Everyones expecting the sequel to be about the klingons, and heres an actual glimpse of how they vere re-visualized in the new trek here. Some board folks called them uruk hai looking and imho thats a really good description (FIND the half...i mean federation,FIND them, rargh! etc)

There was a ton of deleted scenes to cut down the movie running time to about 2 hours, that the director loved but he was also worried it might confuse people and the general plot.(the klingons actually had a fair sized part in it)

I guess they did cut out a lot. The movie was great, but I'm looking forward to the DVD already. I'll probably have to wait until Christmas.

Yeah they didnt want to confuse the plot i guess by adding in more bg stuff.Maybe they wanted to keep it as simple as possible for attracting a new generation of trekkers (didnt they say they hated technobabble and was going to keep it to a minimum in the movie ? Not a bad thing,at least no one was going " we need to reverse the polarity of the tachyon beam!")

It would make good business sense to release it over christmass,i just hope they give us the best version then and not a basic DVD,and then later release a Extended version special edition dvd like they did with LOTR,but hey, their in it for the money so they might as well get loyal fans to buy two different DVD copies knowing them ;/
