apr 05, 2007 7:53 pm    Star Trek Voyager II Idea

Hey, I have a thought, How would you like to see a Phase II of Voyager?
Set in 2407 in the Star Trek Online universe, the experimental U.S.S. Voyager, equipped with an advanced Quantum Slipstream Drive uses elements of QS, Borg Transwarp, and Coaxial Warp technologies, will take you where no one has gone before. There will be a new crew. The EMH's Mobile Emitter will cause the Federation-built Borg technologies to evolve into 29th Century technologies. The Borg we know has evolved into "Technomorphs" and half the Collective will be peaceful and other half will be hostile. The new series will be inspired by TOS, TAS, TNG, ENT, and it's predecessor. Oh, for Voyager do you want it to be refitted to either Millitary or Warship, or merged and see what it look like?

So, what do you think?

Is 'Coaxial Warp' something you coined or did you hear it on Star Trek? I'm just wondering because I've never heard of it before and I was wondering what it was. I know that coaxial cable is in almost every house in america. It's how people watch tv.

Coaxial Drive is first showned on Voyager as a Space-Fold Technology invented by the Delta Quadrant species that I forgot what kind.

No, that's the one where the alien steals Tom's physical appearance and then latter trades Tom's appearance for Janeway's.

No, it's Vis a Vis from season 6.

I think this is a really exciting idea, but that pic of voyager with all those extra guns added on, I think, is horrendous! Sooo un-Starfleet.

I feel bad for not remembering, but what about the ship from DS9? That was a pure warship wasn't it?

Small, sleek, fast and lots of fire power. I think the star trek universe rolls with the punchs or the story line at the time, which sometimes includes going to war.

ahh.. yet to delve into the series, but so far i am entertaining the Voyager II idea. This is such a great story that has stood the test of time, reflected an epoch of destructive politics, territorial advantage and lastly, dominion over the weak.

There is more to build on. Or i say this now because i am barely a third into the heart of the story. It'll be imprudent to speculate @ this point, but good plot so far.

For all i know, in voyager, this Romulan-Cardassian-Federation alliance sounds like a myth in my timeline. I am in SE06, TNG. So far, the cardassians are holding their space, the Romulans are constantly venturing into the neutral zone... i eagerly anticipate catching up and experiencing how the story developed to..

sounds like a case of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.'

Yea, wtf, dude deserved a promotion! It's funny how some characters never get a promotion...Paris was demoted and promoted back and Harry never made it past ensign?

I would like to see a Voyager II television series but do not think it will realistically happen due to all the ST 2.0 feature film stuff going on, ST:TNG gang 'signed on' still for 2 more feature films.
Realistically I can see maybe 2 TNG miniseries happening in the next 2 years as well as maybe a miniseries of Voyager happening. a whole season of Star Trek probably not in the next 3 years.

Paramount will want to make another feature film with Chris Pine (Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Karl Urban (Dr.'Bones' McCoy) and not confuse the new fans of the Trek 2.0 reboot franchise.

I would enjoy seeing something along those lines happen, but I would like to see any star trek series come out to make up for enterprise...

Maybe not a bad idea, but can't we just use the Dauntless. And make the plot such that Starfleet stole it from the Borg and used it to learn more about all that technology?
