Has anyone ever heard of star trek phase two?
it was soposed to air in '72 but it never happened
i wonder what it would have been like.

"Phase 2" was supposed to be a new Star Trek series, supposedly after the Enterprise's initial 5 year mission. The series was frought with all sorts of problems from the start, not the least of which was Leonard Nimoy's refusal to rejoin the cast. The Phase 2 pilot became Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Nimoy became Spock again. Phase 2 would've simply been another Star Trek series no different from DS9 and Voyager. In fact, a lot of the soundstages, artwork and storylines "The Child" were recycled into what we now know as Star Trek: The Next Generation.
